5  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining with SLI on: December 13, 2013, 12:06:34 AM
You shouldn't need the SLI connector.
One instance of cgminer is enough.
Not sure about guiminer.

FTC has been pumped, now it's being dumped on exchanges.

Over the past 3 hours I've been mining here and I'm getting 24.142% efficiency.

I'm outta here.  Back to LTC.

Ugh. All these altcoins are making me dizzy.

Thought this one might have had some legs, but seems scammish... aaaaaaaand I'm out.  Back to LTC mining for me!
11  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [1 BTC BOUNTY] Get 6 radeon 7970 installing and mining in Windows 7 x64 on: May 03, 2013, 12:35:54 AM
I've had a similar problem with my four 7950's, and it was because one video card wasn't getting enough power from molex (it was being split too many times).  Do you have a sufficient PSU?  Are some of your risers powered?
12  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: High Density Milk Crate Rig - 6 GHash on: April 25, 2013, 06:30:19 PM
what kind of setup and connections are you using with what looks like 4 PSUs, 2 rigs with one mobo each, and what looks like 6 GPUs on one rig, 4 on the other?

Do you have something like 2 PSUs per rig/mobo, with one PSU on each powering ~3 cards and the other PSU powering the other cards and everything else, or something like that?

Is there any trick to that kind of setup, or is it just as simple as flipping the switch on both PSUs to turn it on?

I'm very interested in answers to these questions, as well.

Nothing beats the sapphire 4Ls. Amazing cards.

+1

I have 7950s running stable at 670 mh/s (currently scrypt though). They are the new sapphire 7950s that newegg had a special on. i have 4 per rig running at this rate stable. I'll share the settings when i get home.

Are you home yet?
15  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 3 x 7970s - CGminer tweak advice on: April 22, 2013, 01:38:50 AM
Thought I should do my due dilligence and post on this...
I *had* 3 XFX 7970 GHz Edition 1050/1500 Double Disappointment cards (I've RMA'd them back to the depths of hell whence they came, and got 4 x 7950's instead...).
I couldn't get them to mine LTC above 550KH/s. Ever. I tried everything.
For BTC, however, after lurking in these forums for a while, and tweaking/overclocking, I found the following to give me 675-700MH/s per card.  Here was the .bat file I kept in my cgminer folder, and then shortcut to desktop/startup:

Quote
color 02
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://MINING_POOL_URL:3333 -u WORKERNAME -p WORKERPW --shaders 2048 --intensity 13 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 600 --worksize 256 -g 1

-g 1 is for 1 card... change this to however many cards you have.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / DIY open-concept case ideas? on: April 15, 2013, 07:13:32 PM
I've got 3x 7970's and one of them was running at 96C!
I ordered 3 PCI-e 16x molex-powered risers from cablesaurus (didnt' want to risk it with dealextreme) and I figure I'll take it out of the HAF-X case and put it in some sort of DIY rig/rack.  Are there any good plans for this sort of thing?  ANy help would be much appreciated.

Mine BTC using a sick GPU rig fornow, then when ASICS come out move the GPU rig over to LTC.  </thread>
