4  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS UK] 64GH mining rig (2x V1 Blade and 1x Cube) on: January 17, 2014, 11:05:58 AM
For sale is a pair of V1 ASICMiner Blades, both running stable at 13GH.  Also one ASICMiner Cube running stable at 38GH.

Blades are sold as received, and I've added a 6-pin PCI-E power cable, so they're ready to roll with your ATX PSU.

The Cube has an upgraded fan (Scythe/Servo GentleTyphoon 1500rpm fan which gives much more air flow with less noise than the factory fit tractor engine fan).  This has been running stable with a 600W PSU.  I'll supply two leads for power, one is a normal 6-pin to 6-pin extension (makes it easier to plug/unplug) and one is a 6-pin to 8-pin CPU cable - this allowed me to run both 12V rails on my PSU.  Use of these cables is optional if you have a PSU with plenty of power.

I'm looking BTC1.5 including shipping to UK.  Open to offers.

I'll post pics later if requested.
5  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB UK] Chili, Jalapeno, Klondike K16, etc - any USB miners wanted. on: December 29, 2013, 07:28:23 PM
Folks,

I have some BTC to invest in miners - I want something along the lines of a BFL Jalapeno, Chili, Klondike K16, Hashbuster Micro - any of those USB miners.

I DO NOT want the likes of Blue/Red/IceFurys or any other USB stick type miners unless they're very cheap.

Let me know what you have and what you want for it. Smiley
6  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Overclockers.co.uk finally get with the program... on: December 14, 2013, 11:07:19 AM
Just got an email from Overclockers, and they're listing a load of hardware that's "Great for Mining" - including PSUs, GPUs and the like.

Nice to see them getting in on the action, though I wonder how they'll deal with all the returns of melted PSUs and burnt out GPUs?  Cheesy
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / (Try to) cancel your Jalapeno order and they ship it quicker! on: November 27, 2013, 05:18:47 PM
Tried to cancel my June 30th 7GH Jalapeno order at the end of October. My Jalapeno arrived in the UK today, order on BFL says fulfilled.  BFL_Jody Blog says they're shipping 7th June orders.  So it would seem they shipped my Jally ahead of schedule, and only reason I can see is because I tried to cancel.

Have to pay the £40 import tax tomorrow and I should have it finally, only 3 months late.
8  Bitcoin / Hardware / Jalapeno replacement fan recommendations? on: November 26, 2013, 09:48:37 AM
Quick question - anyone recommend replacement fans for the Jalapeno?

I have a 5GH unit in the post I'm going to blow some better firmware on to, and a 7GH unit on it's way.  Looking at previous threads, the standard fans look a bit shitty.

I was thinking the 92mm Scythe Kama Flow 2.  Anyone got any thoughts?  Huh
9  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 2x Gigabyte HD7950 cards. [UK ONLY] on: September 05, 2013, 05:04:18 PM
I have my last two GPUs for sale.  Both are Gigabyte Windforce3 HD7950 3GB.  3 fan units.  Part number is GV-R795WF3-3GD REV2.0.

Both have mined BTC and LTC for about 6 months.  They both work fine.  One is slightly noisier than the other as one of the heatsink fins rattles.  I haven't been able to figure out which one, it's barely noticable over the noise of the fans when mining.

Extra heatsinks have been added to the back of the card for extra VRM cooling during scrypt mining.

Supplied in original boxes.  I will try and find the cables and stuff that came with the cards, but no promises.  If I find them I'll ship them.  Consider them to be bare cards in original boxes.

Will take BTC4 or nearest offer for the pair, shipped to you.

10  Bitcoin / Hardware / ASICMiner Blade users - cooling? on: September 02, 2013, 08:17:49 AM
I've a Blade on it's way to me.  I have a PSU (30A 12V bench supply) which is fine.  I'm now trying to figure out what cooling I'm going to need.

I'm thinking a 120mm fan will do the job, probably a 1400rpm Gentle Typhoon running at about 900rpm.  I'll probably raise it off the heatsink a little with rubber feet and attach with a long zip tie.

Does this sound adequate?
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / eBay UK - massive clampdown on anything Bitcoin related. on: August 21, 2013, 10:54:14 AM
Got this from a guy I bought BTC from.  I've also seen folks selling Bitcoin hardware getting the same treatment.

[THIS MESSAGE IS SENT TO EVERYBODY WHO DEALT WITH ME OVER THE LAST 30 DAYS]

As you may be aware, since the weekend eBay have been on the warpath with Bitcoin. Starting with the largest sellers, eBay have systematically been shutting us down. Most Bitcoin listings have been deleted, orders have been cancelled (even paid-for orders), accounts have been closed and sellers have been threatened with account closures for anything but total compliance with eBays totalitarian demands. Some sellers have been blocked from even communicating with their customers which is what has happened to me for a small while.

Even sellers of Bitcoin mining hardware have been threatened with account closures for running currency exchange services, which bares no grounding in either logic or common sense. I have been repeatedly harassed and threatened by eBay for conducting my own private affairs. PayPal have even stolen money from me from and attempted to arbitrarily reverse even quite historic transactions from satisfied customers.

These are unprecedented times and I have been unable to do much about it.
**I WANT TO ASSURE EVERYBODY THAT HAS PAID FOR AN ORDER THAT I _WILL_ FULFILL IT**
I am an honest businessman and many of my customers who have had repeat dealings should know I can be trusted completely.

I understand lots of people are worried and annoyed with me but please understand that this is entirely eBay's doing and this is an unprecedented situation. Please be prepared for a couple of days to receive your Bitcoin, eBay deleted large amounts of order information and it's a slow and painful process to try and reconstruct a history of my account from fragments of old messages and notes which were made. I'm working on this for 18 hours each day.

I will contact everybody with updates to their orders as soon as I humanly can.
In case my account is again blocked from messaging, **PLEASE SEND ME YOUR PHONE NUMBER** so I can update you no matter what happens here.

So, I think anyone dealing in BTC or BTC related stuff on the Bay of e should watch themselves, and be careful.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Transactions stuck? on: July 31, 2013, 06:26:41 PM
Long story short, I've got some stuck transactions.  They've been sat at 0 confirmations for most of the day.   One was incoming from my p2pool machine, which looks like it's happened twice.  The second was an outgoing, which is equally stuck.  Bitcoin looks connected with 9 connections to the bitcoin network.

It looks like one transaction has happened twice, as there's some money in "Unspendable".

Any ideas?
13  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / McAfee vs bitcoin mining on: April 25, 2013, 09:39:24 AM
Seems the retards at McAfee have something against bitcoin mining.  Last few weeks McAfee has been deleting minerd.exe and cgminer.exe, saying they're "Artemis Trojan".  Useless b***ards.  Roll Eyes

Had to put the various exes in the whitelists in ePO.  Waste of my time.  Roll Eyes

Rant over. Smiley
