I know I get rate limited if I make more than one request per second for a while (and short bursts are allowed), but I didn't even get close to that. I was just browsing a few pages, looking for a pizza post made by someone. None of this was automated, and yet, Cloudflare kicked my butt!
Normally, when I get rate limited, it passes after a few seconds. I'm still blocked after 10 minutes now, no idea how long this is going to take.

Cloudflare's Error link: https://developers.cloudflare.com/support/troubleshooting/http-status-codes/cloudflare-1xxx-errors/error-1015/

Looking at my open tabs, this may have triggered it: I had one tab open showing "Verify you are human by completing the action below." and waiting to click the captcha. Meanwhile, I continued clicking through a few pages of a thread (to do a quick CTRL-F on each page) in another tab.
2  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Mycelium: how to verify address on hardware wallet? on: June 28, 2022, 09:36:20 PM
I've liked Mycelium for a long time, and have a Keepkey hardware wallet that I haven't really used. I've connected it to Mycelium on Android, and it gives a Bitcoin address I can deposit to. But: it doesn't have the option to verify the address on the hardware wallet, which means I have to trust Mycelium. The whole point of using a hardware wallet is so that I don't have to trust any software.

Did Mycelium forget to implement this feature?
3  Economy / Micro Earnings / 10 x 1000 Satoshi (Lightning Network) for joining as my referral on an exchange on: December 11, 2019, 08:11:54 PM
3 steps
1. Use the (red) referral link in my signature to exchange some (small) amount of crypto
2. Send me the Reference code of the exchange (or post it here) so I can verify it
3. Post a LN payment request for 1000 Satoshi

To get started and see how this goes, I'm currently limiting this to the first 10 users only.

This topic has 3 goals
1. Gain referral users
2. Increase Lightning adoption
3. Promote a small exchange that I like

4  Economy / Services / [LoyceMobile] Signature available! Accepting Bitcoin Lightning (LN) only on: December 07, 2019, 07:40:36 PM
The catch
Advertise in my signature! Here's the catch: for this, I only accept payments in Bitcoin Lightning!

Why
Part of this is to promote LN, part of this is to increase my (currently very small) funds on the Lightning Network.
If you haven't used LN before, I don't mind explaining how it works. Just know that it's experimental, and you shouldn't send more than you can afford to lose to any LN-wallet.

Where
I'm only offering a small (although negotiable) part of my signature up for rent, and it comes with Full Member restrictions (such as: font size can't be adjusted, tables aren't allowed and "glow" is not possible). Using different colors is allowed.
There are currently 3 spots "Advertise here for LN" in my signature. I might change this in the future.

Offers
Here's another catch: I'll accept any amount, but that also means your advertising spot can be taken by someone else with 1-day-notice if I receive a better offer. If that happens, I'll return your payment pro rated if you paid up front, or you'll have to pay only until "the new guy" takes over. To spice things up, you can also use your 1-day-notice to come up with a counter offer.
Or, at my discretion, I can rent out another part of my signature to someone else. You don't get an exclusive claim.

I can make a deal per post, per day, per week, per month or per year. Payment can be fixed in Bitcoin or dollars, but has to be made in Bitcoin Lightning. If you get a refund, it's based on the LN-amount you paid, not the dollar value at the time. I prefer to be paid upfront, but I'm flexible if you're trusted enough.

Disclaimer
I only advertise services that I like. I reserve the right to reject offers I don't like. If the service I'm advertising turns into a scam, I reserve the right to stop advertising it without returning payment.
I make no promises whatsoever for the number of posts I'll create in the future. If you don't like the idea of paying for posts that I don't make, feel free to make an offer per post.
I reserve the right to change anything at any time.

No way!
At the right offer, my personal text can be rented too, but I prefer to keep that personal. Let's say "the right offer" is higher than any sane person would want to pay, so basically I just like my personal text the way it is. But you're free to try Tongue

My sales pitch
My main account has been part of the ChipMixer Signature Campaign since September 2017. This campaign is generally known for accepting only high-quality posters. On mobile, I barely ever create long posts because of the small keyboard (in rare occasions, such as for creating this topic, I use my PC instead of mobile to post).

At the moment of writing updating
I have made 540 640 860 posts.
I'm the 825th 709th 696th most Merited user (this account was created after the introduction of Merit and didn't receive any airdropped Merit). See Full Merit history.
This account is a DT2 DT3 DT2-member, and has reported "557 623 894 posts with 100% accuracy (533 597 good, 3 5 bad, 21 23 28 unhandled)".

History
  • January 5, 2019 - February 5, 2019: Timelord2o67 has both spots for 100,000 LN Satoshis.
  • January 27, 2019 - March 1, 2019: Timelord2067 extended the above 2 spots, and took a third spot for 150,000 LN Satoshis.
Be the first second third to advertise on LoyceMobile!

7  Economy / Reputation / Flag: selling non-existing account on: October 15, 2019, 09:23:57 PM
User: justink
Profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2669780

This user offers a Legendary account with 584 Merit for sale. Such an account doesn't exist, which means he's trying to scam a buyer.
He wants to be contacted through Telegram, so this deserves a Newbie warning Flag.

8  Other / Meta / Just a thought: make orange and green feedback black if it's a small percentage. on: June 22, 2019, 01:49:56 PM
Would it be an idea to reduce the strength of Trust color in certain circumstances?

Many users on DT1 with a lot of green feedback also have one or a few negative tags.
Examples:
    4. 18321: OgNasty (Trust: +81 / =2 / -6) (DT1! (2) 690 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
    7. 30747: Vod (Trust: +29 / =2 / -1) (DT1! (22) 1253 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
    8. 31931: Anduck (Trust: +20 / =2 / -1) (DT1! (6) 44 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
   18. 98986: TMAN (Trust: +26 / =1 / -2) (DT1! (20) 1031 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
   39. 216582: willi9974 (Trust: +21 / =0 / -1) (DT1! (0) 50 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
   41. 313016: owlcatz (Trust: +39 / =0 / -1) (DT1! (24) 220 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
My suggestion is to make the orange numbers black for users who have at least 10 times more positive than negative feedback.
That would make the above examples look like this:
    4. 18321: OgNasty (Trust: +81 / =2 / -6) (DT1! (2) 690 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
    7. 30747: Vod (Trust: +29 / =2 / -1) (DT1! (22) 1253 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
    8. 31931: Anduck (Trust: +20 / =2 / -1) (DT1! (6) 44 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
   18. 98986: TMAN (Trust: +26 / =1 / -2) (DT1! (20) 1031 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
   39. 216582: willi9974 (Trust: +21 / =0 / -1) (DT1! (0) 50 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
   41. 313016: owlcatz (Trust: +39 / =0 / -1) (DT1! (24) 220 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

Additionally, I suggest to make the green numbers black for users who have less than twice as much positive as negative trust.

My reasoning behind this suggestion is that real scammers easily receive a lot of negatives and shouldn't have any green feedback left, and negative feedback for highly trusted users can be less prominent as they aren't a real risk in most cases.

10  Other / Meta / Hide my name on: April 06, 2019, 01:07:26 PM
In a public location, I don't like having my name in bold above every page. I'm stuck here for a couple of hours, spending my time reading the forum, but don't want people to see my username (I try not to mix real life and crypto).
Would it be possible to hide the "Hello LoyceMobile" (without logging out)?

As a bonus, this might confuse account farmers and make them post under the wrong name Cheesy
11  Economy / Scam Accusations / My gut feeling tells me MIXERCOIN is a scam on: October 11, 2018, 07:42:32 PM
Disclaimer
I'm using my alt, so the "you work for the competition"-argument can't be used. I've used and/or tested several mixers, it's not as if I suspect all of them to be scammers.
This is not a scam accusation (yet), I have no evidence that anyone got scammed (yet). I think it's worth discussing though.

My gut feeling
MIXERCOIN (username: mixercoin) gives me the same feeling BITMIXCOIN.IO (Trust: -64: -6 / +0) did a year ago. They claimed to own 2000+ Bitcoin, but couldn't prove it. Eventually, that mixer pulled an exit scam and stole well over 16 Bitcoin before their webhost took them down.

Serious questions are evaded
MIXERCOIN follows a similar pattern: claiming to have very high (in this case even unlimited) funds, but refusing to sign a message. This is how they respond to valid concerns:
•   that maximum amount  of the mixing has not limit
That's only possible if you own 50% of all bitcoins. I don't believe that, so it's not possible.
Can you at least sign a message to prove ownership of substantial funds?
We own enough bitcoins. Question to you. Do you have money?

Playing dumb
They pretend not to know how to prove ownership of funds.
Laughing at valid concerns is what I expect from a scammer, not from a legit business:
So you're saying you run a mixer but don't know how to sign a message?
Thats the dumbest thing for a mixing service who didnt even know how a sign message works. Shocked
So far, only I have a smile when I hear that 0.01 bitcoin are a large amount
The best proof is not words but the result.  Do  mix on 0.01 btc or  too much for you?
Even if mixing a small amount would work, that doesn't prove it's not going to be a selective or exit scam.

Spam
They're spamming many local boards with Google Translated posts, which isn't allowed. I've reported some of the posts, and some are gone already, so I've archived it.

The problem
It can't be proven until they scam someone. Any Newbie that asks for a no collateral loan, quickly gets tagged, because most of them are scammers. Meanwhile, anyone can promote their mixer, even though many of them are owned by scammers.
BITMIXCOIN got tagged with red trust after they scammed 16 Bitcoin, and the victim sent me his Letter of Guarantee. MIXERCOIN doesn't even have a Letter of Guarantee, so there will never be any conclusive evidence.
So far, I haven't tagged anyone based on speculation, and I don't want to start that now. On the other hand, I'd hate to see another scam mixer make an innocent victim if that can be prevented.
12  Other / Meta / Forum response very slow on: August 16, 2018, 03:30:42 PM
Each page takes about 15 seconds to load today. I was expecting to find a topic about this, but there's none.
Is it just me? I have the same problem on 2 devices.

Update: I got a Cloudflare message, and it works fine again. I guess DDOS protection is on now.
