https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/microsofts-ion-is-an-open-source-bet-on-bitcoinNajbitnije iz članka: So, for us, Bitcoin was a necessary condition for success. The reason it wasn’t a super hard sell was that it was something we had to have and we knew we couldn’t own it. We wanted something that was differentiated and decentralized — because otherwise we could do this with a database like Azure. Ako želiš decentralizirano, nema alternative Bitcoinu. Ići polucentralizirano je jednostavno razbacivanje resursima. Radije ideš full centralizirano.

Kao sto se vidi, nije bas najbolje. Razmisljam o mogucim razlozima.... Bitstamp nije. Sto mislite, jesam li barem djelomicno u pravu?

Bitstamp Service Temporarily Suspended
We have reason to believe that one of Bitstamp’s operational wallets was compromised on January 4th, 2015.
As a security precaution against compromises Bitstamp only maintains a small fraction of customer bitcoins in online systems. Bitstamp maintains more than enough offline reserves to cover the compromised bitcoins.
IN THE MEANTIME, PLEASE DO NOT MAKE DEPOSITS TO PREVIOUSLY ISSUED BITCOIN DEPOSIT ADDRESSES. THEY CANNOT BE HONORED!
Customer deposits made prior to January 5th, 2015 9:00 UTC are fully covered by Bitstamp’s reserves. Deposits made to newly issued addresses provided after January 5th, 2015 9:00 UTC can be honored.
Bitstamp takes our security and soundness very seriously. In an excess of caution, we are suspending service as we continue to investigate. We will return to service and amend our security measures as appropriate. Japanci opet? Il ce se Slovenci pokazat u boljem svjetlu?

My miner sais i'm hashing 2200Mh/s stable, 0 rejects, 0 errors. Pool reports speeds from 700Mh/s up to 2800Mh/s.
When i look at miner i can see that new block are arriving very fast. Sometimes i have no "accept", in betwean new blocks. Sometimes new block comes in a matter of a seconds. What i'm guessing is that difference is because of all the new blocks. Miner idles betwean two blocks and when new block is found to quick miner needst to wait more etc.
So my question is: 1) Am i right about reasons for such a difference in hashing speed 2) If i am, how can i "fix" it. Is there a way to somehow get jobs preloaded or something like that?

Untill yesterday, every time BTC would fall in price i knew that it will happen or if i didint know in advance i knew why is it happeining. Yesterdays 100$ per BTC fall is in total dark for me. Is it just someone with alot of BTC cashing out (that we really can't know), or is there any other reason behind it?

I read about guy who forgot about his BTC and dumped HDD containing wallet. I'm pretty much sure he's not only one that did stupid mistake like that. That made me wonder...what happens with that BTC. Is it lost forever? Will, with time, certain amount of BTC be lost that way? What do you think what percentage can / will be lost?

Does anyone knows what do i need to have installed to be able to mine litecoins on Mac 10.6.8? I'm using Bitminters java mining program for mining bit coins and i have speed of 98Mhps. Problem is that there is no option in Bitminter for litecoins. I tryed with bfgminer, followed ton of tutorials, installed ton of software (like xcode, brew etc.). I can mine Bitcoins with all of those programs, but as soon as i try --scrypt option to mine litecoins i get errors in all of those programs. I'm assuming there is some piece of software i'm missing on my machine as that same miners work on other computers (Windows and Ubuntu). Can someone help me out and tell me or at least point me in right direction to what i'm missing. Error that i'm getting from bfgminer:
<program source>:723:11:{723:11-723:15}: error: no matching overload found for a rguments of type 'unsigned int __attribute__((ext_vector_type(4))), unsigned in t' w[0] ^= rotl(w[3] +w[2] , 7U); ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ <program source>:124:19: note: instantiated from: #define rotl(x,y) rotate(x,y) ^ /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenCL.framework/Resources/cl_kernel.h:2195:29: note: instantiated from: #define rotate(X,Y) __CLFN_I2(X,Y,rotate)
