1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN]❁ KORECoin Swap to KORE 1:1, New Wallet Release and Rebranding: ❁ on: September 30, 2017, 04:56:11 AM

Announcing Swap from KoreCoin to Kore 1:1, New Wallet Release and Rebranding:

On the 14th of October 2017 we will be perform a blockchain transfer from the old Korecoin blockchain and start a new one,
along with a rebranding and a new development team leading us in a new and exciting direction.
Your existing Kore coins will be mapped 1:1 on the new chain and the transition will be smooth and painless.
Note: Bittrex will be closing our KORE wallet and stop trading the token to take accurate snapshots of balances.
If any KORE you had sent to Bittrex are not settled (e.g. marked as pending)
by 6:00 PM PT, on 10/13/2017 (1:00 AM on 10/14/2017 UTC), you may not be credited with KORE
https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001898671-Support-for-the-KoreCoin-KORE-blockchain-upgrade

KoreCoin Was initially introduced in June 2014 , with the following specifications :-

* Algorithm: X13
* PoW Coins: 1.2 Million
* PoW Block Reward: 450 KORE
* Block 3200 – 4000 = 1000 KORE
* PoW Timefram: 4000 Blocks
* Block Time: 60 Seconds
* PoS Minimum Age: 1 hours
* PoS Max age: 8 Hours
* PoS Interest: 10%
* Total Coins: 12 Million

KORECoin was a coin taken over, the Dev integrated Tor as well as SIP/PBX for in wallet VoIP calling to eventually include Video.
It is a Project central to privacy. The old Dev left the project. MikeMike took KORECoin over, built the KORE Team, renewed that Team,
integrated his ideas and main funder of the KORE Team Projects.

Current KORE supply is roughly 2 M coins, these will be moved to the new chain and will be accessible to their owners
within the very first block, more on this below.

Reasoning for the Swap

1) The current code base it very old , so much so that attempting to update it would probably cause more problems than it fixes.
2) We wish to take advantage of new innovations introduced into the crypto space over the past 3 years
3) As we have a new dev team and the chain has had many developers, it is ideal to introduce a new chain providing a clean slate
for the development team to work with. The updated software and new chain would are key steps in the new direction Kore is taking.
4) Introduction of key features such as CLTV and CSV , as well as adequate scaling plans
5)  at the bottom of this page.

The New Kore Specifications :-

* Algorithm: sha256d Bitcoin Core v0.12.2.0-gec0afbd (64-bit) * but could change at the release.
* PoS Algorithm  PoSv3  *Modified for Security and Functionality, See “Understanding KORE PoS”
* PoW Coins: ~ 20 000   * but could change at the release.
* PoW Block Reward: 5 KORE
* Block 4000-infinity = 0 KORE   * but could change at the release.
* Block Time: 120 Seconds
* PoS Minimum Age: 8 hours
* PoS Interest: 15% - 30% *To be determined
* Total Coins: 12 Million

The first wallet release is going to introduce Masternodes to the Kore community.
It will be made available in both Linux and Windows.
* Mac will be made available in 7-10 business days from the Swap.
It will be made available in both Linux and Windows.

The first release will also include the Bittrex trading window for KORE and eventually most all pairs, the Block Explorer,
KORE to USD conversion in send, Mining CPU Core selector slider, Opacity, BTC/USD and KORE/USD tickers.
The Tor Web Browser, SIP/PBX VoIP will be released in subsequent versions in fairly short order.
To entice developers, other skilled professionals and try to offset costs a maintenance fund has been created
that is allocated 10% *To be determined.

Pure Tor Masternodes/Servicenodes a World First:
Tor Masternodes are currently in testing and will provide services to users.
Tor was chosen to increase privacy of users as it obscures your IP enabling use of services without fear for privacy.

Obfuscating your coins from being tracked by a unique mixing feature by traditional Masternodes:
Masternodes use this function to automatically break up private transactions into indistinguishable  multiple identical transactions,
this adds complexity to the original transaction and obfuscates the proof of any particular amount and hides the IP
of those who mix the coins with you through their Masternodes.

The KORE Roadmap:
Will be posted at the time of release of the new wallet on October 14th 2017.

Understanding KORE PoS:

Kore uses customized proof of stake. Using percentages rather than a static amount it ensures all users are treated fairly
for their contribution to the overall health of the network.

* X % stake per transaction  X*To be determined
* 100 blocks to confirm
* 8 hour maturity
* 50 Kore minimum stake

Minimum Stake amount Percentages are used as they better reflect and reward users accordingly, this prevents other users from gaming
and devaluing the currency by simply creating dozens of small transactions and creating hyper inflation. The 100 block wait time
ensures adequate confirms pass before coins are mature to ensure a higher degree of certainty. An additional 8 hour wait period is added
as a means of controlling stake rates and supply growth. A minimum stake amount is imposed as part of the measures to prevent micro-staking,
micro stakes quickly bloat blockchains eventually causing problems when chains have millions of blocks but are less than a GB in size.
X% of this is allocated to MN owners as a subsidy for their vital job of assisting in obscuring transactions and facilitating Instant transactions.
With time the role of Masternodes will expand as part of the development roadmap includes assigning them additional duties on the chain.

This post will be updated with any changes.
Thank you for your interest and patience during these exciting times.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN]❁ KORE Tor Masternodes, Browser, VoIP, Aether OS, KOREPhone, KOREbay Funded on: August 17, 2017, 07:19:17 AM
KORE version 13 was released on 5-16-2019:

This wallet release is significant because it forked to our very own KOREPoS on block #483063, which was minted earlier that day.
The private and public testnet of v0.13 QT and React wallets will continue for optimization work, GUI changes,
additional Tor Browser and 2FA tech testing and other modifications.
Visit the KORE Discord support thread to get involved:

KORE - MISSION STATEMENT:

The KORE goal is to provide an entire ecosystem that facilitates Your Privacy and Security.
KORE, and supporting projects, promotes anonymity for financial transactions, phone calls, web surfing,
a cross platform operating system for the KOREPhone and web purchases from a secure in-wallet custom marketplace.
The Development team, also Bitcoin Maximalists, have a dedicated interest in the success
and propagation of all KORE projects. Anyone setting up a Masternode
will be rewarded and will be tasked with their own pursuit
of excellence in the upkeep of the Masternodes under their supervision.

KORE - TOR WALLET and TOR MASTERNODES:

KORE is NOT an ICO.
Kore and Projects goal is to enable you to gain back your Privacy and Security,
without needing to be a tech genius. The Projects will as a by product Bring Good Things for Peoples and the Planet.
Kore is the World's First to integrate Tor into the wallet itself. PoW and PoS permitting staking and transactions to be run
through the TOR Network. They are encrypted and your IP will not be shown nor will people know you are mining KORE
or sending transactions from your IP address providing you true anonymity.

This is an example of an IP Address that designates your computers Internet traffic originates from your computer.
154.16.7.50:51472
Your IP and every website you visit, wallet you use, Masternode you run gets stored in the NSA MetaData
and in some countries is sold to whomever is willing to pay for it:

This is an example of what your KORE wallet or KORE Masternode connection looks like:
ua3np4ut2zxubqow.onion

Soon with OBFS4, made easy.
This allows you to bypass the great Chinese and other Firewalls that steal your freedom to access the World Wide Web!

Here are some main KORE Projects:

"A BETTER WAY"

Our first objective is to create a PoS that meets the known issues with PoS and be released in the fork.
Then to forge our own path in true anonymity.

AN OS ALTERNATIVE to, "DUCT TAPE and BAILING WIRE"

The Æther Kripton OS is a uniquely secure operating system with no back doors nor Malware and most importantly it's New.
This means it's highly efficient and easy to use without the "Duct Tape and Bailing Wire" approach that's needed due to current
plugging of holes from: monitoring your activity, inclusion of Malware and back doors. Originally designed specifically
for the KorePhone, the Æther OS will eventually be Cross Platform meaning whatever apps are written for it can be
easily transported to your Pad, Desktop, Laptop, Future Watch or most any device. Your entire Æther OS can be migrated
wherever you need to use it.  Æther OS will come with a fully featured SDK to allow developers to build applications
and processes useful for the community. It's our goal to eventually fully open source all of the code.
It will be released incrementally over time.

FREEDOM of COMMUNICATIONS:

In a future release we will provide you with a text message and VoIP.
To eventually a include Video communications service that you can make secure Video calls between any KORE Wallet.
Then eventually a Gateway Service to call standard phone numbers.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / ANN XQN QUOTIENT 2.0 Smart Contracts Assets Coins Creation CF Exchange Go Green* on: January 27, 2017, 07:55:10 AM
Welcome
 Smiley
We have Officially taken over XQN, it can be traded on Yobit.
Check back as this OP will be updated frequently.

UPDATE:
Living up to one one of the XQN goals is being centered around a "Financial Network" with
integration of Assets, Coins Creation, Smart Contracts and Crowd Funds coupled with
a client and web wallet is what to expect in the future release
UPDATE: Join us in our Slack like chat!
https://discord.gg/y8nzzju

The icing on the cake would be the ability to "Network" with other like minded coins and services in a further version.
Till these versions are released we will be updating the existing wallet with a new look and possibly some other changes.

UPDATE: #1 We are trying to get a multi Faucet hooked up and in the OP page.
UPDATE #2 Living up to one one of the XQN goals is being centered around a "Financial Network" with
integration of Assets, Coins Creation, Smart Contracts and Crowd Funds coupled with
a client and web wallet is what to expect in the future release.
UPDATE #3 The icing on the cake would be the ability to "Network" with other like minded coins and services in a further version.
UPDATE #4 While reducing sell pressure, to all that include XQN in their Asset I offer a direct OTC service to BTC or a coin of your choice.
UPDATE #5 Join us in our Slack like chat!
https://discord.gg/y8nzzju

We have 3 newly created Social Media accounts, a new self hosted Block Explorer with integration of Yobit Exchange
and links to 2 exchanges where to trade XQN,... Yobit is the present main one and soon a link to the XQN Word Press Page.
All of which will be in this new OP page. A link to this OP will also be included in the Explorer.
We also have a new Linux build of the wallet and an updated Windows wallet to be released.
The Android wallet is being looked into. We will also be rebuilding the XQNPoSFUND and
the new XQN Team will be leading the funding of the Fund and the Development Bounties.

What is not completed yet is finalizing the roadmap. The beginnings of it are mentioned here,
will be added to and organized this week. We did not want to move to the new OP page
till all our plans were solidified, whether or not XQN will be merging with another coin and I had a good idea
when a major tech implementation of an exchange into XQN could be more concrete but it was
not healthy for the project and Community to leave it on the old thread.
We might just leave a few large items out of the roadmap for now.
This OP page is near complete and will be updated when required.
IF you have any services, ideas or questions to offer please PM me.

Below is an example from the old Staking site showing the 24hr. period high payout compared to Diamond:

Specifications:
1,618,033 coins (proof-of-work)
Very High % PoS interest rate
16.18  stake reward
61 second block spacing
161 blocks to maturity
Min Coin Age 16 hours

We will be getting XQN listed on two other main exchanges.
Yobit is functioning well and the main Exchange for now.
They have more than twice the volume of Bittrex, XQN will do well there and
suggest getting active there including their chat.
Smart Money of the main anchor coins from a certain exchange moved to Yobit
and could be the typical handwriting on the wall we are familiar with.

Has anyone else mining through their Verizon jetpack Hotspot that noticed recent change in how they bill for data usage?

I am being logged for data now going to "gaming" and the only thing I can figure is they
changed the way they log data usage and the mining is showing up more.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What real world use feature you want to see in a wallet? ____________? on: September 27, 2015, 06:12:02 AM

Lets face it there are  loads of s*$t coins that had some good tech or never implemented the tech.
At the end of the day after you switched from coin to coin hoping the next one would
actually be the one that came through only to be disappointed again.
So heck with the slew of coins promising this or that.

What is it?
What are the top 5 most important features you'd like to see in a solid coin?

I'm asking this to eventually create a poll.

6  Bitcoin / Mining support / How to Mine Antminers Through a Laptop wireless USB stick??? on: July 05, 2015, 05:17:54 AM
Hiya,

I have an ancient XP Pro laptop connected to the internet via a Wireless USB stick.
It has a 10/100 port.
Could Bitmain miners be hooked to a Network switch and the switch hooked to the 10/100 port
on the laptop and connect to the internet via the wireless USB stick.

I have an old cable router with a USB port and don't know if that could come in handy.
Be awesome to get these miners up and running.

There's gotta be some way this could be accomplished....

EDIT:
I  know on W8.1 you can go in and change the network address.
I remember once on an 8.1 getting a single antminer to run through the 10/100 and wireless.

I got the 10/100 to show: 192.168.0.8
But the antminers are 192.168.1.99 to set them up.
However this is XP Pro and have not found a way to change the IP address of the 10/100 network.
Is this an XPissue?
could this be done on W8.1 Pro?

Much thanks!

Viorcoin is in the midst of a takeover. The Team is being assembled carefully and collaborations in Slack,
Mumble and here on BCT are underway considering options in order to ensure it's success.
The KORE Team will guide this project including implementation and direction.

The Kore Team and I have offered some assistance to setup a viable professional Team and as the Kore Team
becomes fully populated and functioning smoothly we will offer further assistance and collaboration if needed.
Viorcoin success depends on You.

The Kore Team sees the benefit of Viorcoin going public in some way to appeal to the general population
and could provide the conduit whereby Korecoin accesses regular dial up numbers/the Gateway.
This will ensure the existence of both no matter what the future may hold.

Please read through the posts and keep updated with our progress
and please consider joining this rare opportunity, your help can make the difference.
Your dedication and patience are highly appreciated!

Sincerely,
MikeMike

INVESTING IN A VIORCOIN CORPORATION:

We are considering various investment/funding options.
If anyone would like to contribute to the Gateway Software and share in the profits/return
of the company that will be formed please let us know. This will be separate from the Coin.

We are also considering an option that distributes the coins according to the amount contributed
to the formation of this business endeavor and may give a period of time for the promised donation
amount. There would be a legal corporate entity created, contracts and documentation.

The investments could then be scaled in steps per the progress made so it's not all required up front.
First: could be the creation of the Corporate structure, name, website, Coin takeover or a new coin created.
Second: could be the purchase of the gateway software itself.
Third: could be the integration of that software into the wallet and new wallet release.
Fourth: could be the purchase of the other Gateway Software allowing for different OS platforms
and could be one at a time if necessary and funding the Gateway allowing for full use.
Fifth: could be funding various marketing strategies and could be one at a time.
and so on... This would allow more people opportunities to fund within their means
over time while also building the full trust of the Investors and the Community.

EDIT:
There are three investors so far
and one two others are interested.

NOTE: At the present time all the VoIP and Gateway features are functional
giving us time to seek the right approach to success while giving you a taste of what these services
will be like in the future once incorporated into a new wallet. It makes sense to use the Gateway
Service as little as possible or not at all so it remains active.
The VoIP address to address Voice and Video are fully functional.
Enjoy!

Vior focuses on the use of peer-to-peer technology and advanced cryptography to ensure secure communication. Vior was designed to make sure that voice communications and personal/business communications could be kept private.

Features

Anonymous Messaging

This allows messaging through the qt wallet with encryption. These messages are a deeply encrypted form of messaging and this feature has the advantage of being a safer form of messaging than that alternative messaging applications. Many instant messaging and chat programs do not include basic features of encryption.

Call voice I.P. to voice I.P. through qt client

Vior wallet users will be able to communicate with each other over anonymous Voice sessions through the wallet qt. These connections will be secured and tunneled. To enable this process users open the qt client and call each other through the wallet addresses provided. Much like sending or receiving coins with regular coin qt users. Whilst the user is communicating it is also possible to message others with encrypted messages and send and receive coins whilst communicating with others. Group calls can also be completed so that users can enter group conversations with other users.

Video Display

Video will be shown in the QT wallet this allows users to see and view others over a secure voice chat system. The video that is being viewed will be encrypted.

Dual Key Stealth Addresses

Dual key stealth addresses add anonymity within sending and receiving transactions. Stealth addresses add an enhanced hash layer to the appropriate transactions. This increases security of transactions so they are not linked to regular Vior addresses and therefore cannot be seen clearly through the block chain.

Lite Wallet

I.P. Masking on Connection

When connected calls or sending messages all communications will go through encrypted nodes. This means that there will never be a direct link established between your I.P. address and the receivers I.P. address. This is also an advantage for the decentralized network.

Decentralized Network

Servers will never go down in the Vior system like other services such as Skype this means that users can constantly login at all times and there will be no down time of the system. Decentralization means that the network cannot be taken down by DDOS attacks or other attacks on the network.

Proof of Stake Network supporting

Users earn Vior coins by supporting the decentralized network. The Proof of Stake staking procedure allows coins to be generated and Proof Of Stake also stabilizes the network and encourages new nodes on the network to be established so that users can gain more coins.

Virtual Private Server Tunnelling

Virtual Private Server tunnelling allows user to initially connect to the Vior network without the need to use their own I.P. address so on connection to the network privacy is assured as they are connecting with a VPS/VPN this allows alternative connection use.

No Need For Block Chain Synchronization

Vior users do not have to download the block chain this means that instant network synchronization occurs. Users will be able to have access to funds and features immediately without the need for synchronization. When the block chain expands users will not have to download large block chain sizes, the wallet can be stored and automatically synced across a large variety of devices and will be small in file size. This prevents hard drive space limitation along with time limitations.

Easy Wallet Recovery Features

Vior will offer wallet recovery features such as wallet recovery with a simple password command. This allows users to recover wallets easily without the use of complex backing up procedures.

Private key encryption and recovery system encryption. Private keys are encrypted to devices that use the wallet making them extremely hard to crack even with access to the private key primary file. Recovery files are also encrypted to make sure that even if a hacker has gained access to the system they will not be able to use the recovery files without breaking the encryption first.

Node SSL Authentication

Node ssl authentication allows an extra requisite of security as ssl connections. This maintains that connections are secure nodes with the ssl connection standard.

Wide Platform Adaptability

Vior will allow instant synchronization from all computers and devices. This makes sure that users have instant balance updates along with the allowance of instant send and receive functions.

Cold Storage Functions

Cold storage mechanisms and functionality is inside the wallet to make sure users funds are protected. Users can simply use the wallet as a cold storage device, which will allow them to receive coins to addresses while not allowing sending access from the wallet directly. Users can also monitor their cold storage addresses. In order to bring coins out of cold storage users will have to go through a manual process of transaction signing between offline and online machines.

Exporting of VIOR keys so they can be imported into different wallets. This will allow you to export your private key so you can use other alternative VIOR wallets.

Æther OS incorporates seamless Tor and VPN privacy protections. Developers need code only with similar objects and classes they are already familiar with within the .NET/Mono API and Æther takes care of the rest; however, this is merely the first implementation of the privacy layer and more seamless protections are being planned to be added: For example, what we shall refer to at present as "Tor 2.0" will add additional security and privacy protections to the platform and apps running on it.

NOTE: To Counteract the typical,...More than one person is in possession of the Source Code.

1-5-15 SDK UPDATE:
New Release Additions:

+ Video Input (input as webcam for emulation purposes)
+ Audio Output
+ Example app (including course code) showcases video input (as a box that can be moved around with the pointer) and audio output by audio generation when buttons are clicked.
+ Fully transparent Tor- and VPN-targeted classes which can be used (as alternatives) to the standard .NET implementations (e.g. AEtherSocket.) Full backend Tor and VPN infrastructure will be implemented on the device. For now the classes are there to be the methods and code building blocks by which seamless TCP security operations will take place in future, on the KOREphone.
+ Bug fixes

Æther SDK 0.3 Installer:
https://mega.co.nz/#!uRlHAaKS!Wzw8Q_0UhxMXFQN31NqnH5PMTAx1kDSpz29uKn0yeM8

All necessary APIs required in order to write 99% of apps is now complete (the exception being some games and apps that do 3D graphics.) Any extras which may be required will be added by request from any devs writing apps, of course.

The hardware rendering infrastructure is next, followed by hardware integration. In the meantime devs have essentially everything they would need in order to write their apps.

FYI: Attached is a summary of the OS components, it’s currently at just under 17K lines of code. That’s a lot more actual code; I’ve still yet to determine exactly how much that is but it’s easily double or triple the number.

4-26-15

After translating the majority of TOR over to Æther OS we decided to shelve the months worth of work.
Seeing how TOR works, it's unneeded bloat, flaws and it's Achilles heel
in it's exit nodes a decision was made to start from scratch.

The reasoning is the same that is the drive behind the Æther OS,
there has to be a better way that's more secure.
This was in mind prior to translating TOR into Æther OS taking months
deciphering how and why TOR works the way it does.

SEE OUR STATEMENT BELOW in our last Update announcement from 3-20-15:
"It's only the first step in our security endeavors we are bringing you and want to improve
the Æther OS security even beyond TOR."

Read the 1-6-15 Update as well...

This has been accomplished and is in testing.
___________________________________________________________________
3-20-15

We promised to bring you a secure OS and mentioned we were working on additional security coding.
What we were working on is Translating TOR into the Æther OS which is just over 60% completed.
Those aware know this is a monumental task.
It's only the first step in our security endeavors we are bringing you and want to improve
the Æther OS security even beyond TOR.
____________________________________________________________________
1-30-15

We have added a huge coding task to the mix which has caused a delay in the hardware rendering and integration.
Soon as this security related coding endeavor is completed the hardware rendering will commence.
An update will follow when this transition happens.

"It's not about size, it's about surface.
This little HS doesn't look like much, but it increases the surface by x9!

ASIC 6x6=36mm2
HS 8x8=64mm2x5(one for each blade)=320mm2
320/36=8,8 plus borders on blades and base = ~ x9"
