2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How many of my fellow bitcoiners do affiliate marketing? on: May 09, 2017, 10:06:17 PM
I recently opened a CPA Affiliate Network and it specializes in cryptocurrency offers along with all the other mainstream ones. I am doing a market research and i'm curious how many of you have dabbled around with affiliate marketing or do it for a living?

I first started affiliate marketing about 13 years ago and it took me awhile to have my first successful campaign. My first successful campaign was doing "Free" ringtones on myspace back when you heard social media you thought of Myspace. Ever since then i've been working at home doing affiliate marketing and running affiliate networks! I'd love to hear of other peoples stories related along the lines of affiliate marketing!

What is a CPA Network?:
AffBits runs on the principle of cost-per-action, or sometimes cost-per-acquisition, generally know as CPA. CPA means: The advertiser chooses a commercial activity that is the goal of an advertising campaign, e.g. an install, a registration, or a sale. If this action happens, a pre-set price will be paid to the Affiliate who’s forwarded the customer.  The logic: Only success leads to commercial reward. Compared to this, Cost-per-Click (CPC) networks award a price to each click on an advertising material, regardless of the consequence of this click. Completely based on visibility, CPM means cost-per-thousand (mille is the Latin word for 1,000) impressions, which means advertisers pay simply for the fact that their campaign was displayed.

What type of offers do you have?:
We carry offers from the top paying advertisers out on the market for the top 50+ countries. The offers are - CryptoCurrency, Payday, Bizop, Email Submit, Zip Submit, Mobile Installs, Diet, Supplements, Dating, Incentive etc...

8  Economy / Digital goods / Is a Default Trust account worth anything special? on: September 11, 2016, 05:13:30 AM
I was wondering if there is a much of a market for a Default Trust account? I want to sell mine but I am too afraid of what would happen if it went into the wrong hands. I figured it'd be worth creating a thread first to get some solid advice from the good ole members of BCT before doing anything I am going to regret. Thanks ahead of time!

I was wondering if there is a much of a market for a Default Trust account?

No, there's not much market because most DT users value their own account.

I want to sell mine but I am too afraid of what would happen if it went into the wrong hands.

Then don't. Most users who want to buy a DT account can't be trusted.

Perfect thanks! That is exactly what I needed to hear!

The account will not be sold to anyone, thank you for the advice longbob72 as that was exactly what I was looking for.

10  Bitcoin / Armory / Hard fork procedures on: May 29, 2015, 07:43:57 PM
Hi there:

Could someone from Armory let us know how the proposed hard fork might or might not affect us users? Will Armory continue to run if we switch to BitcoinXT? Is there anything we'll need to do specifically to ensure we're on the chain we choose to be on?

Thanks.
11  Bitcoin / Armory / Armory disconnects when trying to send on: April 14, 2015, 06:08:36 PM
Hi everyone:

I posted this to the Armory website over a week ago, but still no reply, so I thought I'd give it a try here:

This problem has been happening more and more often lately, hoping you can help.

Running Bitcoin Core 0.9.3 and Armory 0.92.3.

More often than not, when I try to send BTC, I get an error message from the tray icon that says "Connection to Bitcoin-QT lost! Armory cannot send or receive bitcoins". A second later, the connection is re-established, but the BTC were never sent.

If I try a different amount, or different combinations, I can sometimes get around it.

If I rescan and rebuild the databases the problem usually will go away (though only for a few days, then it comes back). But spending hours rebuilding the databases every time I want to send BTC somewhat defeats the purpose of the whole thing.

What's going on?
12  Bitcoin / Armory / Problem sending transactions, not accepted by the network, please help. on: November 14, 2014, 03:10:34 PM
Hi there:

This has happened several times today. I try to send a transaction, just like always, as soon as I enter the password, the Armory icon on my tray shows a message that says: Disconnected from Bitcoin QT, then immediately shows another that says Reconnected to Bitcoin QT, but then Armory shows me the following message, and the transaction never goes through:

The transaction you have executed does not appear to have been accepted by the Bitcoin network. This can happen for a number of reasons, but it's usually a bug in the Armory software.

The message continues (it's quite long) suggesting the message itself might be a bug, and that I should check the transaction on the blockchain first, then check the troubleshooting section of the Armory website.

Please help.
13  Bitcoin / Armory / Armory won't open. Help! on: October 22, 2014, 04:36:55 PM
So last night I tried running my online Armory, and I got an error message directing me to the log file, which read:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "ArmoryQt.py", line 32, in <module>
File "armoryengine.pyc", line 498, in <module>
File "armoryengine.pyc", line 480, in chopLogFile
MemoryError

I tried running it in offline mode, but the same thing happened.

I tried deleting the databases, no joy.

I tried installing a newer version of Armory, no joy.

I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling both older and newer versions, no joy.

I opened a ticket through the Armory website, but they must be busy, because... no joy.

Running on a Windows 7 machine with 8 gigs of ram that are apparently healthy.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
14  Bitcoin / Armory / Does Armory time out after a while? on: November 29, 2013, 08:33:11 PM
Hi there:

Running Armory 0.87, and sometimes, when I haven't maximized it for a while, it starts again from scratch as if it had shut down on its own.

Is this a time-out function within Armory? Why would it shut down?
