1  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Blade Power to Molex Connector on: February 18, 2014, 04:12:24 PM
What are the things called to connect the V2 Blades to power via molex?

Those things^

Also, where can I buy some cheap? Got a couple of blades in the post and the seller was stingy enough not to include the connectors Sad
2  Bitcoin / Mining / Best PSU for ASICMiner Blades on: February 13, 2014, 10:32:52 PM
Hi,

I've getting given a couple of Blades and they aren't coming with PSUs, so I'm in the market for some. I was wondering what the best PSU I can buy for Blades is? Obviously they have certain current requirements from the PSU, so that limits what PSUs can be used, but I was also wondering whether it would be cheaper to buy a high spec PSU and power multiple Blades off of that rather than singular PSUs for each Blade.

Thoughts?

Also some links would be appreciated Smiley
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Creating an altcoin pool on: January 11, 2014, 12:01:18 AM
I was just wondering how difficult it is to setup an altcoin mining pool. I can make the website and host it, easy, but I don't know about the "rpc" and stuff? I've heard that term thrown around with altcoins advertising to pool operators. Me and a group of friends (10 ish) just want our own pool because it'd be a fun and interesting thing to do. Basically, gimme a 101 on making a pool :L

Thanks! Smiley
4  Economy / Marketplace / Selling up on: October 17, 2013, 04:09:08 PM
Basically, should I sell up? I've got a blade and a block erupter both mining a range of cryptocurrencies (Mainly PPC, BTC and XJO), but the look of this http://cointerra.com/product/terraminer-iv-2ths-networked-miner-january-batch/ and this http://www.butterflylabs.com/monarch/ don't fill me with confidence for the future. I know butterfly labs isn't known for shipping their items promptly, but even so, when 1TH/s machine like those come around my blade is going to pull in next to nothing and my erupter is as good as scrap metal by my reckoning. What do you guys think? And if I should sell up, when?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoins on the way out? on: October 07, 2013, 04:48:26 PM
I'm unsure of what to do right now. Since the difficulty of bitcoins is hitting the expotential curve and will soon become non-profitable, unless you use solar power or something, what's next? What cryptocurrencies could bring in more profit when bitcoin stops and what coins are sort of "the ones to watch"? I'm mainly interested in SHA-256 coins, but I like scrypt too Smiley I have been looking at PPCoin, but Terracoin seem to be doing well too. Any plans for what you're doing after bitcoins would be helpful too, I'm just trying to make a plan for where to go after bitcoins, what time to go, etc.... Any input welcome Smiley
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Erratic Blade on: September 29, 2013, 12:51:24 PM
I'm running a 300W PSU with two yellow molex wires and four black molex wire going to the blade, as per by following dogie's guide on here. I've got an ethernet cable plugged directly in to the router and the blade. I managed to reach the config page of the blade and change the IP address and pool info to my stratum proxy, but once I refreshed nothing was happening. The blade didn't read that it was hashing and the proxy didn't pick anything up. I rebooted the blade once more only for things to get worse - the blade just sits there, no lights, nothing. I can't reach the config page on neither the custom IP I put in the config nor the default 192.168.1.254:8000. (I didn't change the port from 8000, so it's got to be the same). I had it so close to hashing and now its just stopped doing anything at all. Help?

I had another go at it a moment ago and when I switched the PSU on the blade gave a quick flash of two green lights from the l.e.d behind the ethenet port and then powered everything off, even the PSU. I don't know what is happening...
