1  Bitcoin / Project Development / MtGox PHP Client for API V2 - v0.1 on: September 30, 2013, 02:00:50 AM
Hi developers,

Tonight I made a MtGOX Client in PHP for the new MtGox API v2.

There was no client available in PHP yet for the newest version so I decided to make my own.

The PHP Class is open-source so you may freely distribute it and use it for your own websites.

Currently it features the following methods:
* MtGoxClient::getInfo()
* MtGoxClient::orderQuote($type = 'ask', $amount = '100000000')
* MtGoxClient::orderAdd('bid',1000000,1340293 )
* MtGoxClient::orderBuy($amount = 0.0001, $price)
* MtGoxClient::orderSell($amount = 0.0001, $price)
* MtGoxClient::orderCancel('4d484979-6237-4e66-b76d-4e8085a8b8be')
* MtGoxClient::getDepositAddress($description = null, $ipn = null)
* MtGoxClient::generateDepositAddress($account = '')
* MtGoxClient::getOrders()
* MtGoxClient::getTicker()
* MtGoxClient::getCurrency()
* MtGoxClient::setPair('BTCEUR')->getCurrency()
* MtGoxClient::getWalletHistory($currency = 'BTC', $page = 1)

These functions are sufficient to create your own Bitcoin Payment Processor.

I hope it will be useful to you. Feel free to post any feedback.

Donations are also welcome if you want to buy me a beer:

I'm happy to be able to contribute to the Bitcoin Community in this way.

Good luck!

Submitting
- You may submit as many times as you like. I will do my best to give constructive feedback on every submission so you can apply modifications if needed

If you have any further questions feel free to ask them. If not I will wish you good luck and..

Update
I have created a mockup of how I envision the logo:

Something like this but more professionally slicker:

It depicts a "Shorting" opportunity, the "Head and Shoulder" pattern in a round canvas.

With a border and a maybe with a BTC sign, try with and without.

Download PSD file here
You can use the PSD as a base and recreate it in vector. If anyone can do this and make it even smoother it will surely be my winner.

Make sure the logo is clear and not blurry when you resize it to small image like this:

I want a canvas of 600x450 so I can use it for business cards but you need to check if it looks good when you resize it to small.

May the best designer win!

6  Economy / Lending / Paypal Loans instead of BTC Loans with collateral on: September 23, 2013, 03:13:03 AM
Hi everyone,

I was wondering why there aren't many Paypal loans without the need for collateral.

Yesterday, I got a loan from somebody at Digital Point and told him the same story I did here.
He found my mesage intelligent and informative that's why he decided to give me a loan. I wasn't active at DP for 5 years so my the only reputation I had was legacy iTrader.

He didn't bother much about that because he says he can file a dispute if someone defaults so it looks pretty safe.

The lending terms were maximum 44 days because after 45 days you can't file a dispute anymore.
It's seems like this is a safe method to loan each other withouth the need of an escrow or collateral but maybe I am missing something

What do you guys think Paypal loans? Is it 100% safe. Would you use it for loans without collateral and loaning to newbies?
7  Other / Beginners & Help / When is a funded BTCJam loan credited to your account? on: September 19, 2013, 07:41:59 PM
Hi everyone,

I succesfully acquired a loan of 1 BTC  at BTCJam and before I activated it I also send 1 BTC.

When I look in my account after a while it had a balance of 0.98 BTC. I'm not sure now if the balance was credited through my deposit or through the loan.
Does anyone know when the loan will be credited to your balance?

Best regards,

9  Economy / Lending / [CANCELLED] 30% interest per 2 months - Round 1 - 20K cap on: September 18, 2013, 11:54:30 AM
This is not the right approach to ask for a loan that high for a new member like me so I am cancelling this request
You can still view my original posting below for educational purposes on how not to ask for big loans.

-------------
Hello everyone,

I am a Media Buyer and turn every dollar in 3 dollar by buying traffic for CPL campaigns.

As you can see that is a 300% return on investment (ROI).

The downside is I have to prepay the traffic and get paid for the leads after 2 months.
This leaves me with a cash flow issue.

Therefore I am looking for investors who are interested to loan me money with an 30% interest after 2 months.

Let me give you an example:

1st October 2013: You invest $1000
1 December 2013: You get $1000 + 30% interest ($300) = $1300

There is a cap in the amount of money I want to loan.
The first round I want to start with an investing round with a $20.000 (twenty thousand) limit.

This is because I can't do unlimited leads per month so it is no use for me to scale unlimited in advertising.

So here's the final deal.

Max. investment budget: $20.000
Aim budget: $5000
Minimum deposit to participate: $500
Term: 60 days
Interest: 30% after 2 months

How do I plan to pay you back?
I work as a freelance PHP developer and have 2 big clients.
Here is proof of my monthly income from these clients along with my company name:
http://pressclick.nl/dev/screenshots/earnings.png
http://pressclick.nl/dev/screenshots/earnings2.png

This month I have spent $4000 to earn $8000 since september 1st 2013 (proof available).
I spend around $250 per day on media buying so that means I will spend another 12 x $250 = $3000 for this month.
Let's say I have a ROI of 200%, that means I earn $6000 with the $3000.
I will totally have spent $7000 by the end of the month september 2013 and earn $8000 + $6000 = $14000.

The payment terms with my affiliate partner is NET60, that means I get paid 2 months later. That would be end november, beginning december 2013.
That means that my ability to pay you back is already secured.

However by the end of this month my budget is almost depleted and in order to keep the cash flow going I would need another $7k to spend the next month October.
Offcourse I have my income as a freelancer which is about 4k/5k euro per month but I also have costs like rent and take my girlfriend out for dinner and shopping and stuff so I need approximately $5k to keep spending $7k in advertising in a month. If I can get more that would be great off course so I can scale up and generate more revenue.

Eventually I have enough earnings and to overcome the cash flow issue and I won't be needing investment anymore. This is the first round and there will probably be a 2nd round maybe in the next 3 months.

- More detailed bank statement
- Skrill transaction history
- Facebook billing statement (proof of spending)

Proof of ID/address
- Driver's License
- Passport
- Tax form
- UPC bill
- Phone bill

Collateral
- 106 Litecoins

My Home PC
- Intel Core i7 Pentium 3770K
- 16 gb RAM
- Radeon HD 7900
- 256 GB Samsung SSD

My Work PC
- Intel Core i7 Pentium 3770K
- 16 gb RAM
- 128 GB Samsung SSD
- 24 inch iiyama

Other stuff
- 42 inch Sony Brava LCD Flat Panel
- Samsung Galaxy S3
- Reseller hosting (200 GB HDD, 200 GB Traffic, NL based)

Please note:
I'm not looking for 1 investment of $20k, I prefer a few investments between $500 - $1000.
If I get $5000 that would be sufficient, if I get more that's just very nice that means I could make more revenue and there's more interest for you to be earned.

I'm looking forward to your participation and if you have any questions feel free to post it here.

13  Other / Beginners & Help / Bootstrap.dat takes more than 10 hours to update the whole blockchain on: April 20, 2013, 05:23:34 PM
I am running bitcoind for the first time, mine is at 218590 blocks at the moment and it looks like its only getting 2 blocks per minute now.

Is it normal that bootstrap.dat (4.5gb) takes more than 10 hours to update the whole blockchain?
