They gain merit just by posting that altcoin bounty?
I have tried to go to every section here (as much as my eye can handle) and I can see a lot of good poster. (does not include me I have bad English but I am trying without the help of google translate)
Now, I have seen a lot of merits given also in Meta section. I thought it was for good posts quality?
I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
- Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
- Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.
Is bashing here and there somehow a good quality? This is bitcointalk, shouldn't it be for helping others get the knowledge about bitcoin and not power, DT or trust or ranks? - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. This is what I see: "I merit this cool powerful guy then they might consider to let me join the cool powerpuff group."
I know it is hard to see those who are in good quality of posting because of the broadness of the forum but please why the hell should sections like bounties should have it?
