Hi everyone,

I was wondering why there aren't many Paypal loans without the need for collateral.

Yesterday, I got a loan from somebody at Digital Point and told him the same story I did here.
He found my mesage intelligent and informative that's why he decided to give me a loan. I wasn't active at DP for 5 years so my the only reputation I had was legacy iTrader.

He didn't bother much about that because he says he can file a dispute if someone defaults so it looks pretty safe.

The lending terms were maximum 44 days because after 45 days you can't file a dispute anymore.
It's seems like this is a safe method to loan each other withouth the need of an escrow or collateral but maybe I am missing something

What do you guys think Paypal loans? Is it 100% safe. Would you use it for loans without collateral and loaning to newbies?

I guess paypal loans could be safe, but what if:

I loan you $1000 USD
You pay back
We are all happy, then you chargeback.
Then I'll have to try to chargeback and really that won't end well.
Even if both chargebacks/disputes happen, it would be a waste of time and to the lender, it would be a 0% loan.

create a fake paypal account with a prepaid (anonymous) cc (costs like $20)
Take out a loan for $500.
Within the next 30 days withdraw your funds to your cc
go to the next atm and take out the funds from the cc
watch the borrower filing a dispute while you hold the cash in hand...

Are you asking for a loan?
I suggest you get out, you're not going to get a loan unless you provide a collateral.
