1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO][BOUNTY] SPARC - Supercomputer Coins - KingsDS on: March 20, 2018, 11:42:09 PM

Last year I took part in this company,
but did not understand until now here everything ended, never started ...
or there will be some continuation of this project ...

On twitter @sparc_team passed on acquiring the ethereum ENS addresses sparctoken.eth and sparctokens.eth. That doesn't prove anything either way about how serious the SPARC project is but to me since the .eth address is supposed to be the ".com" of ethereum it's like Microsoft passing on acquiring microsoft.com.

Anyway, if anybody wants to give the ENS addresses sparctoken.eth and sparctokens.eth a good home I posted them for sale on namebazaar.io, since the SPARC people don't want them, at 1 ETH each. After all, I need the ETH if I want to invest in SPARC later this year.
2  Bitcoin / Legal / Blockchain and DMCA on: September 20, 2017, 07:17:03 AM
I am curious on whether this might be legal or not for a decentralized version of YouTube. #wtfu

Let's say hypothetically someone created a video sharing site and each video's internet address corresponded to something like an ethereum address. Sort of like how ZeroNet addresses correspond to bitcoin addresses. After the site was registered as a "safe harbor" under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act a system of smart contract was set up to handle DMCA takedown and counter-notices.

The system works as follows: In order to create an account you had to have enough minimum ethereum to put into a new account's corresponding address and to have a video uploaded fully to the video site you have to deposit X amount of ethereum plus the transaction fee. The number of videos a user can upload to the video sharing site depends on the amount of ethereum in the main account address that can be divided
 into number of video uploads plus transactions fee(s).

If someone wants to claim a video on the site infringes on their copyright they create a new user account for the video sharing site and deposit enough ethereum to cover the videos they want removed (equal to the amount of ethereum it takes to upload the videos plus transaction fee) and the alleged infringing videos are removed. There are a certain number of blocks time for the video poster to challenge the DMCA takedown and have the videos restored (e.g. a month or two). If the DMCA takedown isn't challenged the ethereum from the alleged infringing video address goes to the account of the person making the claim (minus a transaction fee). If however the DMCA is challenged with a counter-notice and a lawsuit isn't filed after around two weeks block time the ethereum from the account of the person making the claim goes to the site (e.g. maintenance cost for process, ect) or is split some way between the site and the accused uploader since the uploader is also damaged by having the content disabled.

This system would help discourage both copyright infringement and false copyright claims by putting an actual price to such activities.

What I am wondering is:

1. Is it possibly legal to require someone to put ethereum upfront to make a copyright claim since the money is returned if the copyright claim is validated by the system?
2. Would the site be legally justified in keeping or splitting the ethereum if the DMCA takedown was challenged and no lawsuit was filed (e.g. DMCA Section 512(f)?

Exchanges Huh

No more mining HAM in the sha256d.ispace.co.uk pool. I think we can declare HamRadioCoin (classic?) a silent key.

If anybody wants to send W3DTV (that's my callsign) their HAM coins my HAM address is 1FCvch7Nv5F2ZZAG8Ry44gBELSvoALycGY

tons of talent on this page(20) willing to help
save the HAM!

Maybe a new HAM coin can be created and like CLAM every address of "old" HAM existing at a certain block number gets a certain amount of the new HAM coin.

Teslacoin wallet is not synchronized. Did everything as written above and nothing. Is there a node for this wallet?

When I resynced recently the last block time paused a lot. When you start the wallet go to help-> Debug window. If the last block time goes forward and stops you might just have to keep opening and closing the wallet every time it stops.

This is just a small handful of Tesla topics that Teslacoin should be supporting in my opinion.

Also in the computers we use today. Nikola Tesla invented the AND logic gate. He was also very close to discovering memristors a century ahead of time. He just somehow missed it in his radio detector research.

I've compiled about 25 pages in a notebook on the subject of Teslapunk (cyberpunk derivative) narrative. I plan on posting the notes on the internet soon. Maybe as a free e-book. This guide will help people to write speculative Teslapunk fiction; or maybe some new myths.

If you suddenly hear a new myth about Tesla sending radio waves back and forth through time by inducing artificial long-delayed echoes and that some forms of skiffle is "Teslapunk music" you'll know where that came from. Wink

Was the Teslacoin forum brought back with the official site? I was on it a while back and since then I have some new things about Tesla research and free energy to share.

I was the one on the forum whose opinion was that Teslacoin should embrace all of Nikola Tesla's work and not just free energy. Now that HamRadioCoin is functionally extinct and since Nikola Tesla invented radio I think that makes my opinion of embracing all of Tesla's work stronger.

Well, last block was generated more than 1 day ago so... it will take a while.

Code:
{
"blocks" : 1259030,
}

That's exactly where I am stuck at. Did someone fry the blockchain with a Tesla coil?
