Should posts such as this be reported here?

User 3la2 made a direct quote of the OP from the poloniex announcement thread. He's not added a comment to the quote, it's just a spam post. By quoting it he's not technically copy pasting, but he might as well have.

COIN DEVS: BEWARE OF SCAMMERS CLAIMING TO BE FROM POLONIEX. I (busoni/Tristan) am the only one who has the authority to list coins. Furthermore, I will never approach you and ask for a bounty.

Please note: if you need support, the fastest way to get it is to open a ticket at poloniex.freshdesk.com. Please include all relevant information, e.g. txid for deposits, exact amounts, etc. And please, don't open multiple tickets with the same problem, or send the same issue to several different places. It will only slow things down.

I would like to announce a new cryptocurrency exchange - Poloniex.com.

Another exchange? Why?

Several reasons. Here are the major ones.

First, none of the major exchanges are listing NXT. DGEX is great, but I have long wanted to see NXT on an exchange that has candlestick charts and executes trades at the best possible price. I also think NXT will benefit from being on more than one exchange, and listed alongside other, more well-known currency pairs.

Secondly, I want the fees to be fair, with no surprises. Trading fees are 0.2%, and they will never be raised. Having no fees is not sustainable and will ultimately result in corners being cut, and having no fees for a while to draw customers in and then suddenly imposing them feels like a bait-and-switch to me. Like Pete at CoinedUp, I find withdrawal fees to be outrageous, so Poloniex charges only the TX fee imposed by the client.

Lastly, it is a top priority to keep Poloniex running smoothly. We will not bite off more than we can chew. If traffic starts swamping the servers or we have any problems with the functionality of the exchange, we will address the problem before continuing to expand. We will be upfront about issues.

How can I trust you?

Trust has to be built. I will operate Poloniex with honesty and integrity and be as transparent as possible when answering your questions. I believe this is the only true way to earn trust.

I will monitor this thread and respond to your questions and feedback. If there is anything you have always wanted to see in an exchange, please let us know!

We are close to death cross now and if we don't bounce to 10k quickly we take this cross. Let's discuss how it can impact on bitcoin price. My forecast if we take it, we get bitcoin fall down to 3k at least within one big red candle. Any other opinion?
I can see this happening as I think people are too quick to dismiss the market activity in 2013/2014 as not happening again. If you compare the charts the pattern almost looks like a exact repeat of 2014 where the market crashed, briefly recovered to about 50% of the previous high which held for maybe two months and then it crashed down again even further.

If you compare the charts the pattern almost looks like a exact repeat of 2014 where the market crashed, briefly recovered to about 50% of the previous high which held for maybe two months and then it crashed down again even further. That time it took the remainder of 2014 and all of 2015 before the market started to slowly rise again in 2016, and taking nearly to 2017 to return to the 2013 highs.

Point of all this is it has only been two months since the ATH's and it takes much longer than a few weeks to fully correct and recover. Hopefully the process does not draw out as long as it did last time, and maybe not go as deep, but getting back to the OPs point, I can fully see BTC dipping to 3k yet, albeit briefly, before taking off. I can also see this drawing out all through the summer and fall and maybe not starting a earnest recovery until sometime in 2019.

Bitcoin is not dead lol. The price is getting low but bitcoin will not die quickly we can recover it in somehow. Many people thought bitcoin is secretly dying I just wanted to say that its wrong Bitcoin will back soon to higher value.

Obviously Bitcoin won't die. Just like the stock market, bitcoin too is subject to ups and downs in price. It is the belief of people that makes Bitcoin stronger. Every time the market falls, people consider it the right opportunity to invest and make money, and I am sure that a lot of people would take this low price as an opportunity to invest in bitcoin.

Also, going by the past trends, bitcoin usually upscales towards the ending quarters of the years. Even in 2017, it was the last quarter that resulted in such a high price for bitcoin.
So just sit back, invest, and then watch the market go up.

your response will be very useful for me, and maybe some visitors who read this thread. and thank you for your comments.

I don't know whether you have heard about mutual fund schemes provided by the Asset Management Companies. They invest a part of your income in equity and the other part in debt and give you returns almost equal to 20-30%. I suggest you check out with a local agent about the mutual fund policies available in your area

I suggest you check out with a local agent about the mutual fund policies available in your area. They are also regulated by government and hence you will have that trust factor.
There is just one advisory though, that mutual fund policies are subject to market risks and you can also lose money if luck doesn't favor you.

Hi guys what you should do if you have an excess money?..saving or investing it?
Investment is better than saving. But for investment in any business you have to do some market research and then analyse the opportunities and potential return on investment.

I think you should also invest a part of it which can yield you guaranteed profits and it will also help you in multiplying the amount of bitcoins in your wallet. Investment is better than saving. Really? Is beta.bitcointalk.org legit the latest version? It's been 3 years and this is it? What is it being coded in... assembly?

If I remember correctly, the budget for the site was in the tens of thousands of BTC. At today's value, it'd probably be a $50MM bid. I'm thinking the admins were swindled in the bid... I think it should go back open or at least make a more open competition for the new software.

Edit: Found the source. It's freaking Javascript... that's why. Who would want that ungodly mess to manage? ew.

Edit2: https://github.com/epochtalk/epochtalk for those that can't google.
Just because it's hard work, that doesn't mean it's good work. Given the time frame of the project, and the apparent budget, the progress should be better. Not to mention that there are forum softwares out there that meet the needs to begin with. The theme of the new forum is trash. Plain and simple.

This is cut and paste SPAM.

Good time to buy Doge - its just fall cause everything fall atm. Normal.

Doge will go higher up when Bitcoin goes higher up, and that's likely to happen soon. Doge will be a top coin again soon.

dogethereum project already progressing now. https://reddit.com/r/dogethereum
DOGECOIN community and ETHEREUM community already supported to us. BEST OF GOOD LUCK TO ALL! THANK YOU.

I couldn't understand why doge was pumping until I read that. Doge pumped ages ago when ethereum announced it was considering using doge in a project. It seemed to me like nothing had come of it, and most others must have thought the same because doge's price has been low until now.

In as few words as possible what does dogethereum do?
