Does anyone know if this hardware supports the stratum protocol or must i setup up a machine on my network to utilize stratum?
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Asic Miner v2 seems to be rebooting on: October 02, 2013, 05:15:41 PM
Hello everyone!
Just got my asic miner setup as per dogies tut!!  I have tried numerous times to connect to 192.168.1.254:8000 but to no avail! The other computers in my network are on the same network as the blade. 192.168.1.xxx  I noticed that the lights for the Ethernet port are on and flashing green so i know it has power, but after a few minutes i see 1 tiny LED(named LED1 on the board)  on the back flash for a bit then stop. Its during this time that the Ethernet lights stop and restart when the LED has finished flashing. has anyone experienced this? Feedback would be much appreciated!!

Ive seen the post for powering here at this link...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=205369.0

Have a few questions perhaps someone can help....it would be appreciated!

It relation to this tutorial on powering an asic blade erupter.....

After reading this, Instead of using molex connectors for the 12v+, one could use the 12v+ rails from PCIe connectors just the same, no? (6pin to be exact)

It seems like the wire gauge for the PCIe is greater then the molex connector, is it not? Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

greetings everyone,

Just starting to get into the world of mining bitcoins and i have a question in regards to the powering of the board after reading this tutorial by dogie(nice job btw!!!) Well done! his link can be seen here....
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=205369.0

I see he uses the molex splitter to have thicker wiring,  and strips the yellow wires from each end of the split(2 yellows), which are +12v each, and they are placed in their appropriate spots.
Then he strips both of the black wires (4 total) ...they are both grounds. One is -12v and the other is -5v (on each molex connector).I see he has them doubled in their respective sockets.
My question is this. Are the Ground wires paired -12/-5v in each socket or are they paired -12v/-12v and -5v/-5v. My apologies if this is a stupid question, as said Im just starting to get into this and would like some clarification! Any and all responses are appreciated! Thank you everyone for your time!
And thank you dogie for the tut!!! Nice work!!!  Grin
