SOLD

2  Economy / Currency exchange / 1.4 BTC for Quick Sale on: August 25, 2014, 03:19:35 AM
Had enough of Bitcoin now so am selling my last bit of BTC (1.4 BTC).

I would prefer to meet in person for the sale (Chiang Mai, Thailand) but would accept PayPal on the following conditions -> You Send, I withdraw, when withdraw completes on PayPal I send BTC.

Have some good trust if that's worth anything.

I want a quick sale so will sell for Bitstamp minus 5%.

Please pm me with offers (only offers pertaining to the above will be responded to).

Cheers

EDIT: Please read and re-read the text in bold.

EDIT 2: SOLD IN PERSON

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why people price things in fiat but want BTC - choose one or the other on: August 07, 2014, 11:29:16 AM
I've seen loads of topics of people trying to sell things and saying I want x amount of dollars worth of BTC. Surely if someone is so keen on the idea of Bitcoin fiat shouldn't even be mentioned.

They should be prepared in certain instances to take a fiat loss for their beliefs.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Desperately need 'PROPER' way to buy BTC on: August 05, 2014, 12:03:27 PM
I've been following BTC for over a year now and STILL there is no easy way to buy bitcoins in what the vast majority of people would class as being a normal way to pay.

It is very frustrating and prevents a broader take up.

Virwox doesn't count - the fees are too high.
Bank transfer is not a normal way to pay for things - I wouldn't use bank transfer to exchange $ to £ for instance.

Bitcoin is being hindered shocking - hopefully it will change soon.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin vs Precious Metals on: August 05, 2014, 06:54:02 AM
I'm a firm believer of sound money, especially gold/silver just wondering how people think this compares to Bitcoin. I do have a few BTC but only really to take advantage of a price move up so I can get more metal. I don't like the intangible nature of Bitcoin and not being so tech savvy it would be a concern having a lot of wealth stored in it. Ideas?
7  Other / Meta / Define spam and insubstantial posts...... on: August 04, 2014, 08:07:48 AM
I was very shocked when I learned 14 days ago that I had lost my right to post for those 14 days for 'spam and insubstantial posts'.

This is nonsense, I have never spammed at least in the sense of what I think spam is also how is a post of say 15 words insubstantial if that is all that is required to get a point across?

I of course don't want this to happen again - how many words is OK in a post for it not to be classed as insubstantial?Huh
8  Economy / Lending / An absurd policy on: July 20, 2014, 10:19:08 AM
Firstly I have no interest in getting a loan!

I like to scan through the site and have been reading lots of topics of people offering loans demanding 120% collateral, while it is up to the lender to create the terms it just seems to be a risk free way to lend - I am of the understanding that it is the lender who should take the risk, hence why charging interest.

Just my (worthless) opinion.

9  Other / MultiBit / Import private key shows only one tx on: February 07, 2014, 09:32:48 AM
I sent from multibit BTC 4 times to a paper wallet.

Tried to import private key back to multibit and only imported the last transaction, all the dates are correct.

Any ideas why this is and if it's possible to fix?
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How are fees channelled to miners? on: January 29, 2014, 08:06:17 PM
I haven't seen this question raised before.

How are tx fees actually distributed to miners?

 Huh
11  Economy / Currency exchange / (WTS) 0.54 BTC - Cash only in BKK on: January 27, 2014, 06:30:42 AM

12  Economy / Goods / (WTS) 1 Baht Gold Bar on: January 24, 2014, 08:30:44 AM
EDIT2: OK I will accept escrow. But will only sell to very, very trusted members.

I have a 1 Baht Thai gold bar for sale - (96.5%). Total weight is 15.244 grams.

I will accept 20,600 THB in either THB or BTC. THB can be sent via WU. International shipping can be either by EMS or DHL and you have to cover the fees for this.

I'm not accepting escrow for this sale and will not ship until I have the funds on hand.

I can get more of these, different designs and different weights from 0.5 Baht up to 10 Baht bars.

Buying Thai gold is one of the cheapest ways to pay as close to spot as possible for even the smallest bars.

Please see pics below and post on here if your interested.

EDIT: I would prefer payment in THB - Prices in BTC will be 15% more expensive.

13  Other / MultiBit / Import BIP 38 Encrypted Private Key in the MultiBit on: January 14, 2014, 06:40:49 AM
Subject says it all.

How does one go about importing a BIP 38 Encrypted Private Key in the MultiBit?

Have successfully dabbled in importing unencrypted keys but looking for the added security for long term storage.

 Huh
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Transaction times on: January 09, 2014, 08:43:44 AM
I have read numerous times about people saying that the transaction times for BTC are unacceptable for everyday life.

However if I receive a payment in my wallet it will show up as being seen by x amount of peers as soon as it's been sent - once this has happened, obviously it's not confirmed, what could happen to make this payment not successful? Could this pending transaction not be seen as being good enough for say shop owners to release goods to the buyer?

 Huh

16  Economy / Scam Accusations / How to get blatently inaccurate trust rating removed? on: January 09, 2014, 04:04:31 AM
So - I responded to an ad on this forum - the guy claiming to have 1 BTC to sell and would take PayPal.

I contacted him and because of my refusal to send first, my insistence on using escrow for a different method of payment - and perhaps mainly my lack of stupidity in not falling for his scam he left me a negative trust - how can I get this removed as it is so wrong?

I have all the pm's to back this up.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Physical Coin Creation - Private Key Issue on: January 07, 2014, 06:46:42 AM
I have pondered on the idea of having some physical coins made - a short run initially to see if there is demand. I'm not US based so don't have to be concerned about the recent US issues.

My main concern is private key security.

Is there an easy way for me to produce the coins, load them and ship them WITHOUT me having any access or ability to redeem the coins and without the buyer knowing the private key without peeling off the hologram?

I want people to be able to buy a coin knowing that they don't have to rely on trust alone.

I also want people to be able to sell their coins and their buyers knowing that both the coin producer and the initial owner have no access to the actual BTC without tampering with the coin.

Is this possible?

 Huh
