2  Other / Off-topic / Tracking a cell phone without installing App on: October 10, 2018, 07:07:02 PM
Do any cyphers or hackers out there know the best method of obtaining coordinates or relative location of a cell phone without installing software on the target phone?

The phone i'm looking for is not an iPhone.
Any help or advice is appreciated.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Investing in Bitcoin.. or mining bitcoin? on: December 05, 2017, 11:17:00 PM
I do consider this a general discussion but if it needs to be moved, I apologize.

I was previously an alt coin miner for majority of the year. I had a decent sized operation yielding close to around 7-9 z-cash monthly. I sold my equipment merely because of electricity and truly believed with the right money in the right place, I could do fairly well in terms of gains..and I have so far. Nothing wild but, extremely fair.

Now my question is this, seeing this continuing rising bitcoin price.. exponentially rising btc price, ha. Would you consider it to be more or equally profitable to spend say, 10-15k on BTC mining equipment like A6 avalons or S7's and with a completely proper setup.. OR, research and diversify a strong portfolio with said 10-15k mentioned above.

WHERE do you all consider the gains are.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Future Mine-ability for our beloved PoW coins. on: August 28, 2017, 02:41:07 PM
What's up team.

I was curious everyones thoughts on WHEN they can imagine ZEC/ZEN/Monero/Hush etc; to become extremely low in profitability. I'm well aware there are numbers and forecasts that have been made, highlighting how fast different networks are growing/slowing down- based on real time data..But I'm asking from an opinionated stand point seeing that the unpredictability and volatility in this space is... different.

For background --I use to mine ETH early this year, but w/ external factors like all of us, and my particular setup, equihash was the way to go for me, through dedicated Zec mining..
The electricity bill for adding what I run is close to 355$ monthly. (Spare me any criticism on that ha i've done extremely meticulous work with investing block rewards ha)
Considering electrical, and with the returns i'm making i'm more than pleased.. but really trying to get a stronger idea of when shop may have to close down.

Thoughts?

6  Economy / Computer hardware / (WTS) 6 x GTX 1060 Zcash/Monero/Eth Rig on: August 28, 2017, 02:09:05 PM
Hi all, with my conversion earlier this year to a dedicated 1080ti farm..here we are

Seeing as mining is still very profitable in more ways than just one I'd like to share this with anyone interested..

This was my genesis rig ha, and it's been doing quite well for me..

In real time, I'm currently mining $10~ a day with this rig alone, based on a ZEC value within it's sweet spot of $230-270..

GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GPU's
Asrock Z97 Extreme 4 motherboard
Parallel Mining open air - aluminum frame
Hyperx Fury Ram 8GB
Intel Celeron CPU
EVGA 1000 GQ PSU
--Currently running Full Zero's nvOC 0017'-- A Linux based multi-algorithm mining software

I've been mining Zcash with it for about two months now, consistently mining at 2000 sols/s .. This has been my most stable and consistent rig. Serious inquiries only please.

Pictures and real time mining statistics absolutely available upon request.

Whichever software the customer would like me to image for the rig, I can have done.

Asking price is $2,000 OBO, this rig can be shipped 100% or partially disassembled at the buyers request. I note this because some people are fond of how Deg Connect mails their products, being virtually plug and play. I don't recommend this, however.. You'll receive the rig how you prefer.

Any questions, comments, concerns.. DM me or fire away right here.
Thanks guys

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Gigabyte 1070 acting up.. on: July 18, 2017, 07:17:13 PM
Hey fellow miners,

I have a gigabyte 1070 8gb gaming edition that seems to be the root of some of my recent issues.

I have a homemade 10 card frame, housed around 2 motherboards. Currently I have 2 x Ti's and 3 x 1070's (2 evga 1 asus) on the first motherboard. And 4 x ti's and 1 x 1070 (gigabyte) on the other motherboard.

After about 45 minutes, I get "Gpu0, 1, 2,3,4 seem to be stuck...Restart attempt"..
and the miner reboots sometime successful -sometimes not.

Running ewbf zcash miner 3_4 on both rigs, through hours of trouble shooting i've realized the 1070 itself was the issue.. not a riser.

Moving the 1070 to the motherboard from the riser only delayed the error message from 45 minutes to about every 5-6 hours..

Taking the 1070 off completely and replacing it with a TI I'm using on another build solved the issue..
It doesn't amount to significant downtime at all, but I want to solve the problem still- as it effects my daily and hourly hashrate.

But my question remains, why the hell is this card consistently restarting my miner.. is it a setting I need to tweak? Any advice on troubleshooting this helps.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / zencash on: July 11, 2017, 03:59:57 PM
being #1 on whattoomine, leading the equihash family..how do you guys feel about zencash?

Did some research on it, sounds and looks good as far as platform applicability and stability.. still learning more though.

I'd like to mine it- but my wallets don't have zen holding yet, I know setting something up isn't too tough but what're your recommendations?

Edit: Are people using bittrex to hold their zen or something else?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Zcash miner crashing? (Solved) on: July 06, 2017, 07:50:36 PM
Running ewbf Zcash miner 3_4b
Two different motherboards same software, getting the same error message..
They ran for 2 days no issues, today both started acting up..

"Looks like GPU0 is stuck"
"Retempt to restart.."

Then it just gives 0w power draw across the board, on both rigs. And continues to run the software w/o mining.
Power limits set so I know it's not a power issue..
but whenever I restart the miner it mines for about 30-hour then goes down again.

Any suggestions mates

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ETH Gas Limit Increase on: July 01, 2017, 05:11:21 PM

As of recently my payouts in the past week and a half went from 3 days lead time, to every other day.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / altcoin mining/blockchain tech. used a resume boost? on: July 01, 2017, 04:24:05 PM
So i'm pretty certain that this hasn't been discussed on the forum at all so I figured i'd see what people think about it..

Some of us are full time miners, some aren't. Some use it as secondary income, some as primary.. with the evolving tech., mining, and utilizing block chain, it's relatively new.
While much of it has been picking up more traction throughout this year in the mainstream..

My question is this, even without creating a business, LLC, or some legitimate form of business, how does the community feel about miners using their experience on a resume?..

I know we come from all different walks of life and vary in age, predominately (21-30) based on the poll here..

I ask this because
1. I've heard no talk of anyone considering the idea..
2. even without creating a business, an LLC, whatever.. Extremely profitable feats are to be made and I would imagine it would be admired/recognized by particular employers. As a college grad myself I only imagine that if someone running a ground up operation, pulling serious numbers, would WANT to use that experience on a resume regardless if it's 'self employed' or a 'hobby'..
3. Creating a mining operation A-Z, isn't something you just learn how to do over night. That knowledge is power.

Has anyone put any thought into this? Extremely curious not just for my own behalf but for miners out there that pushed all their chips in, and are reaping huge rewards. And that want to use that experience to positively effect their life moving forward.

Any ideas, thoughts, or responses are much appreciated. Thanks
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Difficulty Statistics on: June 28, 2017, 02:40:31 PM
Fellow miners,

if you would be interested in sharing your collective hash rate along w/ specified coin, I was hoping to maybe get a stronger gauge on the growing difficulty over time with the different coins everyone is mining..

A lot of talk in the recent weeks about declining ROI and growing difficulty but I have yet to see the effects on my mining rate..

Currently using Dwarfpool:
I'm operating at ~550mh/s directed all towards ETH.
24 hour return; consistently around .23-.24
USD 24 Hour return: ~60.00
Receiving .5 payouts every ~4 days

will update weekly for the next month.
Any and all shares of difficulty/mining rate statistics greatly appreciated
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Simple rig setup question.. on: June 24, 2017, 05:55:41 AM
I've got quite a few setups right now and I'm assuming this isn't a problem at all, but i need some official input...

however,, during testing power limits with a rig setup a while ago I fried a motherboard (IMO it was the PSU, weak psu)).. i started to migrate cards from the mobo to risers. I was testing two rx580's (directly plugged in) and had one rx580 on the riser..

Temp went through the roof. Fans hit 90%. Fried the motherboard. Everything's back up and running now with a new motherboard.. but I'm about to do 2 x 1070's on risers with 2x 1080ti's directly in the motherboard. (Until new risers arrive)

Is it okay to use risers and directly plug in cards?...

Im guessing it won't be a problem.. but since I fried a previous board  I just want to get some clarification lol, thank guys
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Motherboard Question.. on: May 27, 2017, 09:31:43 PM
Based on my understanding correct me if I'm wrong.. I believe this card will support 6 GPU's..appears to have enough pci-e slots..

https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16813157503

Can anyone give me some feedback on what they think about using this board?
