1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / WTS 1000 PART for 7 BTC on: July 18, 2017, 03:34:58 AM
Hi all. As you all know Particl has been successfully launched today. I'm selling 1000 PART for 7 BTC before it hits its first exchange.
2  Other / Meta / SuperNET has been moved to Marketplace (Altcoins) section for some reason on: September 28, 2014, 08:22:57 AM
Could any moderator please tell us why SuperNET thread has been moved from Announcements (Altcoins) to Marketplace (Altcoins)?

It's not some kind of asset, it's a very complicated and promising software which will allow lots of great stuff. The network will contain several crypto systems in its core.

Moderators might be confused because part of ICO money will be used for investing in different cryptocurrencies and assets, but it has nothing to do with Supernetwork itself.

We have just started The Bounty List. If you didn't find anything you're interested in just open it time to time, maybe later you'll find a bounty just for you.
Also we are open to any suggestions. If you have something in mind and you can work on it, just name the price.
Bounties are not final. If you're ready to do something, but want more coins, then again, just name your price.

Main thread

The Client v9.0
  • Look for the last version in the main thread.

We're glad to annouce automated Qora giveaway. We built a script that will be checking the signature in your account and send you coins every week.
You'll be receiving coins as long as you have the signature. Only accounts with Activity 28 and higher are eligable.
If you have Activity lower than 28, you can get 20 free coins from the faucet — http://coinia.net/qora/faucet.php
Do not post addresses in this thread. Such posts will be deleted and you won't receive any coins.

To start receiving coins just make 3 simple steps.

1.
Add one of two signatures to your account (Profile/Forum Profile Information/Signature) and replace "your-qora-address" with your actual Qora address.
You won't be receiving more coins if you add both signatures.
URLs in signatures are forbidden for Newbies accounts, that's why there are two different signatures.
Your signature can contain any other information you want, you don't need to replace it with Qora info.

Code:
[url=coinia.net/Q]QORA | 2ND GEN | NEW SOURCE CODE[/url] | your-qora-address
Code:
QORA|NEW CODE|your-qora-address

Reward for the signature with URL — 1000 Qora per week - Signature reward program is closed for now. Thanks a lot for participation, everyone!
Reward for the signature with plain text — 250 Qora per week - Signature reward program is closed for now. Thanks a lot for participation, everyone!

2.
Open http://coinia.net/qora/sign.php, enter your account ID and click OK.
You can find your account ID in URL. Just click at your nickname and you'll see your ID.
For example here's mine: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=176058

3.
Check information on the next page and click OK again. That's it! You'll be receiving 1000 or 250 coins a week depending on a signature you added to your profile.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Trading Thread of Qora :: Second Generation Coin on: May 16, 2014, 09:23:42 PM

Welcome to the trading thread of Qora, the second generation coin!

Qora is a new crypto-currency designed from the ground up to solve Bitcoin’s biggest problems while also adding new promising features. Qora is being built from scratch and will not rely on any other crypto-currency. Qora uses a new proof-of-stake algorithm making it future-proof. Qora is being developed in Java and relies on native C libraries to perform the most CPU intensive tasks.

Basically, there are only three real competitors on the market: Qora, Nxt and Bitcoin.

Main thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=522102.0

Technical details
• Algorithm: 100% POS
• 10'000'000'000 coins

Features
• Ed25519 DSA to verify and sign messages.
• 1-5 minute block time depending on the network activity.
• Retargeting every 10 blocks.
• Password protected wallets that can be recovered/generated from seeds.
• New Proof-of-Stake algorithm.
• A JSON RPC API to directly communicate with the client.
• Naming Service: Allows the user to register a key-value pair which can be used for various purposes (URLS, addresses, …)
This Naming Service will also include an exchange where users can buy and sell keys.
• Colored Coins/Assets.
• Arbitrary Transactions: A simple feature which allows users to send any payload they want over the network. This can be used by third-parties to build additional features on top of Qora (data storage, chat).
• Transaction Boosting: Higher transaction processing speed by not having to broadcast the transactions to the whole network.

Possible Features
• Anonymous transactions/Zerocoin: One of the biggest problems of Bitcoin is of course that every transaction is traceable. Currently Zerocoin is the most promising project which is trying to solve that problem in a decentralized way.
• Cross Blockchain trading.
• Finite Blockchain/Blockchain shrinking.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / NEM Distribution on: February 01, 2014, 04:57:22 AM
Some users think that NEM - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=440185.0 - distribution is not fair because someone could created hundreds bitcointalk accounts to have more stakes and end up with having up to 25% of all coins. How do you feel about open your real world identity for receiving your stake if it helps to reveal scammers and prevent them to have more then 2-3 stakes?
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Q1/Q2 ASIC miners, will they ever break even? on: December 05, 2013, 12:29:11 AM
There are lots of group buys for miners with delivery date somewhere next year. But according to these calculations even a couple of weeks matter http://www.vnbitcoin.org/bitcoincalculator.php

Is there something I don't understand, or most people doesn't know about difficulty growing? Or everybody who takes part in group buys for Q1/Q2 miners believes that bitcoin also going to grow with difficulty increase? The last month of Q2 is June, what if miners won't be delivered until then?
