1  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Anonymous Prepaid GSM Calling Cards on: January 15, 2024, 09:35:09 PM
Hi,

I have some anonymous prepaid GSM calling cards for sale.

Approximately $10 worth calling/internet credit is included. The card operates on a Latvian network. These cards offer the best of both worlds: the cards are issued by a legitimate mobile provider but without the need for ID verification or registration. You will receive your card pre-activated and ready to use. 3 in 1 SIM card (mini/micro/nano) is compatible with most phones, devices and gadgets.

Price, including free worldwide delivery: $29.99 (in BTC). I can send to PO boxes no problem with that.

I can do any quantity, for bulk orders pricing is negotiable. Refill coupons are available too! PM me for more info.
2  Economy / Services / Any feedback on the new Binance's debit card provider? on: December 20, 2023, 09:08:01 PM
As you all probably know already Binance have closed their card program effective today. AFAIK Binance is now offering their new partner's debit card called Blackcatcard. Apparently this provider is located in Malta, they also offer a Maltese IBAN account as a part of their service.

Anyone ordered this card already? Any feedback? How fast did you get accepted? Perhaps any previous experience with this provider?
3  Economy / Economics / You are the product. Corporations spying on us deeper than we thought? on: November 21, 2023, 07:31:14 PM
Ok, everybody knows we are being spied on by the corporations like Google, Meta, Microsoft etc. That's a pretty well-known fact and is generally accepted by the public. However, I started noticing some alarming facts recently: I am being offered stuff I mention while I'm on the phone. Then, I noticed they're offering stuff I mention while chatting with my family while the phone is located somewhere in the room.

Finally, what's really scary, today I was talking to someone (while my phone was nearby) regarding a car key. I started using my phone a bit later and I was shocked to find out there's an ad containing the very same Merc key we were discussing and I was holding in my hands! Then suddenly I realized this is not the first time something like that happens. Which means that the phone is listening? (recording?) to our conversations and possibly also filming the whole thing?

Can we discuss it? Perhaps I'm overreacting or being paranoid and there's a simple explanation for this?  Roll Eyes
4  Other / Politics & Society / Can Israeli - Palestinian conflict worsen the crisis? on: October 07, 2023, 08:54:42 PM
Latest news from Palestine, Israel and the Gaza strip: Hamas fighters attacked Israeli territories, towns and even captured a military base with all the armored vehicles and arms. Hamas fired more than 2200 missiles and the legendary Iron Dome failed to protect Israel with many missiles getting through and exploding in the streets. Lots of people were kidnapped, some executed. The US seems to take the Israeli side of the conflict, whereas Russia seems to support Hamas.

Will this (re)emerging conflict fuel a new war and worsen the global economic situation?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Where are all the Bitcoin naysayers? on: September 30, 2023, 09:37:00 PM
I remember in good old days there was a bunch of notorious Bitcoin naysayers visiting this forum frequently. In particular, I can mention such accounts as Stolfi, Proudhon the llama and Roach (this nazi guy was hilarious actually). I'm sure many forum regulars remember them. There were many others as well, appearing from time to time, posting anti-bitcoin bs and FUD.

I have to admit that I rarely visit some parts of this forum, but I haven't seen any anti-Bitcoin accounts active recently. Why is that? There are no naysayers left? Lost interest in this forum? Or maybe I'm not attentive enough and they're still among us?  Grin
6  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Wallets affected by low entropy mnemonic hack on: July 18, 2023, 09:49:49 PM
I wonder where I can find a list of wallets affected by low entropy mnemonic hack? Are they all bip39 wallets? Are hardware wallets affected? I've heard some older versions of Electrum are using something similar to bip39? Can someone point me to such a list online?
7  Economy / Web Wallets / blockchain.info API down? on: June 01, 2023, 08:42:29 PM
Hi,

Any idea what happened to blockchain.info API? Is it still functional? This url: https://api.blockchain.info/customer/signup gives me a 503 error. It's one of the oldest and most popular APIs around and it would be a pity if it would go down forever. I also don't see any options to contact the support - it seems they offer support for their trading platform/exchange and wallet services but no mention of API anywhere?
8  Economy / Economics / Binance down, reportedly a bug in spot trading but withdrawals not working on: March 24, 2023, 01:44:24 PM
Binance went down about 2 hours ago with all withdrawals blocked and funds frozen. According to them there is a bug in spot trading algo? Unfortunately my funds in the funding wallet are still frozen as well and the card is not working. Any news, gossip on this event?
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Are you for or against ordinals? on: March 13, 2023, 06:58:12 AM
Lots of ordinals threads/discussions here lately. It's time to find out which % of Bitcointalk users support ordinals and how many think they should be stopped.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Mempool full? Long transaction times + fees x10! on: March 02, 2023, 07:20:20 PM
Something is brewing in the Bitcoin world? For the last 2-3 days I can I witness slow transactions and huge fees. I got used to 1sat/byte transactions and they always get through so I sent a couple of sats to myself but you can't imagine how surprised I was when I saw my tx is ~75mb from tip! My wallet suggested a fee of 10sat/bytes! So, what's going on? Is this connected with that ordinals mumbo-jumbo?  Huh
11  Economy / Exchanges / Coinbase closing my account for no reason on: January 17, 2023, 09:12:22 PM
I'm a long-term customer of Coinbase. Had an account and a card with them for years with no issues. Today I received this:

Unfortunately we have to close your Coinbase account. Before your account can be closed, you’ll need to withdraw your crypto funds to an external wallet and your cash funds to a bank account associated with your Coinbase account. If you are currently enrolled in USD Coin rewards, you may want to wait up to 40 days before withdrawing funds to ensure you have received all eligible reward payouts. You will not be able to access these funds after account closure. Please take precautions when transferring cryptocurrency to an external wallet as transfers outside of Coinbase are irreversible. Please also be sure to delete any external references to cryptocurrency addresses generated by Coinbase, as funds sent to those addresses will not be accessible once the account is closed. If you have any questions you may visit https://support.coinbase.com.

No reason why, nothing. Is it common? Anyone here also dumped by Coinbase just like that?  Huh
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Cashing out tips & strategies on: May 14, 2020, 08:12:35 AM
I guess all (most) HODLers are considering to cash out at some point after new highs are reached. So here in this thread we can share experience and ideas on how to do it safely, swiftly and efficiently. Best rates, opsec issues, crypto-friendly banks etc... any hints will be appreciated!

P.S. I lost nearly all my stash in an unfortunate boating accident so my interest is purely theoretical.  Cool

P.P.S. If this topic doesn't belong here please feel free to move it to the appropriate section.
13  Bitcoin / Electrum / Feature suggestion on: February 20, 2019, 07:42:30 PM
Hi,

Just wondering where can one suggest a feature? Would be great to have notifications in Electrum for Android (push notifications or whatever they're called?) showing in the top left corner of the screen...
