So I have been mining a few months now. First GPUs, then a a few BFL FPGAs, and now I have 18 USB ASICs. Everything seemed fine until the USBs. One PC refuses to work with them (they show up in windows, but CGminer will not ever show them). The other PC was working fine with them. After restarting CGminer one day, now it just starts and says CGMINER.EXE has stopped working. I can't get anythign to work now. I tried another PC, and nothing seems to work on it either (CGMINER wont start). I have reinstalled it, I tried BFGminer, I tried Bitminter, nothing seems to work. Bitminter says port probe error or something like that. I installed the BFL drivers (which did work, now they dont seem to either), and I installed the ASIC USB driver, all using Zadig or whatever its called. Any ideas? Please help the noob!!!

Like the Butterfly FPGAs. BFG and CG miner seem like a lot of work to get setup. Is there a way to use GUIminer on FPGAs?
Thanks

I see the BFL singles, and some others going for $1200-1600 each. How can this EVER come even close to breaking even much less making any money?
Am I missing something?
Thanks!

Ok, I am new to all of this, but I am really excited and ready to learn more. I made a CoinBase account, a Mt Gox account, a Dwolla account, and a few others I do not even remember. The idea to be, if Bitcoin seems like a good price one day, I will buy some. This is proving WAY harder than I expected. Coinbase must have a buy amount of like $5.00 a day (always over limit), Mt Gox it apparently takes 2 months and an act of congress to finally get money into an account thru Dwolla, etc etc. Is there a better way to do this that I am not seeing? Bitcoin will never take off, it seems to me, if it is this hard just to GET them! Please help the n00b! Thanks

So I have GUI miner running on a PC with 3 7850s. Initially, I just opened three instances of GUIminer, set each to the correct worker name, and clicked Start Mining. One was at 350ish, the other two at 250ish. Then I realized I could have them all it one instance by adding miners to the first window (I know, DOH). Anyway, I did that, and now the second two are mining at like 4. And i cant delete them. What is the default setting used when creating a miner (OpenCL I would assume, but maybe not and that is the problem?)
Thanks for ANY help!

I have three 7850s in my first rig that I made. All seem to work ok, but one gets 350, the other two only about 250. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Are graphics cards still the best way to mine LTC?

Are any of these even worth bothering with at this point? They seem to still be quite expensive on eBay when they pop up.

I am interested in the Lncelot FPGAs currently being discussed on the marketplace, but I can't post to get any info or ask any questions. The website they have linked already says there are none available til August.
Ay ideas or help?
THanks! Brian

So, do you all really think all these other types of digital currency will stick around? LTC, FC, etc.
Should I be mining them, and if so...which ones?
Thanks!
