2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Will the chikun arise? on: June 10, 2014, 07:43:59 AM
Guys, will LTC ever recover or should I sell my 24 LTC now? I've been waiting for 6 months and it's only going downhill so that's why I ask. I am purposedly not asking on LTCforums because I want to avoid bias. Thanks!
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Suspicious email from "BTC-E"? on: March 11, 2014, 03:24:15 PM
I just received this suspicious-looking email from "BTCE-E" (sent via smtp.com so obviously fake):

4  Other / Meta / Can we get an MtGox subforum here? on: March 06, 2014, 09:12:39 AM
With all the recent threads concerning Emptygox on this subforum, can we get a dedicated MtGox subforum to keep things more organized? Also move the active Gox threads in there?

Edit: I'm not suggesting to move the Gox topic out of the Service subforum - all I'm saying is dedicate a sub-sub-forum (within this one) for it, because it's such a huge issue it deserves it.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 7950 GPU usage jumping up and down on scrypt on: September 14, 2013, 04:08:40 PM
I'm close to crying right now, as I could not get my hd7870 past 300KH previously and now I've sold it and bought a HD7950 that, besides only pusing 400KH, seems to be exhibiting this weird issue:

GPU usage jumping up and down between 100 and 64% while scrypt mining in CGminer. I'm not even overclocked yet, just testing the card at these settings:

--thread-concurrency 8192 -I 12 -g 2 -w 256 --verbose

Anyone seen this before and knows what's going on?

Many thanks for any replies!
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / LTC mining with CGMiner help on: July 11, 2013, 05:19:14 PM
I just statred mining LTC on Win7 x64, using my hd7870 @1100Mhz core clock and I'm only getting ~270kH/S. The PC only had 4GB of RAm but adding an extra 2GB did not help anything.

On another PC with 12GB RAM, using the same software but an inferior hd7850 I am getting ~350kH/S which seems about right according to mining hardware charts.

What could be wrong with the first PC?

Thanks!

BTW I'm using these command line params:

cgminer --scrypt -o http://mine.pool-x.eu:9000 -u xxx -p xxx --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 15 -g 1 -w 256
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Stolen BTC analysis pls on: July 10, 2013, 12:06:26 PM
Recently I've had 1.9BTC stolen from my Gox account:

http://blockchain.info/fb/19j5dg

And I've been following the "trail" ever since, all the way to here:

http://blockchain.info/fb/1afxvnvh

But I'd be lying if I could say the trail makes any sense to me. Can somebody well-versed in the blockchain try and analyze WTF has been happening to my coins? I'm not hoping to uncover the thief's identity or anything, just curious what people like him do with stolen coins. It looks like he's combining various inputs and in the last instance, he's also receiving all sorts of 0.001BTC inputs? Sorry but I'm afraid I'm not even using the correct terminology here, lol. Thanks for your efforts! Cheesy
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why would anyone use BTC to buy LTC? on: June 27, 2013, 10:28:57 PM
So a lot of GPU miners these days are saying it's time to jump ship to LTC. They say the pasture is greener over there in LTC land and you can get more profit by exchanging LTC for BTC, than just by mining BTC. Sounds like a plan, but can anyone explain why anyone in their right mind would use their BTC to buy the mined LTC? I mean why would anyone even need to buy LTC, in the first place? Are people really doing this or is it just some legend?

Honest question. Thanks!
