I've tried NastyHosts and IPHub both, they catch maybe 60% proxy / VPN ips. Getipintel caught all but 1 IP from my testing. W I T C H with MSS values is also accurate for just VPNs only. If you really care to block VPN / proxy traffic maybe test your data first against each service and see which one works best for you.
If you want to block VPNs, 3rd party APIs are probably the best for your needs because VPN detection isn't easy to do. Try getipintel and using MSS values ( W I T C H ) to detect VPNs.
There's been some articles that $1 billion dollars have been going into cryptocoins per day. So it doesn't really matter which coins you bought, it's going up. Ripple is a good investment because it's the 3rd largest market cap and when there's huge buys like this, ripple prices increase faster than ETH.
Just look at BCU vs BCC coins on bitfinex, that'll tell you which coin is "winning." The most important concern I have is BU developers don't have the expertise to run a 4 billion dollar network. Just imagine these node crashes happening on BTC, no one would take BTC seriously.
