Anyone had success mining with the new Catalyst 13.4 ?

I upgraded mine from 13.1 to 13.4 and since, I cannot mine anymore, with poclbm or diablominer Sad
Tried to revert to 13.1 without success, the only solution I've found is to use another install of windows (In my case is't win 8 x64 with 13.1 Catalyst)

OpenCL is now part of the drivers and no more a seperate package, this should be related.

Ahh, I did not know of this, I was wondering how opencl got installed when I installed 13.5 beta 2, cuz I did not see the sdk package at all in the driver package. I was clueless.

This is something to note. Thanks.

Have you tried 13.5 beta 2 driver?

Yes, do an image backup. This is strongly recommended.

Well, it is recommended to do an image backup prior messing with drivers. That way you could reimage your sdd/hdd back to its original state if something goes wrong.

you can do a custom uninstall of catalyst and just select the SDK components, then delete opencl.dll and amdocl.dll from syswow64 then install a new SDK version.

i would go with Catalyst 12.6 and SDK 2.4-2.6 for Scrypt

well assuming it isn't just one of those things, have you tried a full uninstall of everything (option from add/remove of driver), delete the two dll's then install again?

for scrypt with cgminer, catalyst 12.4 with sdk 2.6 works well

I went further than that

Uninstall all ati (was on 13.4 at that time)
reboot
remove opencl (via the opencl.msi package from the 13.1, which I tried to add)
reboot
remove files in syswow64 & system32 (opencl, atiocl ... clinfo, all that, based on date) and ati/amd folders in program files / program files x86
reboot
reinstall 13.1 with setup
reboot
tried diablominer. success !!

I tried 13.5b2 before, same result but it was expected as opencl driver is the same that in 13.4

So now I'm back with working 13.1

The best I managed to obtain with 13.4 (even tried to install 2.8 sdk) was 100% hwerror :/

Damn, they really f*cked up everything with those catalyst. Why the hell did they want to integrate opencl into the driver itself ?!
