About
Qora is a new 2nd generation cryptocurrency designed from the ground up to solve Bitcoin’s biggest problems while also adding new promising features.
Qora is being built from scratch and will not rely on any other crypto-currency.
Qora uses a new proof-of-stake algorithm making it future-proof.
Qora is being developed in Java and relies on native C libraries to perform the most CPU intensive tasks.
Qora relied on an IPO for initial distribution of the supply. The total amount of Qora in existence is 10'000'000'000 (10 Billion).
One Qora has 8 digits after the decimal point.

Download
Make sure you download the latest version currently v18.

Ed25519 DSA to verify and sign messages.
1-5 minute block time depending on the network activity.
Retargeting every 10 blocks.
Password protected wallets that can be recovered/generated from seeds.
New Proof-of-Stake algorithm.
A JSON RPC API to directly communicate with the client.
Naming Service: allows the user to register a key-value pair which can be used for various purposes (URLS, addresses, …).
This Naming Service will also include an exchange where users can buy and sell keys.

Voting System: Allows voting inside the client to make community decisions such as which feature will be implemented next.
Colored Coins/Assets.
Arbitrary Transactions: a simple feature which allows users to send any payload they want over the network.
This can be used by third-parties to build additional features on top of Qora (data storage, chat).

Transaction Boosting: higher transaction processing speed by not having to broadcast the transactions to the whole network.

Possible Features
Anonymous transactions/Zerocoin One of the biggest problems of Bitcoin is of course that every transaction is traceable.
Currently Zerocoin is the most promising project which is trying to solve that problem in a decentralized way.
Cross Blockchain trading
Finite Blockchain/Blockchain shrinking

5)   New Proof-of-Stake algorithm.

Could you please elaborate?

A Proof-of-Stake algorithm that is different from anything that is described here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Proof_of_Stake.

The algorithm will allow accounts to start generating blocks after only 10 confirmations.
Each account will also know at exactly which point they will generate the next block.

Do not send BTC. Good day.

+1.

Obvious scam is obvious.

Lots of talk of development, but absolutely nothing to show for it. The best you'll get is some questionable screenshots. Be prepared to lose your BTC if you invest.

screenshots

Screenshots prove nothing. Many an IPO scam has had screenshots.

The bare minimum for any IPO should be a well known escrow service provider to hold the BTC. This is a bare minimum, and any IPO that refuses should be immediately questioned.

We do not have any problem to use an escrow service for the IPO.

For us there are no trusted bitcoin escrow services so that is a problem.
Please tell us which escrow service you would like to use.

Please note that there will be a public beta before the IPO ends so you can always wait.

Currently we are working on the GUI I will show more details about the GUI soon.

There are no bounties available at this point.
There will only be bounties when after the launch users didn't collect their funds in time.

can you atleast give some screenshots so we can see what you are actually working on

I have added some screenshots to the first post.

How about the escrow?
That would go a long way towards proving your legitimacy.

I advise no one to invest until escrow has been established.

Care to elaborate what makes this not-yet-another-NXT-clone?

This is nxt with features renamed? Please confirm or clarify.

This is a completely new source that is not a fork of any other crypto-currency.
Although there are some similarities in the features the implementation will be different.
I haven't followed nxt that much but as far as I understand the development was paid and will stop in a week?
