1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All GPU's Settings / Results Thread on: May 11, 2013, 08:42:35 AM
Catalyst: 12.6
SDK: 2.6
OS: Win 7 x64
CGMiner: 2.11.4

5770 - 217kh/s - --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 -g 1 --intensity 18 --thread-concurrency 3100 --gpu-engine 937 --gpu-memclock 1250
6770 - same as 5770 but I'm running it at 900/1250 as it's passively cooled so only getting 207kh/s from it at the mo.
7870 - 406kh/s - --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 -g 1 --intensity 19 --thread-concurrency 15232 --gpu-engine 980 --gpu-memclock 1250

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your khash/s? (Pissing contest here) LTC on: May 06, 2013, 10:42:04 AM
1x5770@937/1250 - 217kh/s
1x6770@900/1250 - 207kh/s - it's passively cooled hence lower clock!
1x7870@980/1250 - 407kh/s
3xCore2CPU - 18kh/s

Total 849kh/s

may well invest in more but at limit of old mobo's and psu's so it would be a big initial cost Sad
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC mining: 7870 ghz edition, only getting about 280mhs Help? on: May 04, 2013, 03:27:48 PM
can i ask what SDK and Driver version you are using?
struggling to get my 7870 over 250kh/s
too many variables!

cheers

well, despite my FC address being removed from my profile by unknown means and being unable to add the address back in due to some weird unknown wallet error, i did actually get paid for the second time to the original address i had entered

this is all a bit weird but i have my coins. about 36 each time which is about my daily mining rate.

i'm back to LTC for a bit now until this pool settles down
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ltcoin Feathercoin Pool; no payouts? [Sigh, relegated to the newbie bin] on: April 30, 2013, 03:57:16 PM
well, I have no payout address anymore and I can't enter one as it says "Wallet isn't right!"

I have been paid once though but until this problem is resolved, I might move my miners elsewhere.

we need something to get the confidence in this pool back to where it should be
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Windows + CGMiner - My Settings plus general discussion on: April 30, 2013, 09:59:32 AM
hmm, that's all a bit weird. mine are dedicated mining rigs for now so I don't have to worry about other driver components like hdmi audio etc
you might have your hand forced on driver version for your HTPC stuff

I can't explain your troubles with the CCC. it's worked ok for me.

I did have some troubles with CGMiner with 2.8 and 2.7 versions of the SDK but it's been fine for me with 2.6.
Sorry I can't be much more help. I've learned as I've gone and know enough to setup my rigs as they are and not much more!

nice. glad it's working.
which miner is guiminer using on the backend. try cgminer for maybe better hash rates
at stock speeds, i think 150 is a little low for a 6770.
i'm getting ~210 @ 950/1300

at least your mining now  Grin

cool. yes please post your hash rates. dont forget you may need to downgrade your catalyst drivers too
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Windows + CGMiner - My Settings plus general discussion on: April 29, 2013, 06:56:11 PM
that will be a sweet setup. maybe you could hook up a dog and wheel to power it!
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Windows + CGMiner - My Settings plus general discussion on: April 29, 2013, 06:38:11 PM
i've successfully downgraded my SDK without entering safe mode
you just need to delete opencl.dll and amdocl.dll from the c:\windows\syswow64 folder after uninstalling the current version
also, do custom installs of any future driver installs so they don't upgrade your SDK automatically

i haven't run stock clocks for a while but you should get around 200KH/s with 900/1250 and 210KH/s with 950/1300

i use GPU-Z to ensure my clocks are what they should be
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Windows + CGMiner - My Settings plus general discussion on: April 29, 2013, 06:21:25 PM
yes, you will always need the SDK. not just for LTC. it's how the mining programs interface with the graphics card
i expect the 13.5 package installed it automatically. you can verify by starting to go through the uninstall process and choosing custom.
it will show you all of the installed components.

if you are moving to LTC from BTC then i would consider doing a bit of research on which SDK and driver version are best for your hardware

i use cgminer and the scrypt readme clearly states SDK 2.6 is best for 5xxx and 6xxx cards
i also get the best hash rate with 12.6 drivers. i was on 13.1 before that. the difference was quite a lot of KH/s

i got paid too  Grin
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Catalyst 13.4 (Win 7 x64) - No more mining for me ! on: April 29, 2013, 06:08:29 PM
well assuming it isn't just one of those things, have you tried a full uninstall of everything (option from add/remove of driver), delete the two dll's then install again?

for scrypt with cgminer, catalyst 12.4 with sdk 2.6 works well
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ltcoin Feathercoin Pool; no payouts? [Sigh, relegated to the newbie bin] on: April 29, 2013, 06:04:01 PM
hi, i am also stuck on your island.

but the good news is, i got a payout today from fc.ltcoin.net

i had moved my miners when i got over my payout threshold of 25FC but have moved them back now i have been paid
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Catalyst 13.4 (Win 7 x64) - No more mining for me ! on: April 29, 2013, 05:57:55 PM
you can do a custom uninstall of catalyst and just select the SDK components, then delete opencl.dll and amdocl.dll from syswow64 then install a new SDK version.

i would go with Catalyst 12.6 and SDK 2.4-2.6 for Scrypt

so this is my attempt at a useful post to get me closer to getting out of the newbie forum!

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Catalyst Driver: 12.6
AMD APP SDK: 2.4

Boards: Radeon 6770 + 5770
GPU:  950MHz
Mem: 1300MHz
Volt:  1.125

Miner: CGMiner 2.11.4

Pools: wemineltc.com, fc.ltcoin.net

My CGMiner batch file as follows...

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu.wemineltc.com:3333 -u myusername -p mypassword --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 3100 -g 1 --intensity 17

I'm using a Catalyst Control Center profile with a modified XML file to get around the AMD Powerplay 2D GPU Clock throttling problem.
Really irritating having clock speeds topping out at 500MHz. Can get between 205 - 215 KH/s with the above settings  Tongue

Getting around 1 LTC per day give or take. Hopefully doubling that with a 7870 coming on board this week  Grin

If anyone needs any help or has any suggestions for a better hash rate, let me know.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What the hell I should post being that I am a newbie anyway? on: April 29, 2013, 09:32:46 AM
shame replies don't count towards the 5. I don't want to spam but 4 more might be tricky
