As like just about everyone I have been speculating ANS. I'm still in the green, albeit slightly now. I dig and I dig but all I keep hearing is baseless speculation, "China is HUGE", and all that none sense. I'm not versed in the technical aspects of cryptos. How does this coin look from a tech perspective? How does it compare to ETH? What would be "incredible news" at the upcoming conference? Sources would be amazing. Thanks!

Seems like a junk coin. Too many small wales. Not enough progress. Too much competition. I really like the developer's mindset but that's about it. I would prefer to hold however, but it seems irrational. Thoughts?

What coins are going to be used by grandma to buy gumdrops and diapers? The more I dig the more I realize many coins, even well established ones, are pie-in-the-sky fantasies with niche uses. As much as I love it I'm not interested in speculating in all of that. Too many variables, too likely to get ripped off by established players (banks, tech companies, etc). I'm interested in finding out more about coins that are going to be potentially used by "normal" people in day to day life. Coins that potentially cannot get bullied out by the new "Apple Inc Coin" or "Microsoft Bro Bux".

Less interested in an actual answer to that, but more interested in learning. So DGB got pumped hard in the last few hours, but it looks like its coming to end as the sell-wall is massive. So in the short term it would be irrational to go in now? Am I getting the hang of this? Any insight would be grand.

I'm new, it has been a week since I have begun speculating. Although I've been familiar with BTC for much longer. I have bought in as follows (excluding BTC/ ETH)

• XVG - 30%
• SC - 30%
• STRAT - 20%
• BAY - 20%

I shot first and asked questions later, and while I don't think I'm in a "bad" position the more I dig the less true potential I see here. From what I gather these coins can go 5-10x in the next year, but that's purely speculative. The loss if any would be negligible right now. I'm not just going to dump outright. I'm looking at FCT, PASC, DGB, BLOCK now. I'm okay holding too. Any unfiltered wisdom would be appreciated. 

I'm a newbie and would like to gain insight. Let's use XVG as an example, it's all the rage. Right now it's worth ~200 satoshi (I said that right?). The product looks solid, the team looks good, etc. It was worth ~20 satoshi a month ago. Speculation has driven it up, correct? So theoretically it could fall to that level again if everyone sold. But why would they? I imagine it's very quantitative but would it be possible for whales to just kill its value and drop the price ten fold (pump and dump)? That aside what else could happen? The developers could get into a scrap and the project falls to the wayside? BTC tanks? What could cause a "worse case scenario"? Appreciate any insight!
