I can't mine using this command Bin\AMD-GenesisMining\sgminer.exe --api-listen -k groestlcoin -o stratum+ssl://hub.miningpoolhub.com:17004 -u aaronsace -p x --gpu-threads 2 --worksize 128 --intensity d I got this result: [21:14:39] Started sgminer 5.5.5-gm [21:14:39] * using Jansson 2.7 [21:14:40] Probing for an alive pool [21:15:40] No servers were found that could be used to get work from. I think I must have put the entry incorrectly. Why is sgminer search for http://stratum+ssl://hub.miningpoolhub.com:17004 ? Why there is http:// before stratum+ssl:// However, other people have tried the exact same command and claim that it works. Yes aaronsace is not even my user name. It's a username that's proven to work. So I wonder where I am wrong? Maybe I put pool and worker info wrong. However, others have tried exact same command and it works. Maybe I put wrong attributes? Maybe I have some missing library? WHat do you do if you try that command?

I know it's kind of obvious. Any pool does that?
In PPLNS, your share worth the same with those that mine when difficulty is higher. Hence, it's not very good for those with better timing.
I am not sure about PPS.
|
|
|
I love miningpoolhub. But they don't do PPS.
Their PPLNS is not suitable with those with better timing. So if you mine only when difficulty is very low you will not be rewarded as well as you should.
So I am looking for PPS or unit PPLNS where my expected value of coin is much better if I mine at the right time.

How do you save state?
If you have a 6 card rig, can you create one .ini for all your rig?
Can you save your voltage settings and use it for all 6 cards easily after each start up?

Actually if your have rx 480 sapphire nitro with samsung memory, what strap you should use?
I am now using 1750 strap
And with 1180/2150 timing I got 30 Mh/s
Some says I should use 1650 strap or even 1500
And perhaps lower timing.
Anyone tried?
I still use 1200 watt for 6 GPU (including CPU and motherboard and stuff). I want to lower energy usage further.
|
|
|
Currently I mod the main bios (not the silent one) and copy 1750 to everything below.
The memory is 4GB. However, many said that it's actually 8GB.
So I wonder what strap should I use.
I tried to strap 1625 silent bios but that's not working well at all. Too many errors.
And after that, what GPU clock and memory clock you use?
I used 1180/2150

I am buying stuff from nicehash and dumping them to multipoolminer.
So far losing money
I am suggested to have some form of proxy that sit between nicehash and multipoolminer to track down stats
In that case, I would like to be able to track how many hash are sent and how many are received by you.
Is there a way to do so?
You'd better add some proxy of shares.
nicehash -> proxy -> miningpoolhub
You can collect stats, shares from that proxy and count them.
Any recommendation?

Will 16.11.5 be the best driver for claymore? Will it fix my problem? And cannot be closed. Not even end task in task bar would be able to close it. Only in 1 rig and only for claymore run through multipoolhubminer What happen is multipoolhubminer will try to open another claymore with the same problem It basically stuck at the initial stage Restarting the rig works. But kind of a pain. Also if it happens in the middle of the night I am screwed. It's always at the initial stage. Happens very rarely. However, the way multipoolhub did is that it sometimes restart the whole thing. I am using 16.9.1 because it's the only driver that doesn't require bios check. - use DDU to uninstall 16.9.1 - install 16.11.5 - install Claymore 9.0, use -asm 0 first - do not overlclock - match the required power with no more than 80% of the limit of your PSU - do not use multipoolhub Once stable you can mod parameters one by one Will 16.11.5 be the best driver for claymore? Will it fix my problem?

I set my fan speed to automatic in afterburner. Actually that's the default.
However fan speed is only 33% and temperature is above 80.
I want to tell whatever algorithm that arrange fan hi fan, please increase fan speed till temperature is 70 C
How can I do this.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=528848.msg17876640;topicseen#msg17876640Is it a scam? It seems like a legitimate PPS alt coins. However, it partner up with some cloud mining. And that turns me off. Can we buy cloud mining and direct the hash to a pool? That way we know we're being screwed or not? What about the pool one? Is it legitimate? Many people report not getting money or getting much lower money than nicehash etc.

MultiPoolMiner is 13% more profitable than conventional mining!
Miner btc usd ----- --- --- MultiPoolMiner 0.00253 3.06008 {ClaymoreDual30-Ethash/Sia, CpuminerLyra2z-Lyra2z} 0.00224 2.71630 1. Is there a way to put power calculation in? For example, equihash consumes lower power than ethash. How to tell multipoolminer to do equihash instead? What does it mean multipoolminer earns 13% more than conventional mining? 2. Also should we donate to multipoolminer? I don't mind. I just want to know what feature will I miss if I don't. 3. Is Sia coin always the best for claymore as the second coin for dual mining? 4. Multipool miner says I would make .00253 BTC. I wonder where does it get the number. It says if I use Ethash/Sia I would make .0024 BTC. Again, where is that number come from? This ClaymoreDual30 {Ethash, Sia} {29.69 MH/s, 445.36 MH/s} {0.00180, 0.00017} suggest that I would make only .00197 btc per day. Not .00253 btc per day.

I am using 2 software. MSI afterburner. And watttool. I use MSI afterburner to overclock memory and underclock GPU. I use watttool to lower electric usage. I wonder if there is a way I can pull this up with only 1 software. Also my power according to MSI afterburner is 100 watt. I wonder if I can do 70 watt dual mining? Can MSI afterburner reduce core voltage by more than 100mv? Can it reduce memory voltage too?

Is it a place where you can buy and sell hash like nicehash? Is it PPS or PPLNS pool? What? https://www.zpool.ca/rentingIs this like miningpoolhub?
|
|

Anyone knows that?
I am making a trading bot and I want to test the bot without having to worry about variants for miner at the pool.
Anyone knows? Zpool?

Imagine a pool having 2 people.
A mines for 1 minute when difficulty is 1000. Then B mine for 1 minute when difficulty is 1. Let's for simplicity sake difficulty change from 1 to 1000 to 1 to 1000 to 1 to 1000 every minute. Say they both got the same machine.
Every 1-2 hours the pool solve some blocks.
The way I understand it is that the pool got far more contribution from B than from A. B contribution to solve some blocks is higher because B provides hash when difficulty is lower.
However, in most pools, A and B will get roughly the exact same payment.
They submit the same number of shares for the same stratum difficulty.
Am I correct here?
This is important for those who are buying nicehash hash to sell to some other pool. Even though you time your buying when difficulty is low you are rewarded as much as anyone with worse timing,
Are there any pool that rewards you more when you mine at lower difficulty?
I am thinking of making my own pool. Any coins (or test coins) I can solo to test things out?

I want to reduce power usage further. After all, I underclock the GPU. I think I saw a screenshot in msiburner that you can also reduce voltage for memory and stuff. Also can you reduce core GPU clock by more than 100 mv?

It seems that some information is not shown by polaris editor best upload picThe 2 bios end up having the same number. I got 30 mh/s from one and 28mh/s from the other.

In ati winflash there is this number for my GPU Sapphire Nitro RX 480 OC cheap image hostingThe number is 113.2E3471U.O6A I wonder what that number is? Does that mean everytime I want to flash BIOS I should use other BIOS with that exact same number?
