I emailed them with this a few weeks ago: I'm running two radeon 5830's however I have found no way to successfully
modify voltage, clock or memory on both cards, just the first one...this
is an extreme disadvantage since in MSI afterburner at least I can do both
cards, but if I want to slightly modify voltage on both I have no way of
doing so. Is there anything I can do to change both cards voltage and
clocks using Trixx? This would help me a lot as I am able to overclock
this card highly, I just need to be able to do it on both of them instead
of just the first.
I went out and bought a crossfire connector but it still doesn't work on
both cards even with crossfire enabled.

When I got started with mining, it seemed like it was going nowhere but up. Now it seems headed in the opposite direction. I thought this currency was supposed to gain value, not lose it? Is it not becoming rarer, and thus more valuable?

I've heard it's possible to fill this slot. Wouldn't the 2x channels be filled and reduce mining performance?
Say I bought a pci-e extender and cut it to fit in a pci-e 2x slot. Would I really have no problem running 3 cards? What if there was a 6990 in the pci-e 2x slot? Is anyone else using this method?

What is causing my CPU to get so hot? What can I do about it? Using DiabloMiner with the following parameters (anybody know what -g does?):
DiabloMiner-Windows.exe -u xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -p x -o mining.eligius.st -r 8337 -g 5 -v 2 -w 128 -D1
If anyone is wondering I have a core i7 920 with stock cooling. Before anyone gives me a lecture on stock cooling, I'm not going through the trouble of switching out my CPU cooler unless I absolutely have to. That said, I'm looking for "intensity" parameters I can possibly change to reduce CPU load.

Since the price is now around ~17.00, does that mean we're back to an earlier difficulty? I just got a 5850 going @ 350mh/s in addition to my 5830 pair @ ~550tot so it's kind of hard to tell, but it seems like I've been getting a lot of BTC today.
If not, if the price remains low, does that mean it will eventually reset to an earlier difficulty?

Most won't, some will. At any rate, smaller pools will gain more power and deepbit will lose some. We must accept this and each do our part now. Personally, I am doing it, because I am NOT ignorant enough to turn a blind eye to a real problem.

Basically, my sister dug around and pulled out an old AMD mobo with an athlon FX-62. It takes DDR (not even DDR2) but has 2 pcie slots. I got it to post earlier which I'm really excited about.
The motherboard is an ABR32 MVP (socket 939).
Can I expect this to perform decently? What cards should I get that are under a $450 price point together and can actually be found? I'm hoping to get at least 750mhash/s out of it.

Really trying to figure this out. I finally got Sapphire Trixx to apply OC to both cards, only when I enabled crossfire, the voltage meter magically turned into a % value and I can no longer overvolt them... Before, it showed it in number of volts and allowed me to adjust it.
I spent a lot of money getting this watercooling set up so I could push my 5830's to their limit and now there's no way for me to do it. But, other users here seem to have both 5830's overvolted fine.
What am I doing wrong? What software will allow me to overvolt/oc both 5830's?

Hi all, I have a pair of radeon 5830's mining at about 600mhash/s. I was able to overclock the first card using Sapphire Trixx to 1020mhz/1.23v, however, it won't modify the clock freqs on the second card!
Does anyone know a solution for this? The program states that you should use Crossfire if you want to implement an overclock on both cards. I tried crossfire and even with crossfire enabled the OC is only on the first card (confirmed with GPU-Z). Who can help me get this OC working and hopefully hit 700 or 800mhash/s by the time I'm done tweaking it?

What's wrong with this picture? I've been mining on various pools for 2 days and have a 0 balance, though at least 2 pools have reported payout. I've tried running bitcoin.exe with -rescan and I'm mining at the moment with phoenix on deepbit pool. 600mhash/s with my two 5830's oc'd and I'd really like to see the coins rolling in  |
