1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 23, 2018, 02:29:12 AM
So are there no others in this thread that got the wrong amount this week?  Last week I had 740 BTX and got a drop of 37 BTX (5%).  This week I had 725 BTX and got a drop of 17 BTX (about 2.5%).  I'm quite upset and I really would like to have an explanation.  I love the coin otherwise...

You obviously sent some BTX to another address or you sold some on exchange. If you do so, coins are moved to change addresses in your wallet. This is normal behaviour in qt-wallets. Check your preferences about "coin control" and register the new address for AIRDROP as well. This will fix the problem and you'll get 5% again for all of your coins on next monday.

Airdrop arrived. Now i can count another 35+ pink coins in my wallet. Thanks to DEVs. You make a great job.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 13, 2017, 04:22:59 PM
I recognized, that v9.7 pushes the Hashrate quite a lot. On single mining ETH, hashrate is pushed from about 180 to 185 on a 1070 RIG, memclock set to +600, Core +25, Power 70%.
After a short period of time PC hangs. With reboot -1 option, PC starts again and continues mining.
I had to pull down Memclock to about +400 to get system stable when using v9.7.
So i went back to 9.6 to get no bad surprises. I think v 9.7 is still not stable for a longer run.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low Hashrate Mining Ethereum with GeForce GTX 1070 on MinerGate on: June 26, 2017, 02:09:51 AM
I am not sure if anyone else mines on MinerGate for Ethereum (or other altcoins as they support a lot of them!), but I have been beating my head against the wall all weekend trying to figure out why my hashrate is so low mining with a GeForce GTX 1070 Video Card.  I just started getting into trying to mine Ethereum with my new gaming rig.  I did a bunch of research on how to start mining Ethereum and I came across MinerGate as a pool that I could mine ETH on.  I thought that it was pretty cool that they had their own mining software as well to handle mining to my account for me.  So I downloaded and installed their MinerGate v.6.6 software as well as NVidia CUDA v.8.0.61 SDK (although it says that I cannot install Nsight because I do not have any compatible versions of Microsoft VisualStudio installed, which I am not sure if I need or not?).  I also installed GETH v.1.6.1 and Mist 0.8.10, although now I am not sure as if I even needed to install them unless I was planning to solo mine directly on the Ethereum blockchain instead of mining on a pool?

For reference, my gaming rig is running Windows 10 Pro, Version 1703, OS Build 15063.296 on an Intel Core i7-6700K 4.00GHz SkyLake CPU with 32GB Crucial Ballistix RAM and an ASUS STRIX ROG GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 Video Card.

In any event, once I got everything installed and setup on my computer, I ran MinerGate to see how well my setup would mine.  After disabling "Smart Mining" (which automatically starts mining whatever altcoin it feels you will have the best results with, which is annoying that it starts that by default...), I manually started mining Ethereum.  I figured it couldn't hurt to try to CPU mine at the same time that I GPU mine, so I enabled both to see what I could get out of my rig.  However, all I am able to get out of MinerGate is about 420-440kH/s from my CPU (running on all 8 threads - as it is a 4 core, 8 threaded processor) and 8.75-9.25MH/s from my GPU (running on Intensity 4)!  When I Googled what the estimated hashrate that my Video Card should be capable of mining Ethereum, it says that I should be averaging 25MH/s!!!  I also tried disabling CPU mining just in case that was bottlenecking my system, but at best I only got about a 0.25-0.50MH/s boost from GPU mining only with my computer.  So, why am I not able to mine on MinerGate at even 10MH/s when it says that my Video Card should be capable of mining at a much higher hashrate than that?  At this point it seems like I'd be better off trying to solo mine if GETH can give me double the hashrate that MinerGate can...

Any help in getting this figured out would be greatly appreciated.  I am very frustrated that I cannot figure out why I cannot get a decent hashrate out of this Video Card!

With only 1 GPU you should mine on a pool. Solomining and propriete software doesn't deliver good results. I recommend nanopool using Claymore 9.5 mining software. You can mine 2 coins parallel (i.e. SIA and ETC) and you should get at least 28-29 Mh/s on ETH and about 300 Mh/s on SIA. Download official SIA Wallet and make some extra money to compensate electricity. :-) without influencing Hashrate of ETH. I still have a Notebook with a GTX 1060 6GB. It delivers about 20 MH/s on ETH.
You should use MSI Afterburner to OC your GPU. Have a look to my settings https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1940360.msg19773784#msg19773784

Hi GTX 1070 miners,

here are my 5 cent concerning MH/s rates for my mining rigs.
I bought 12 ASUS GTX Strix OC 8GB and built 2 rigs. 10 Cards have Micron RAM, 2 have Samsung. In Asus forum many people were pissed of the Micron RAM because it obviously has worse specifications concerning overclocking than Samsung has.
I can state this. In spite of this issue i investigated optimal settings for overclocking to get a Hashrate of about 180 MH/s for each mining rig. What can i say: It worked for me - also with Micron RAM.
Here are my settings with MSI Afterburner (great tool).

Power Limit = 70%
Core Clock = +25%
Mem Clock = +650 (worked stable for all Micron Cards for more than 24h) For a couple of hours i pushed them up to +700. This also worked for a while but at the end this was too risky while sleeping. Won't get any BSOD result when i wake up in the morning.
Both rigs pull 1550 W out of the wall (Kill-A-Meter)

I do Dual Mining with Claymore 9.5 (ETH + SIA) on nanopool. The Micron GPUs deliver 29.7 to 30.1 Mhs

Screenshot:

On the other hand there are 2 GPU's with Samsung RAM in my second rig. The other 4 have Micron. Thanks to Afterburner you are able to OC each single GPU. The Microns are overclocked with the settings above. The 2 Samsung GPUs can be pushed up to +800 which leads into 9.216 Mhz. (Afterburner divides this by 2).

Screenshot:

I think these results are not that bad, compared to AMD 480's or 580's.
Happy mining

6  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum & Ledger Nano S on: May 25, 2017, 01:22:18 PM
Hi folks,

i bought a Ledger Nano S to store my BTC on a hardware wallet. I think i'm a little bit more safe than on cloud based wallets.
The Ledger Nano S has to be administrated by a google app. I don't like this concerning privacy because nobody really knows what kind of infos google gets.

In Ledger Nano S i created 5 Accounts for different income streams - keep things transparent.
When trying to connect Ledger Nano S to Electrum, only 1 Account is visible.
Is there any possibility to import more than 1 account from ledger?

Thanks for help.
Bodyworks.

I believe you can do multiple accounts from the ledger by specifying the BIP44 account number as shown

First create a new wallet and select "Use hardware device"

Then enter the index of the wallet on the ledger you wish to use

You'll want to increment this number by 1 to access each next wallet on the device during the wallet creation phase.

Choosing 0 to 4 made the trick. You then have 5 instances of electrum. Each address is a separate wallet.
7  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / GPU Mining von Altcoins (ETH) on: May 25, 2017, 02:05:34 AM

Out of the wall rechne ich bei optimaler Config mit 800 W pro Rig.

Die Hardware sieht wie folgt aus:

12x MSI Radeon RX 580 ARMOR 8G OC
2x ASRock H81 PRO BTC R2.0
2x Intel Celeron G1840 2,8 GHz (Haswell) Sockel 1150
12x YIKESHU PCIe PCI-E 16x 8x 4x 1x Powered Riser Adapter Card w/ 60cm USB 3.0 Extension (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B072BJ3GCG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
2x PSU Corsair AX1200 i Platinum
2x Corsair Vengeance LP Series Black DDR3-1600, 4GB
2x Patriot Spark 2,5 Zoll SSD, SATA 6G - 128 GB
2x Desktop Power Switch https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00LVREYWG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

 https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/eth?HashingPower=360&HashingUnit=MH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=1600&CostPerkWh=0.17

Sämtliche Komponenten werden in ca. 2-3 Wochen eintreffen.
Stay tuned - to be continued.

Falls jemand von Euch das Corsair AX1200i Platinum in Verwendung haben sollte, wäre ich dankbar für einen Hinweis zum Standard Kabelsatz der mitgeliefert wird. Ich würde gerne wissen, ob ich out of the box alle Komponenten anschließen kann.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / New Miner on bord on: May 25, 2017, 01:01:25 AM
Hi Folks,

i'm still a newbie in mining and i read a lot in this forum. First of all thanks a lot for such an amount of knowledge that can be consumed here.
I already have a 100 Th/s contract on mining BTC at genesis mining but now i want to do it on my own.
The RX 480's seem be one of the best GPU's but it also seems to be out of stock all over the world - especially in germany there is no chance to get one.
So i decided to buy 12 MSI RX 580 8GB Armor OC to built 2 Rigs for ETH-mining and Dual mining.

I'm very excited to enter into a new era of this business.

My setup will be (parts are ordered and will arrive in about 2-3 weeks)

12x Radeon RX 580 ARMOR 8G OC
2x ASRock H81 PRO BTC R2.0
2x Intel Celeron G1840 2,8 GHz (Haswell) Sockel 1150
12x YIKESHU PCIe PCI-E 16x 8x 4x 1x Powered Riser Adapter Card w/ 60cm USB 3.0 Extension (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B072BJ3GCG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
2x PSU Corsair AX1200 i Platinum
2x Corsair Vengeance LP Series Black DDR3-1600, 4GB
2x Patriot Spark 2,5 Zoll SSD, SATA 6G - 128 GB
2x Desktop Power Switch https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00LVREYWG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks to this forum I think i'm prepared very well to get the cards modded to enter into a hashrate of about 29 or 30 mH/s. Thanx to Cryptoyeti http://cryptoyeti.com/msi-rx580-armor-8g-review-and-bios-mod-guide/ for his brief explanation getting 30+ mH/s out of his cards.

But there is one question left concerning the PSU. Does anybody have the Corsair AX1200i Platinum and are there enough cables included to connect all components?

Thanks for your comments.

Happy mining, Bodyworks
