1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / So what about Revain.. on: June 01, 2021, 02:34:05 AM
Itīs been kind of dull ever since the bullrun in 2017. Do you think itīll ever get a good run again?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Sending token from MyEtherWallet (Ledger) to an exchange on: March 06, 2021, 05:53:47 PM
Hi,

I am about to send a token from MEW/Ledger to an exchange but when I try to do the send, MEW tells me I need to activate contracts on my Ethereum app (I donīt know what this means) on the Ledger before sending the token from MEW. However.. It is right that the token will be sent from MEW/Ledger VIA a contract address to the exchange? I never saw this before. Or is it a hacker trying to steal my tokens? Smiley Iīm still kind of a newbie so.. Any feedback on this appreciated!

Edit: I just tried to sent it and it worked. I now know the meaning of a contract. Smiley
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Best stable coin when selling crypto? on: February 25, 2021, 03:23:17 AM
USDT or BUSD? I never really sold and withdrew any crypto before. Just wondering what most people do on here when selling and tranfering to their bank accounts.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Is REV (Rchain) a good altcoin to HODL? on: February 10, 2021, 02:04:45 PM
I used to have Rchain in the form of Rhoc. But they swapped it over for Rev and now my Rhoc are useless. I consider them a loss. However, Rev is now super low and I wonder if itīs something I could go for. Trying to read up on Rchain but not sure they are going anywhere.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Is Hycon (HYC) a good token to HODL or a lost cause today? on: February 07, 2021, 05:47:33 PM
I bought some HYC a while ago, but they havenīt gone anywhere since. I try to read about HYC and their future developments but Iīm not sure what to think of what I find. Some say HYC is dead and wonīt ever go up again (Last time was in October to December 2018 with an ATH in the latter month). Should I get rid of my HYC for what little there is left of the investment (with a loss) or buy more?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is Streamr (DATA) a good token to HODL? on: February 07, 2021, 03:35:32 AM
Found this the other day. Is it a good buy? The price has been going down over time. I wonder if they will actually be of use in the future, technology wise.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Keep ERC20 token on Metamask or Ledger? on: February 02, 2021, 03:04:33 AM
If a token isnīt added to the Ledger yet does it matter if I send it to the Ledger, only making the token visible with MyEtherWallet, or should I just keep it in MetaMask?

Iīm still a newbie after 3+ years in this game. But Iīm loving it. Thanks for all the useful advice guys!
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Best altcoins to HODL? on: February 02, 2021, 12:01:58 AM
Some say altcoins pump once, then itīs over forever. But thatīs not always true. If the coin has real technology and usage behind it we could see it go to the moon in the future. Which altcoins have the best potential to stick around and create gains in the future?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Is it possible to swap DOGE/ETH to DOGE/USDT? on: February 01, 2021, 12:01:06 AM
Slowly getting into crypto I wonder what to do if I have DOGE/ETH and want to send it to letīs say Binance. However they donīt have DOGE/ETH. I think I know the answer; Find an exchange with DOGE/ETH. So I did. Hitbtc. However, if a trading pair (like DOGE/ETH) isnīt very popular at a certain exchange, the chances of selling it is lower/slower. Is there a simple way to change DOGE/ETH into DOGE/USDT or do I have to take the long route of transfering my DOGE/ETH from Tidex to Hitbtc, sell it, transfer the resulting ETH to Binance and convert the ETH to UDST and then finally buy DOGE/USDT? Of course you always want to have the trading pair and the exchange that is the biggest and most popular for easier selling. Crypto sure isnīt simple. But one can get better with time if one reads a lot, watch a ton of tutorial vids etc.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / How do I exchange BTC/ETH/LTC into smaller alt coins? on: December 26, 2017, 09:41:01 PM
So Iīve spent the last days reading articles, guides, watching videos on youtube on how to buy crypto currencies etc. To a complete crypto newbie, the amount of information out there is completely overwhelming. And I haven't found ONE simple & good guide that explains what you need to do in a basic 1-2-3 steps way.

Ive figured out I need a wallet, so I ordered a Ledger Nano S. Its the safest way to go (hardware wallets). I also need to use an exchange, and start with buying either BTC, ETH or LTC. Then I have to transfer them (?) to a different Exchange (or just use the latter exchange) to buy other currencies, alt coins.. Smaller currencies. After extensive research, I found out that the exchange with the highest number of different currencies are Bittrex. But Bittrex doesn't allow new users to register at the moment. Bitfinex, the largest exchange at the moment (according to volume) seems way too complicated for a newbie. How would Poliniex be? In a review from September its stated that Bittrex has 270+ alt coins and Poloniex has got 90+ alt coins. If I could find an exchange thats both newbie friendly and featuring many alt coins that'd be great! Hope I got the initial process right.. Exchange BTC/ETH/LTC -> Alt coins. Put them in a wallet, preferable a hardware one. (I will have my Ledger Nano S within a couple of days!)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! We all have our learning curve... I'm at the bottom of the ladder now. Smiley

Edit: To sum it all up...  I want to buy crypto coins of all kinds, including the smaller alt coins, and I'm trying to figure out how to!

Merry Christmas! Smiley
