461  Other / Meta / Section for established vendors? on: July 13, 2013, 10:18:09 PM
The goods section is full of gems but it's sometimes hard to find the reputable vendor threads as they tend to get buried over time.  I think there should be a goods subsection for established vendors.  BeesBrothers, casascius & amagimetals come to mind as a few of these legitimate vendors offering good products on an ongoing basis that should have their threads easily findable.

467  Economy / Computer hardware / [Sold] Icarus FPGA Miner for sale. on: December 09, 2012, 04:50:45 PM
I have an Icarus Miner that I can't get to play nicely in my mining setup which is mostly BFL Singles.  It runs stable for days on end when I can get it to run, but it's usually a crap shoot as to whether it will start or not.  I'll be the first to acknowledge that it is most likely user error, but wanted to make that known.  I'm sure someone who knows what they are doing would have no issues with it...  Otherwise, it would still be a great way to get a discount on an Avalon ASIC miner using their $300 value trade in program.

Trade-Ins. Avalon believes in continuing the trust that have build up with our old customers. Reinstating our policy of $300 per Icarus, $400 per Lancelot, limited one FPGA trade-in per ASIC unit. The trade-in program will continue to be available and will apply to 1st-gen Avalons when the time comes.

All offers considered.  Shipping from US, would like to keep shipping to within US.

479  Economy / Speculation / 4th of July BTC Bubble? on: June 11, 2012, 06:18:23 PM
There are those that believe a huge increase in demand for BTC occurs around major holidays due to SR users placing escrow orders to enjoy over the holiday.  Do you think we'll see a BTC price spike approaching the 4th of July holiday?  Discuss.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

HOW CAN I JOIN NASTYFANS?
Bitcointalk user nonnakip has started a website for NastyFans where members can trade seats using an auction.

CAN I HELP SPREAD THE WORD?
Sure.  Check out the signature campaign thread.

WHERE DO DONATIONS COME FROM?
Members are encouraged to develop new innovative use cases for Bitcoin and support each other's efforts as well as give back to NastyFans in the form of donations.  The NastyMining Green Energy Project is one such development that donates all of it's hashrate to mining on behalf of the NastyFans Donation Address.  The NastyShop is another example where a portion of trades for goods is donated to NastyFans.  You can view the history of all donation distributions here: Historic Distribution List.
