1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 17, 2017, 03:48:50 PM
If you have traded on Waves DEX, have you encountered this: There is a sell order for WAVES for BTC at 0.0020000 (just an example). I put a buy order for this price, but instead of getting filled immediately, the sell order went away and now my order shows up in the Buy orders list. It happened to me at least a few times. Makes we wonder whether those sell orders were fake computerized orders to make the spread smaller than it would have been.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Quick. Name your top 3 coins that will be x100 in a year on: June 17, 2017, 03:41:24 PM
2 to 5X is more likely for some of the alt-coins suggested here. For any coin to go another 100x, you will need to find a new ICO/crowdsale coin, or a coin that's currently less than 2 million USD in market cap.

WAVES - already up 5x so far ($1 to $5.2), could end up $10 to $15 EOY 2017.
LTC - being pumped right now, could see $60 to $80 EOY 2017.
ZEN - $8 now, if the devs deliver, I think it could at least triple in value.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Litecoin on: June 15, 2017, 10:25:06 PM
I like Litecoin, but I think LTC has a perception issue. To the tech crowd, it is just a clone of Bitcoin with just faster confirmation speed and lower fee. To the trading crowd, BTC or other easily pump-and-dump coins will be their first choice. To the first time investors, BTC will also be their first choice.

Ether has shot up so much in the last 3 months mainly due to a bunch of ICOs creating demands for ETH.

For now, I will accumulate at below $25 (seems like there is now a mini-correction every week or so), and hopefully it will break the $30-$35 wall soon.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feathercoin is on Vircurex!!! Just Noticed on: May 02, 2013, 04:59:34 AM
Vircurex FTC/LTC  trading is working fine!

How do you trade FTC/LTC on Vircurex? I was able to see the FTC/LTC bid/ask before login. But once login, I see only BTC/FTC in the 'Order' page, no way to change it to FTC/LTC.

Update: Duh, need to go into Settings->Layout to make some changes. Now works.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PPC - Minting suspended due to locked wallet on: April 23, 2013, 10:43:24 PM
Does one need to run the app ppcoin-qt.exe all the time in order to mint PPC (Proof of stake) coins?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GIVEAWAY] DividendRippler.com Beta Testing on: April 21, 2013, 10:07:49 PM
TTBit, am I right to assume that if I want to add more LTC/BTC/TRC to my ripple account, I would send those coins to the LTC/BTC/TRC Issue Addresses listed on my DR ripple account?

And if I want to move LTC/BTC/TRC out of my ripple account, I would goto my Ripple client, click 'Send', Recipient will be rfYv1TXnwgDDK4WQNbFALykYuEBnrR4pDX?dt=<My DR Account #> and select either LTC/BTC/TRC and the DR gateway will in turn forward the coin to my wallet, based on my programmed LTC/BTC/TRC addresses?

Exactly!

To issue ious in a specific ripple address, you send the actual coins (I say 'specie') to the addresses generated by DR.

The redemption addresses are user created, and will destroy the IOU and send back the specie to user's client.

Cool. One more thing. Can I use IOUs created by DR and trade it somewhere else? e.g. I send 1 BTC to my ripple account via DR. Then I want to create a trade at bitstamp to sell the 1 BTC for XXXX XRP? My guess is not possible, unless bitstamp is willing to accept DR IOUs. Correct?

Agree that 7950 is the best choice now, as you can get it at around $280 after rebate, and may be able to sell the free bundled games for around $40 which bring the cost down even further.

what is better to mine or to buy?

For BTC, probably better to buy now instead of mine, unless you have spare PC/GPU and free electricity available.

For LTC, may still be profitable for a few more months to mine.

Something is wrong with the pool. If the pool hashrate is 37000gh/s, how come there's no block solved within the last hour?

I have this card, so far I can mine Bitcoin at 530mh/s with the card overclocked to 1000mhz. Others are able to mine at 550mh/s, with more tweaks and overclocking.

Like Vigil said, it may not be worthwhile at this point, as you could only get 0.03 bitcoin per day. If Bitcoin's price crash to below $50 then you will most likely lose money.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is possible two cards Nvdia/ati in same computer on: April 14, 2013, 05:14:27 PM
Wouldn't Windows complain about conflicting drivers between Nvidia and AMD? You may have to do a lot of tweaking just to make them coexist peacefully in the same machine.
