try reinstall win10 using any amdgpu as video out from beginning.

Just tried it. Plugged in a single GPU and use that as video output, there's no image on my screen if I enable Windows 10 mode in bios. If I disable windows 10 whql support in bios, it works fine but I can't boot into a windows install or windows itself. If I plug the monitor directly into the onboard hdmi, then everything works fine.

I disabled fast boot and it seems to be working!! I get proper video output from one gpu shown on my monitor with 7 gpus hooked up. However now Device Manager only shows 5 GPUs instead of 7.

Bios settings same as before. All Gen 1 with 4G Enabled

I am having an issue with this board and it's driving me nuts.

I'm using a G3900 skylake. If I enable Windows 10 mode and leave my GPU's plugged in, the screen stays dark and won't boot.

I have to unplug all my gpu's and plug my monitor into the onboard hdmi to get any image.

If I disable Windows 10 mode I am able to see the screen turn on and get into bios, but it won't boot into the windows installer.

I'm currently installing Windows 10 in GPT mode with all the GPUs unplugged and using the onboard graphics to my monitor.

I have bios set exactly as everyone else here: PEG 1 and 2 to Gen 1 and 4G Enabled

Can someone write an exact step by step on how to set up this board with 7 gpu?

No matter what I do if I connect the 7 gpus I don't get any kind of image on my monitor through HDMI connected to any of the 7 cards.

Love your setup!

It looks like it's safe to power a 6+2 pin PCIE off the CPU2 connector on the PSU?

I just built a 7 GPU frankenrig but the standard PCIE cables from the EVGA 1300W don't fit in the CPU2 slot. They have a notched end on one of the 12v connectors the prevent you from plugging into the CPU2. Thankfully one of my GPU's is a 470 so I'm just using the a 6 pin PCIE branch to power it.

Building a second 7 GPU rig now and I really like your setup.

Where can I buy a PCIE cable that will fit in the CPU2 slot? Assuming the CPU2 slot can be used to power a 6+2 PCIE.

Hey guys any updates on anyone else using the Z170A Gaming M5 board with a skylake G4400 cpu and 7 GPUs? Is it definitely confirmed to work?

I just ordered the M5, a G4400, 1200w evga platinum psu and 7 rx480's. Fingers crossed everything works
