Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What is your target temp and max temp on gpu?
|
on: July 03, 2018, 06:25:06 PM

Hi. For those who use software to control temp on gpu. What is your max temp on gpu and what is your target temp? I have target temp 50C and max temp 85C before they trottle. I have my rigs outside and temp varies with weather. If thw sun is shining on my boxes in the morning and the temp is over 30C some of the gpu reach 85C and throttle until the sun is out of reach and temp lowers. I miss winter Using overdriventool

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / HDMI dummy plug software?
|
on: March 15, 2018, 11:46:25 AM

Hi. Since I havent received my hdmi dummy plugs yet I was wondering if there is a software that emulates that a display is connected? I am moving my rigs to a place without monitor (using remote software).
The mining software fucks up is there is no display connected.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Your experience with AMD Radeon 570/580 memory brands
|

My experience
Sapphire Radeon 570 Nitro+ 8GB Micron These cards are awesome. With polaris bios editor one time click patch + OC and undervolt I get 30.9 hashrate on eth. 1150/850 2150/850 powerlimit 70%. 13gpu + mb etc. draw 1525W from the wall. 0 errors
Sapphire Radeon 570 Nitro+ 8GB Hynix Good enough. One time click patch + oc and undervolt. I get about 28.x and 29.x hashrate on eth. I dont remember oc and undervolt settings, but I think it was 1200/900 2100/850. 0 errors
Sapphire Radeon 570 Nitro+ 8GB Samsung Micron I hate these cards. Used one time click patch (ubermix 3.1 for samsung and GOOD for micron). I get about 27.5-28.9 hashrate on eth. 1175/975 1975/850, powerlimit 70%. Some cards show 0 errors, some 625 error and one card 23000 errors after 3 hours mining. They are so sensitive! They use a little bit more power than micron and at the same time they have less hashrate.
Sapphire Radeon 570 Nitro+ 8GB Micron Samsung I havent tested this card yet. What is the difference between Micron Samsung and Samsung Micron?
Request: Anyone have the original bios of radeon 570 Micron Samsung? (Not Samsung Micron) I think I f**** up this bios. Forgot to take backup.
Whenever I test new settings that is working I will update this post. Please keep this thread nice without ten thousands of posts (update your post when new settings are successful), donīt quote if necessary.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What is a good powered riser?
|
on: February 01, 2018, 06:43:40 PM

I see there are a lot of powered risers out there.
But what is a good powered riser? Some have 8pin, 6pin and molex. I want to avoid sata. Some have 4 capacitors while other have 6. Some have LED and some do not.
Where is the preferred place to order? Do any of the big manufactures sell powered risers? Like Asus, Acer, Samsung etc. Or are they all non branded and sold on eBay, amazon, alibaba and newegg?
What is a good powered riser and why do u use the ones u have?
I want to avoid ending up with bad ones that destroys the gpu or malfunction.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / To to power risers safely in this case?
|
on: January 13, 2018, 07:38:06 PM

Hi all. Thanks to this forum I have learned a lot of mining.
But I have a case. I have an b250 mining board, 8x 570 gpu and one evga g2 1600w. How to power these risers safely?
I have read that I should avoid power coming from sata because of the fire hazard. So I canīt use sata, cpu or periph. ports from the psu.
That leaves me with the last option, power via pci 8-pin. But since I have 8gpu I only have one 8pin port in spare.
Can I power 1 gpu and 1 riser with the same 8-pin cable from the psu? I insert the 8-pin into the gpu and the 6-pin into the riser.
Comments? Thoughts?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Powering radeon 570 580 with 6pin AND 8pin?
|
on: January 06, 2018, 11:43:14 PM
|
Hi.
I guess if I mine with radeon 570 out of the box it's enough to use 8pin power connector. Do I need to connect a 6pin AND 8pin connector if I want to OC to mine some extra?
After what I've read on this site you can underclock etc to go from 25 to 29 mh/s.
If 6 and 8 pin is needed I need to double the amount of psu's 😂
