Anybody doing some FPGA mining? I'm looking at the superscalar k10 and osprey e300 and the hashrates/wattage are looking too good to be true, especially when they can do multiple algorithms thus being way less risky from a difficulty ramping up/coin worth dropping standpoint. Does anyone have any experience with these machines, maybe some downsides they're willing to share like poor silicone or something?

Any help regarding my reference 5700 XT would be appreciated.
It started developing huge temperatures on the memories a few days ago. I took it to an IT solutions guy to clean it up/apply new paste and pads(I'm really bad with that stuff), I think he did a good job, gpu temp and hotspot temps are way lower, but the memories are still flaring up(although less than they used to). Hashrate is fine, as in it doesn't get hot enough to throttle performance like it did before I had it cleaned.



I'm using custom timings to hash at 55 mh

-mclock 1780
fans stable at 65%

I tried lowering mclock but didn't seem to affect temps. I don't wanna raise fan power because the rig is in my house and the blower makes too much noise.
Any ideas would be appreciated. I tried looking into aftermarket coolers but they all seem to be out of stock globally. Even then I'm not sure how much they would affect memory temps.

The hashrate is horrible, getting 25 mh/s on ethash.
I have been looking around the internet for eth bios for this card, but I can't find any for this particular model. I am wondering if someone has an eth mining bios mod to flash it with, or if bios mods made for any other card will work with it. Would appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

Hello,I'm facing difficulties mining with my rig.
Once I start mining,everything will go smooth,for an hour or so,sometimes longer or shorter,it's really random,then bam,black screen and hard reset.
GPU:1x7950(gigabyte) 1x-7870xt(sapphire) both relatively new(Running at 19 intensity,24000 thread concurrency at 77/69 degrees.)
PSU:Corsair TX850W v1,new as well.
CPU:Intel i5-2500
RAM:8gb DDR3 ram.
Mobo:Gigabyte GA-P67-DS3-B3
I've tried everything these past days,from removing and reconnecting every cable,to switching the cards to another PCI-E port.

What I ask of you is,can you pinpoint the piece of hardware that is causing the problem?
Please note that the rig used to work normally 2 weeks ago.

At this point I'm considering buying a new motherboard,is there any chance that it's the one malfunctioning?

Hello,first of all,excuse me if I'm on the wrong section,it's the only one I can post at.

Now then,I have to admit,I'm pretty new at the bitcoin market,so pardon me if I do anything wrong.

I've been trying to figure out a way to buy btc/ltc using BTC-E/MT.GOX,and the only way I've figured out is bank wire.

The problem is,in my country,this is rather expensive (the minimum fee is 30 euros/40 dollars to be precise) but alas,all I wanted to do was make a small investment(about 50 bucks)

Is there any other way(preferably using my CC in a site like Paypal/Moneybookers)that I can buy BTC/LTC?

I know I can post in the marketplace section,and this is what I intend to do once I get my 5 posts/hours,but is there any other way?
