I'm trying to make a trading bot using php which also uses some indicators for custom strategies. I would like to know how to calculate/compute a OHLCV Data-Array from today current History. I'm using CEX.io API for my first trials as some time ago I already was using it and I think the functions provided should be adoptable to other exchanges as well.

I would like to record all trade-data history and append today's recent trade history as OHLCV on top. I think the trade-history feed has all data required, but I don't know how to compute reduced f.e. data1m array from trade-history data.

Does anyone how such chart-data is generated? Thanks in advice.

I recently had to change vps ip addresses (for some technical reasons by the vps company). I already reconfigured linux network-interfaces and changed "externalip" to the new ip for my wallet/masternodes and masternode.conf.

All masternodes currently are complaining an error like this and therefore stopped working!

Not capable masternode: Broadcasted IP doesn't match our external address. Make sure you issued a new broadcast if IP of this masternode changed recently.

I also tried for some coins supporting broadcasts with this API-Command:
masternodebroadcast create-all

But actually non of them are going back to ENABLED.

What else can I try? Will I have to reconfigure new masternodes from scratch for all masternodes them?! Where else is the old vps ip-address stored?

I hope this is the right place for generic question regarding running a PoS coin masternode with more than one "node" in masternode.conf. I've tried with Nyxcoin - but after some research this seems to be a generic question/problem at all?
I had running a single masternode/wallet fine for month. I tried to add another node by adding additional IP address and second genkey, tx-hash/output into masternode.conf.

At first it looks like working fine. In my case I was able to fetch node-status'es by using API-Command "masternode list-conf". First node went to ENABLED very quick. Second node (using different IP!) struggles between PRE_ENABLED and WATCHDOG_EXPIRED.

I left it running some days - even tried restarting the daemon and so on without getting ENABLED state for second masternode. Generally I suppose it should be possible. The debug.log also mentions second masternode-ip broadcasting as well. And even the API-Commands "suggest" it should be possible by commands like masternode start-all" or "start-many" which implies there could be more than one node in a single wallet.

Does anyone have an idea? Alternatively is it possible anyhow to "share" blockchain-data" between two wallet/node instances to avoid having two separate directories consuming double space for same data (which can become a few GBs for coins that succeed for some years ...).

I'm a Web-Developer and really interested in Blockchain/Wallet stuff. I really would like to develop some kind of own Wallet/Blockchain with masternode. I also know simply I could "fork" any existing. But I think of something more than that by giving the Blockchain/Masternode some kind of useful application for real-world that can be "processed" by (master)nodes and can be paid by consumers using the coin itself.

I already did some research and also had a look into a very interesting project how to code own blockchain using NodeJS. but in fact I know NodeJS may not be the right language to have a solid blockchain/wallet application as it has limitations in performance.

I currently have PHP and some C# and NodeJS skills. For my sake I'm not really a C++ geek indeed I can read some lines of codes or do some minor modifications as required and not too complicated.

Is there any kind of developer-framework for NodeJS or C# which could be used to simplify the whole thing at all? I think some kind of library or "skelleton" that already provides a simple wallet/blockchain that can be customified by altering algorythm and so on, but already provides the working concept and an JSON-API compatible to existing defacto standards (JSON-API already used by most of all wallet-daemons).

Anyone has an idea for this or is C++ the only way to get something work?

I build myself some Ideas how a project could be started to monitor trust of mining-pools. I got scammed myself now (luckily not a very large amount at all) by the mining pool cryptoally.net as their owner seem to be just scamming/frauding the pool-users without paying out.

So I've started to think about how this could be avoided. May be a project could be started that will monitor the pool payout by their payout-adresses traceable in blockchain?

If one nows the average min.payout of the pool and traces the period of payouts given by sender-address in blockchain this could be one possible indicator for trustness.

Another possible tool would be some kind of mediation-tool provided. Pool users could send in complain-reports for f.e. pending/missing payouts which are always public visible. The pool owner will get a notice of this in order to give a statement on this. If there is no response within a given time by the pool owner this could be another negative indicator for trustiness.


Are there more suggestions on such a web project? Is there any interest on such a tool or I am currently the only one thinking this could be a great project for every miner looking for solid trustworthiness of mining-pools?

Any critics or feedback are welcome. I hope each of them with good ideas and improvements, too ;-)

I've tried to analyse this. Until now I've been looking for any official news on their webpage or twitter regarding any technical issue with their wallet/payout that could explain their behaving not sending out payments. There is no official news known - whereas in the meantime they still promote their pool with updates in news/twitter.

I also tried contacting the Cryptoally-Team by Twitter, Contact-Form (on their homepage) and in this forum to their profile https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=843582 by PM. Until now without any response by them.


I only can advice any user to avoid this pool until there is a clear statement by the cryptoally team and users that can confirm their pending payouts are send to their wallets!

I've noticed nomp has a lot of forks. Some of them fix things or missed algo or simply upgraded to more recent nodejs-versions. Can anyone suggest a good and recent version/fork or anything else than nomp?
My wish-pool would be a very small and simple one providing only the stratum/pool functionality, may be a simple example-frontend (like nomp already has) and the rest provided as API to get the data in any custom web-frontend for myself.

The software should be flexible enough to add custom coins and if possible new algos as well (is there any npm library that covers most of them?!). Multi-Pool feature like nomp would be nice to have. But I'm also open to set-up a clone of each pool for themselfes.
I'm also open for any DIY npm-libs that are well documented and explain how to code a simple stratum/pool for myself would be georgeous, too (I'm self employed as developer and someone just "tries to learn from scratch").

I'm happy for any feedback and recommendations.

Which pool-software to use for multi-pool setup? At first mpos came in mind, but the developers state nor to support single-sign-on nor multiple-coins using single instance or to develop some kind of "single-sign-on" and unified templating for multiple mpos instances.

I'm thinking about a Web-Interface to manage multiple wallets with info on staking/mining/masternode. Personally I've compiled and setup about 10 wallets on my private VPS now primarily for testing on some staking/masternode rewards

I'm love linux and shell - so in my case there's no "GUI" and all wallets also run headless on shell only. I already made myself some "handy" skripts to get a simple text-table for info of wallets online/offline and their balance. Now I think a web-gui (of course ideally running on ssl and secure login and optional ip/ip-range lock) would make the whole thing much more comfortable. I think the "web-gui" should be flexible in adding multiple (also new) wallet/coins by having configuration on wallet-path, rpc-port, credentials and so on. Some kind of "Dashboard" (showing all current assets like exodus-wallet), graphs indicating balance, detected blocks, staking/mining/masternode rewards, may be current exchange rates (btc,eur,usd) and so on would be a great thing to have a full overview.

Is there anything like that already I've not found there out in the open-source world to manage a bunch of wallets with info on current balance, staking-info, masternode-info (each depending as supported by configured wallet of course).

If there isn't known anything like that to be setup by crypto/blockchain enthusiasts. Are there any other users like this idea? Programming is my business - so I'm thinking about developing such a thing may be on php+laravel or nodeJs (not shure yet any other coder likes to give me some pro/con on that?).

I'm testing my first masternode using Arcticcoin (there it is called "goldminenode") and 1000.00 coins (amount to establish one masternode) for about 2 weeks now without any reward yet? I once was in the "winners" list reported by "goldminenode winners" but didn't seem to get anything. Also there's no transaction or additional balance yet that claims any reward.

I've seeing this as testing for other coins/masternode setups that may require more expensive invests. arcticcoin.org claims to give at least daily 0,15 (0,02%) ARC, weekly 4,59 (0,46%) ARC and annual reward of 55,07 (5,51%) ARC. I'm asking myself is it worth trying to spent more into masternode or just drop this idea? Yet I can't see how there is coming any reward or will I have to wait a little bit more to have my running node more established? By the way it's running 24/7 on internet-server (with 1 gbit connection) so I don't think it's caused by any downtime or faulty connectivity.

If I'm investing more coins into the same coin for another node does it matter in which "block" I make my node-investion to establish another node in my wallet? Is it generally a good idea for any masternode-wallet to invest the required amount for masternode once a new block is "found" into the new block doesn't this make any difference at all?

Any help or experience of other users here trying to gain rewards on masternode? Any suggestions or which coins are best profitable?

I would like to know if altcoin staking (f.e. arcticcoin) is possible with lightwallet (no fullnode) f.e. by connecting to a remote fullnode? Or does staking always need a fullnode?

I'm doing some experiments on staking + masternode rewards and setup this for articcoin on my vps. A masternode requires to run as fullnode obviously. I plan to install two instances one for masternode and one as staking-wallet.

Is it possible to "connect" the wallet/staking instance to the masternode to avoid two duplicate, separated blochcains to be stored/downloaded?

I'm interested to setup a multicoin pool as proof of concept to learn such setup. It came in mind to use forknote (http://forknote.net/documentation/) as wallet/blockchain rpc daemon as it supports multiple coins by running multiple instances each one with it's own blockchain-config.

I already compiled it on a ubuntu linux-system for testing. I've tested on bytecoin and tried to setup forknoted, walletd and simplewallet. In my understanding forknoted is a full-node daemon whereas walletd also downloads/syncs blockchain (in concurrence to forknoted which cannot run at the same time/system). Where is the difference?

Which one is required to setup simple a) solo mining (for testing purposes only obviously) and b) to use as backend for a pool setup?

Is it also possible to setup (solo/pool) mining using any public blockchain-nodes like f.e. bcn-node01.bytecoin.cloud (https://bytecoin.cloud/) or is a private fullnode blockchain mandatory for this setup?

I would like to setup multiple private wallets on a NAS system that is able to run on debian-linux. Is there any handy open-source tool that is able to host multiple wallet/blockchain (or lightwallet?) using configurations for each currency/blockchain? I'm interested in different altcoin, but hosting a wallet for each of them syncinc blockchain in background on my notebook doesn't seem to be very handy.

Of course I know that some kind of usb/hardware-wallet (like tresor) comes in mind first. But these one mostly support only the most common coins and not altcoin which may become interesting soon.

For my own solution In the first I thought about something like exodus. But there doesn't seem to be an (ARM compatible) version able to run on CLI (shell without GUI)?

I already know forknote which seems to go in the right direction and I've been testing around. But I did not get it running well yet (tested on bytecoin, blockchain syncing but simplewallet does not work after sync?!). Also there seems to be no way to run a lightwallet using public-nodes?!

Are there any other alternatives in this direction? May be any libs for npm/node which are not too hard to use for a custom implementation providing blockchain sync and a RPC-API?

ich wollte mich hier mal umhören ob prinzipiell Interesse an einer Bitcoin-Karte ähnlich "PaySafeCard" besteht. Quasi eine Karte die man am Kiosk oder Tankstellen kaufen kann mit Bitcoin Guthaben zur Einzahlung auf einem eigenen Wallet.

Alternativ wäre es auch denkbar eine einmal erworbene Karte nachträglich (z.B. auch Online) erneut aufzuladen.


Ich habe vielfach gelesen, dass hier die PaySafeCard im Zusammenhang mit Bitcoin-Kauf immer häufiger vorkommt. Dabei fallen natürlich immense Verluste bei Transaktionsgebühren sowie dem Erwerb der Karte an. PaySafeCard nimmt m.W. rund 15% für den Erwerb der Karte. Bei den Crypto-Exchanges fallen dann weitere Transaktionsgebühren als Verlust an für einen oder mehrere Exchange-Transaktionen bis man tatsächlich BTC getauscht hat.


Ich würde mich über ein Feedback hierzu freuen. Sollte reges Interesse bestehen werde ich versuchen das Konzept umzusetzen als Start-Up. Da ich bereits selbstständig bin ist entsprechendes Unternehmer Know-How bereits vorhanden.

ich würde gerne erfahren welche Möglichkeiten es genau gibt für die QR-Codes. Wird damit nur eine Adresse (also die "Kontonummer") abgebildet oder gibt es auch die Möglichkeit die Bitcoins selbst (z.B. zur Archivierung auf Papier) hiermit abzuspeichern?

Wenn Ihr noch technische Info (bevorzugt Linux Libs oder PHP) passend dazu habt wäre das grandios. Aber erst mal würde es mich generell interessieren, welche Möglichkeiten es nun genau mittels den QR-Codes gibt.
