I was one of the unlucky few to be scammed by KNC back in the day, buying into the Titan miners and never getting one until it was pointless to mine as I would never see my ROI, even though they were (I want to say) nice enough to send me a second batch of Titan miners that I never took out of the box. And they weren't so nice shipping the second free batch as it forced me to pay the duty on something I was getting for free, which was a lot of $$. (sigh) When I finally did open the second box and attempted to power up the Titan cubes, the controller board was bad, no reset or FW update could fix it. And not all the miners worked. Fast forwarding to now and I wonder if anyone attempted to build a new controller board that allows you to connect two batches of miners on it? I know a lot of people who use PCBWays to build their boards after they design them are doing a lot of retro projects. As far as the minners not working it could be the caps they used aren't good quality ones. My first batch of Titan's are having similar issues now as the second has, were they don't start up. But I have some ideas for them as a project when my son is older. Thanks,

Are there any other decent pools that offer more than just BTC and BCH SHA-265 mining? I see there is a list of other crypto currency options for SHA-265 when I check google.
Thanks.

I am a bit confused on this site. I haven't mined in a very long time; the last time I was mining was when I was one of the unlucky few to be scammed by KNC Miner for their Titan miners.
Questions is, is stratum+tcp:// used for script SHA256 mining or is also used for other coins like LTC?
Other than BTC and BCH are there any other pools on this site that use SHA256?
Thanks,

I never got a chance to power up my 2nd miner which I from KNC until last night. After taking everything out and plugging it into my old PSUs which powered my initial miner I thought something was missing from the controller board, but didn't think anything of it. The initial power on showed 3 of the 5 miners were working in the controller and two were off yet their fans were spinning. I realized then the LCD display was missing on the controller and I had use the first port as port 1 instead of the last port. After changing the one miner around and checking all the power and controller cables when I powered it backup and all the miners show as off. I found this site, http://4thamd.com/KnC/ not sure if they have the actual roms or not? I tried the 105 rom on my controller, nothing changed. About the only thing I haven't tired is taking my old controllers LCD putting on this one or moving one of the miners to port 6. Any thoughts would be appreciate. Thanks,

The IRS has stated that recently they can track down people who are making a profit of Bitcoin without claiming it on their tax return. I wonder if the Core Engineers will start to look at ways to keep Bitcoin anonymous from prying eyes of the IRS and other Governments?
What are your thoughts?
Thanks,

Hi,
I live in Scarborough, ON, Canada. The fall and winter months are usually pretty cool/cold.
I wonder if anyone in Canada has moved their bitcoin/litecoin mining rigs to their balcony's for the folder months and what they encased them in?
I have a KNC Neptune miner which I want to put outside. My balcony faces west so I can sometimes get some pretty strong winds. I was thinking of using a rubbermaid container and drilling some holes; possible will need to build a down ward scoop on the intake side so that the snow and or rain doesn't get sucked into the container.
Does anyone have any pictures of stuff they have built they could share?
Thanks,

I am still new to linux in grasping it. I started building a Maxcoin pool using MPOS and the instructions found at - http://forum.max-coin.net/index.php/topic,11.msg17.htmlI am stuck at the database section it asks to create a db and use the following command: grant all on pooldb.* to ‘pooldb’@‘%’ identified by ‘PUT_A_VERY_STRONG_AND_LONG_RANDOM_DB_PASSWORD_HERE’; When I do this I get the following error: ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that the corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '%' identified by 'my-long-password' at line 1. I am using Unbuntu 12.04 up-to-date and using the info on the page I linked above I used the commands it provided to install MySQL, so I am not sure if it installed a newer version that doesn't support this command or if the person who wrote the tutorial f'd up, IDK. I have tried following up in the other forum but looking at the messages it looks like its become a dead forum. If someone here could help me I would appreciate it. Thanks,
