1  Economy / Scam Accusations / [Warning] betroar.io referral commission on: January 17, 2020, 07:38:14 AM
What happened:: So around last November 21st I stumbled upon the betroar.io thread and was impressed by their 'generous' referral commission system and bonus for new referrals so I decided to advertise their business in my signature space. Fast forward a week later I had gained a few referrals from the forum and one in particular was a heavy bettor making about 0.012BTC in total commission just by themselves. By the way the site was riddled with critical bugs and still is (just goes to show about the level of professionalism and expertise of the people running it) and I even reported to them about the issue I had found. After that I inquired about how and when I am supposed to get my referral commission because there is no way to do it yourself on the commission page on the website as it's just a shoddy spreadsheet page showing referral bets - time of making the bet and the amount. Oh and trying to contact the non-existent customer support on the website is just the tip of the iceberg. Good luck with that! Bitbrawlers rep on the forum went into radio silence right after that moment despite being online to tend to their thread and answer questions. They surely had no time to answer trivial questions about paying commission. Another fast fast forward to the new year and their 'official' launch a couple days ago and - oh it's a miracle! - the commission page is updated with the total commission amount. Being completely overwhelmed by the displayed technological advancement and programming prowess over the holiday break I decided to contact Bitbrawlers rep and inquire again about what's up with the owed commission. They finally 'added' themselves the amount to my account however conveniently forgot to remove the rollover requirements so now I have to bet 1.32408290 BTC in order to withdraw.

Additional Notes: My advice is to steer clear of their bugged website and trashy business practices. If you deposit your own funds there is a high chance your withdrawals will be postponed for uncertain amount of time for manual review or outright denied for whatever circumstances they can find. 2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrency sponsorships in professional sports on: July 25, 2018, 10:58:24 AM
So, with the increased popularity of Bitcoin among investors and sports enthusiasts some professional sports teams and athletes have landed crypto sponsorships which I think is a great way of spreading the word about the crypto revolution worldwide. Elite sports leagues have a huge fan base and attract millions of viewers every year so the crypto industry as a whole can reach a lot of prospective crypto users all over the world. For example, football is probably the most popular sport in the world and the Premier League is one of the most watched championships and a Polish cryptocurrency exchange CoinDeal has opted to become jersey sponsors of the newly promoted club Wolverhampton Wanderers. Arsenal signed a deal with US cryptocurrency gaming platform CashBet Coin in January, too.
Some professional players are promoting crypto projects as well. Lionel Messi is advertising the world's first mass-produced blockchain phone,
James Rodriguez has issued his own cryptocurrency asset, and Eden Hazard and Sergio Aguero endorse a company making a sports industry blockchain.

Do you think crypto companies are soon going to replace traditional sponsors like fiat casinos and sportsbooks or airline companies, car manufacturers etc.?

Hey guys anyone interested in the International Champions Cup? It's starting on Saturday July 21st with the match between Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund on Soldier Field stadium in Chicago. The tournament will feature some of the top ranked European clubs and football stars. You can see the club crests of the participating teams below on this image:

There are specific rules for this tournament and you can familiarize yourselves by checking out the official website : https://www.internationalchampionscup.com/en/territories/eu/men/international-champions-cup

I know we shouldn't take such commercialized tournaments too seriously as the games can be completely unpredictable, but it doesn't hurt to follow our favorite teams and have a punt or 2 just for fun  Wink

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin in mainstream media ( latest episode of Silicon Valley ) on: May 08, 2018, 05:50:31 PM
Hey guys have you seen the latest episode of the popular TV show Silicon Valley? I don't want to give out any spoilers by the way. In short it's about starting an ICO to raise money, the creator of Bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto and also there was a clever throwback to the English IT guy who threw away his hard drive with lots of Bitcoins on a dump site and made the news some years back. I really enjoyed that episode and made me smile a lot. It's so nice to see Bitcoin featured in the media.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Sweden's Coin (E-Krona) on: April 24, 2018, 02:18:13 PM
Hey there guys. I would like to ask if anyone has already bought some of these coins and if you did, what was your experience? The official Kryptonexlabs website looks a bit fishy to me, information about the project is very scarce and there is just one bland single page. Is the government of Sweden really behind this coin? Honestly all this reeks of another ICO scam to me. I would appreciate your comments about the E-Krona. Should we buy or not? Thanks.

P.S. Any Swedes here with local knowledge would be awesome  Cheesy
7  Other / Off-topic / A 36-year-old accountant played half a period for the Chicago Blackhawks on: March 31, 2018, 06:01:19 AM
I just wanted to share this amazing story about a guy named Scott Foster who played for the Chicago Blackhawks as an emergency backup goalie some days ago.
The guy works as an accountant and after work he was called in to attend the Blackhawks game and in the 3rd period entered the rink after Colin Delia had to leave the game due to cramping. A dream come true  Grin

11  Economy / Digital goods / [WTB] Antivirus activation code 2017 ver. on: April 06, 2017, 06:44:18 PM
Hi guys, I am in the market for an antivirus or internet security suite activation code for a 2017 version preferably till the end of the year. It would be great if you could provide me with a code for any of the 3 - NOD32, Kaspersky or Bitdefender. I don't want any cracked, stolen or taken from the Internet activation codes though. I need it for personal use so if you want to part with your own key and can provide proof of purchase I will happily take it from you in exchange for Bitcoin.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Prop Bets on: February 13, 2017, 07:06:49 PM
Hello guys. I am starting a thread dedicated to posting prop bets which is a novelty in Bitcoin sportsbetting and it's generally lots of fun. Prop bets are supplementary to your main bets and more often than not represent a great value that can surpass your expectations with great odds.

I will be posting the prop bets some minutes before the kick-off time of the matches when the line-ups become available. You will have some time to shop around the different markets and follow my picks or choose your own.

In the meantime you can visit Sportsbet.io where the action will be happening and familiarize yourself with the interface before you start prop betting.

Please remember these prop bets are for entertainment purposes only to make the games a little bit more exciting to watch so bet only what you can afford to lose.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Sportsbooks supporting alt coins on: February 10, 2017, 10:21:29 AM
Hey guys with the current Bitcoin price hike I think it's time to venture out into alt coin betting territory when you are gambling on a budget Cheesy I am looking for Bitcoin sportsbooks that support betting with alt coins and preferably have live betting as well. If you could mention some alternatives to DirectBet would be very much appreciated. Please note that I am looking for Bitcoin sportsbooks only and not stand-alone casino/dice sites.
Thanks.

15  Economy / Reputation / Official Tribunal for Forum Trust Abuse on: December 14, 2016, 11:50:43 AM
It has come to my attention that certain people are using their Default Trust privileges to act as judge, jury, and executioner without knowing all the facts and jump to conclusions based on their own assumptions. We, as a community, have the right to defend ourselves when we are the victims of false, uncalled for and baseless allegations. I have decided to found a tribunal where people who feel that they have been wronged in the past or are currently being harassed by such individuals, could present their cases and provide proof for being the targets of injustice.
Unjust treatment of forum members is a violation of their rights and this should not be tolerated. If you feel scared of getting negative feedback attached to your account for standing up for yourself you can write here. Stop letting people walk all over you just because they feel like they can.

Tribunal Mechanics

The Tribunal is not intended to issue punishments to violators of trust abuse. The sole purpose of the Tribunal is to review cases, assess and validate the information contained in the reports.
Victims of trust abuse should collect as many details as possible before submitting their cases here. The information should be arranged chronologically so as to be easier to follow. The list of events (screenshots, quotes, PMs, links etc.) must be presented in a clear, concise and to the point manner.
Only appeal before the Tribunal if you believe you have the evidence to support your claims. You can request a formal change to your trust rating only if you are sure you have been accused wrongfully and you can defend your case successfully.
If you know your trust ratings are justified, simply don't appeal here. Another failure will most likely make it worse for you.

This is a work in progress and the thread will be expanded upon.

I have also a case in the pipeline which is my own.
16  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Exodus multi-asset Bitcoin wallet on: October 05, 2016, 06:20:32 PM
Hey guys,

so I was checking my emails today and stumbled upon this marketing email from ShapeShift about some new Bitcoin wallet which has the functionality of an exchange site built-in so people don't need to leave the wallet to convert between coins. I was very impressed by this statement and went on to check the Exodus wallet official website. I liked the simple but beautiful UI and decided to download it and give it a try. However I am kinda worried about putting too many coins on this new software because I am not sure if it has been audited yet and it seems it contains closed-source code. Has anyone else used this Exodus wallet or are you familiar with its advantages or disadvantages compared to other more established wallets? And most importantly - is it safe to use it?

Thank you for your insight.

Hello ladies and gentlemen.

20  Economy / Reputation / Mr. Lutpin and the Betcoin incident on: August 03, 2016, 10:38:12 AM
Okay so I would like to publicly ask whether or not Mr. Lutpin and his cohorts are going to fulfill this threatening post because I don't want to be the subject of abuse for something I have no control over:

Mr. Lutpin's words:

Quote
I consider leaving negative feedback for advertising betcoin.ag, a company deeply in trouble currently,
with many unresolved scam accusations, a yet not completely resolved upset about a jackpot including BetSoft, which resulted in a player receiving several houndreds BTC less than he was due, with a way to avoid questions that could make them look worse, with a way to answer to my questions that essentially says "give negs to others aswell, if you give us".

Yes I like the terms of Betcoin's signature campaign and no I don't play on their site so why should I be moving when I am happy with where I am now?

So what's it gonna be because I don't want to wake up to retaliatory negative feedback? I don't condone arm-twisting either.

Are you going through with that threat or not?

Answer now so current & future members will know what to do.
