1  Other / Meta / Point me to undermerited posts on: February 28, 2018, 08:58:37 PM
I have some spare sMerit which I don't intend to keep. Would much rather pass to some1 who deserves it (so he can pass it further etc.) but I simply don't know to whom.
So asking you to show me posts/members you think deserves to be merited and point up why.
I will review myself and decide.

Hints: looking for various guide makers, useful software coders, hardware manufacturers (those who make useful HW at home/garage), useful web admins, general supporters ...

WARNING:
- no beg (beggars will be red marked)
- no PM, so others can see your proposal as well (PM beggars/spammers will be published)
- do not post your own topics
- will skip proposal made by members registered after this post was made (so don't even bother)
- not going to provide any reasoning why the proposed one was not merited
- make it simple, just provide link and brief reason
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Silly comments from people not knowing on: February 27, 2018, 10:37:44 PM
Recently a friend of mine told me: I'm looking forward when the originator turns it off.
Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Immediately a "holly hop drive" (for those who don't know it's from red dwarf serial) pop up in my mind and that he thinks someone has such box in basement.

I'm quite sad he did not let me explain why that's not possible.

Share comments you've heard about BTC from person not knowing what he's talking about. But please keep this at funny level without any insults.

5  Economy / Services / [ASSIST] - purchasing Antminer ASIC on: September 07, 2017, 01:50:40 AM
Hi, we all know buying an antminer is a pain in the ass. High demand, crappy website, lot of bulk buyers, speculators etc.
I'm willing to assist you with purchasing your beloved miner (for small fee of course).

EDIT: Based on this tweet it seems this offer is not necessary anymore.

I hate people who just order them without actual intention to buy it (and blocking them from others) thus I first collect the demand and then will try to fill it up.

Here's how it should work:

1 - Send me PM request and provide order details (see below)
2 - I will create new email at mail.com (this one does not require phone nr.) and register new bitmain account (will try to use similar nick as you have on this forum).
3 - I will order specific nr. of miners with specific delivery address and payment method.
4 - If successful I will provide you proof and ask you to escrow the funds (at your cost) - just reminding BTC, LTC payments are time limited so we had to be quick (thus I prefer no escrow or purchasing via USD wire. with trusted members I might go first).
5 - Once i'm paid (or funds escrowed) I will hand over both email and bitmain account to you (you should immediately a link phone nr, 2fa etc. to secure it).

For this service I'm going to charge 1% fee (total order sum) payable in BTC (pay me after your order being validated by bitmain)
This is my BTC addy: 1Ko4s5YUHnF2JxjUmFL953QCu1yB8vsaZ6

Interested?
PM with:
- miner you want and amount (w or w/o PSU)
- preferred payment method
- full delivery address
- any additional info you consider important

Only serious buyers. Trusted members (NO NEWBIE ACCOUNTS)

Disclaimer:
Can't guarantee I will be successful (can only guarantee I will give a try)
Your personal info is strictly confidential (I will never share or give/sell it to third party).
I reserve the right to refuse any request (my capacity obviously limited)
There is no obligation from your side ( if you will be successful as well I'm not going to insist on finishing our deal )

ACTUAL OFFER:

N/A (waiting for new batch release)

HISTORY:

Antminer L3+ (7 Sept) at 11AM (GMT+8). Payment methods: USD, BTC, LTC, DASH
https://twitter.com/BITMAINtech/status/905402104457527297
RESULT: Not successful  Angry (I was able to put into cart, but not any further)

6  Economy / Service Discussion / bitit.io - email phishing link - Scam? CONFIRMED - be aware on: July 22, 2017, 08:28:37 PM
I've just received email from: sales@bitit.io about some sort of unpaid invoice. I have never registered in this site and can't find any relevant info about them here. So be aware.

Part of the email is a phishing link masked as "bitit.gift" but redirecting to goo.gl shorted link (I had not enough courage to click it)

Just wanted to warn others

EDIT: realized I would rather not to be linked to my email so shaded the invoice nr. and removed the goo.gl link.
7  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] EU Lenovo thinkpad (core i7, 8GB RAM, 250 GB HDD, 12in touchscreen) on: June 16, 2017, 01:22:36 AM
Not actually want to sale. It's more like scouting if anybody interested.

I have a LENOVO YOGA Thinkpad which I do not need anymore.

It's 3 years old (have traveled with it but the condition is great). Most of time stored in pouch but last month it's running almost nonstop (with trading bot on it).
Exact model designation: 20CD-0038MZ ( core i7,  8GB RAM, 250 GB HDD, 12in touchscreen )

It comes with WIN10 Pro (64bit), I have the original box, EU power cord and pouch.
I'll restore the factory settings before shipment.

Can provide pictures or vids if anybody interested (ask for more details in PM or here )
Payment in BTC, escrow accepted (fee and shipping paid by buyer), prefer shipping inside the EU.

Looking for 0.4 BTC (or make me offer)
8  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] PC game 'For Honor' or 'Ghost Recon:Wildlands' (uplay coupon) on: April 25, 2017, 05:41:26 PM
Got this coupon with new nvidia GPU. I'm not playing games so if anybody interested let me know.
You can choose between For Honor and Ghost Recon:Wildlands (coupon is valid till end of 6-2017).

I have no experience with uplay (not sure if the coupon is linked to purchased GPU). Instructions says you need to activate it using geforce experience ( listed are GPUs GTX 1060, 1070 & 1080 ) and then download via uplay.
EDIT: You need to have nVidia GTX 1070 or 1080 in order to redeem the code.

Looking for 0.02 0.015 0.013 0.01 0.005 BTC or give me your offer.

I guess nobody is going to escrow this but if so I'll accept. Could eventually send the code first if you are trusted member.

10  Other / Off-topic / STUPIDO - help & discussion on: December 12, 2016, 09:48:50 PM
This thread is dedicated to raise question and discuss about:  [GAME] STUPIDO - advanced word soccer

Don't hesitate to ask, criticize or share own ideas how to improve the game.  I welcome any feedback.
11  Other / Off-topic / [GAME] STUPIDO - advanced word soccer on: December 12, 2016, 09:23:48 PM
Hey all, just would like to try a little experiment ... maybe it's STUPID idea but I want to try .... perhaps it will be fun.

I guess everybody is familiar with WORD SOCCER GAME ( first persons kicks off a word and next one has to find word which begins with same letter the previous one ends with.. and so on ).

STUPIDO is more complex game because you have to only describe the the word using other words (you can't say it directly otherwise you loose) and you have to use TWO LAST LETTERS.
If anybody makes a mistake ( should not happen here because we are going to use hashes to confirm the previous word ) he became an 'STUPIDO' and GAME IS OVER - have to say there is NO REWARD ( just wanted to describe the game principle so you can try it with friends, it's quite fun )

Key of this game is to make as much long chain as we can, so do not try to play words you do not know what could follow ...  just to make it bit interesting.

GAME EXAMPLE:
Let's the first word would be: GOAL
Next guy wants to say e.g ALUMINIUM ( but has to describe it ) so he can say "chemical element atomic number 13"
Another one has to find word beginning with UM .. like UMBILICAL ( and here I'm out of game because I can't describe it using other words  .. I'm not a native english speaker. )
etc.

Got it?
If not please check the first 4 post
and if still not sure do not post question here, your post will be removed.
Ask questions, provide feedback and discuss in STUPIDO - help & discussion

RULES:
1 - You have to use LATS TWO LETTERS of previous word
2 - It must be ENGLISH DICTIONARY WORD ( no abbreviations, language mutations )
3 - ALWAYS put a SHA256 hash of your word at the end of post (so the following user can check he is correct )
4 - ALWAYS check the previous hash ( to know you guess it right ) .. otherwise it will be messy and kinda ruin the game.
5 - ALWAYS use CAPITAL LETTERS
6 - You can SWAP THE LETTERS but make a note about doing so

NOTE: Please double check your HASH before posting because any space after or before the word will confuse other players.

EVERYTHING CLEAR?
GAME START:

So let's start with word: STONE
HASH: d217e1d39a7ad66b4788205d1353c7db3e2882d9414b9e18cd56b084539b6ddb
