1  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to get hands-on with bitcoin script development on: March 05, 2019, 03:23:21 AM
I've been looking for a tool to experiment with bitcoin script for a while now, and I finally finished developing one myself: https://bitauth.com/ide/

BitAuth IDE is an open source project for designing advanced scripts for bitcoin and bitcoin-like cryptocurrencies. It’s both a learning sandbox and a tool for designing new kinds of wallets.

It includes a live-updating, interactive, line-by-line debugger, which visualizes that state of the stack over the entire execution of the program. There's also an entity and variable system for automatically generating private keys, public keys, and correct signatures across locking and unlocking scripts.

See here for a more detailed tour and a video walkthrough:

And the source is on GitHub: https://github.com/bitauth/bitauth-ide

Hi there – my Bitcoin Wiki account is User:bitjson – I'd like to update the Script article to include links to some new open source development tools I just released:

BitAuth IDE — Write and Debug Custom Bitcoin Scripts: https://blog.bitjson.com/bitauth-ide-write-and-debug-custom-bitcoin-scripts-aad51f6e3f44

Could my account be verified? Thanks!

You should look into starting a Charter City in Honduras.  Plenty of info out there but here is a good summary:

Except the governments are growing wary of free spaces at this point.

The blockchain is getting really big and it takes like a whole day now to download it. I think the size could become a problem in the future.

It can be trimmed though.

They'll be given away over time.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Im Buying XRP Ripple coins! on: May 06, 2013, 06:31:20 AM
To me it seems unwise to be buying up XRP for speculative purposes at this point. Am I missing something here? As I understand it, OpenCoin is planning to give away millions/billions more XRP for free in the coming months. Surely that will affect the market value of XRP don't you think? Or is everybody just dealing in short term trading here?

Wise words.

Topic: Storing wallet away for 5 to 10 years.

Don't forget where you leave it. Anyone read that story of the person who had 4,600 BitCoin from back in 2011, put on flash drive, forgot about it, remembered he had it during the recent April BitCoin boom, but lost it? Will try to find link.

Is there any way to determine how much Bitcoin has been orphaned like this?
