Moral of the story, and on my life and that of my son and wife, the following is true: I wrote an interview for CCN (CryptoCoinsNews) with MM (Michael Moriarty) in which he promoted his "Bitcoin Network" which is a collection of many bitcoin related sites. (bitplastic, bitlaunder, bitarmored, coinchimp) I looked into them and there were some scam claims but in all instances, MM seemed to end the issue by paying the customer back or some mutual agreement. MM seemed legit. A few months after the interview, I was contacted by RJ (RickyJames) who said he had sent 130 bitcoins to Bitlaunder and they were not returned. Eventually his account was locked out. He never heard from bitlaunder despite his support emails and personal emails to MM. I figured it was a mistake or mix-up and so I emailed MM and him and I discussed the RJ email to which he at first denied. Then, he did admit receipt of the 130btc but said it had been "paid out." I then asked for transaction id's or proof of said payment and MM went on and on about how he isn't in the business to scam and that RJ was trying to extort him, etc. etc. but I had proof of the coins being sent from RJ to MM. Eventually MM said, "If someone is laundering 130 btc then they are dirty coins or illegally obtained." So, in my discussions with RJ, I knew where he got the coins and why he was "mixing" them and it wasn't illegal. So I said to MM, you got this all wrong... RJ's coins are legit. MM responded with questions regarding proof of this which I then provided. He then sent the email that is the proof that shows MM kept RJ's 130btc.  After this email, he sent a "test" transaction of .01 btc to RJ and we never heard more. Now he just shows up to call me an extortioner and to continue to promote his sites. Lately he has setup alt accounts such as HulkoviusRex, Laura007, Sexygrrl69, cash-net and many more to further promote his sites by claiming they are not scams. So, I have a challenge to both the community and Michael.

I want to give you a chance to truly do right by the community. In your email (seen above) you stated,
"I'm not a thief and my business model is long term, not theft."
I want to give you a chance to prove that. At the same time, you claim that these alt accounts are real customers who really use your services and like them. I scream SCAM because clearly, I know of one person who you did in fact SCAM and so until that person has been taken care of, you're a scammer. Your claim throughout this forum is that you tackle accusations head on and so I invite you to tackle this challenge. Knowing by the end that we will know the true Michael Moriarty. This link will be tweeted, placed on reddit and more. You can save your business now, or destroy it!

Mike- take a second and think... Wouldn't this be better? What if you just came out and said,
"Everyone, I fucked up. I kept a customer's BTC because I thought they were dirty coins. They weren't and so I'm giving RickyJames his 127btc back as well as the fee I charged, so I'm sending him 130 btc. Here is the transaction id showing the 130btc being returned to the account ending in RIQ belonging to RJ. I'm honestly trying to good for the bitcoin economy and I hope you give one of my many services a shot, so that I can prove that my websites are legit. I'm sorry for the trouble I caused."

If you came out and said that, you would no longer need to post from your sock drawer. You would no longer need to hide.
You would no longer need to go around and post at other forums and defend yourself from people who call you a scammer.
People would see that you admitted your mistake, and maybe even try one of your sites. Maybe bitplastic is a great debit card.
Maybe coinchimp is a great exchange. Maybe bitarmored is the safest cold storage.
If that is truly the case, you'd make far more money by operating them as legit services, with word of mouth advertising and satisfied clients.
Not by stealing from someone and spending years making shill accounts and pathetic posts trying to get people to use your sites while being a scammy clown.
FACT:
No one will use your sites, not because they think they suck, but because you took in money from a customer and have decided to keep it.
You called out "a-ads" because they kept your 0.1 btc and you told them they cannot keep your bitcoin just because they own a site.

As if you needed more proof of Moriarty and his scam attempts.... I received this email:  What caught me as strange was the fact that he lists clearly the payment methods to buy bitcoin through CoinChimp with payment methods including Bank of America cash deposit, Western Union, MoneyPak, Vanilla Reload, SEPA/Wire Transfer, and more. I said, hmmmm... how could he allow BofA transfer... he would need a bank account which would give away his identity. So, I signed up for an account, and prepared to buy bitcoin through BofA cash deposit. Well, of course... a scammer never tells the truth. Once inside your account, and when ready to buy bitcoin, here are your options:  Oh damn... what do you know... my only options are MoneyPak reload and Vanilla Visa Reload. Oh, Perfect Money as well... which I had never heard of but when I go to their site, I see a posting from June of 2013 stating: "Dear Customers, In line with our policy, all accounts that belong to US Citizens/Residents/US Companies will be disabled on 1st of July. If you still have funds on your account, please take appropriate and timely steps to withdraw the balance. Please note that after 1st of July, no transactions can be executed at accounts that fall into the above mentioned category." So, despite what the scam email claims, I can only but bitcoins from Mr. Moriarty with Vanilla Visa or MoneyPak. So, despite my earlier fears that possibly the 80k theft that has been clearly proven throughout these forums including here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=713699.msg8177067#msg8177067 were a single scam attempt by Dr. Michael Moriarty PhD (not a doctor, not a real name, no PhD) It now appears that my worst fears are true. The entire operation of Michael Moriarty and his "Bitcoin Network of 50+ sites" are a total scam and believe me you will lose money if you deal with him in any way...

I'm sorry if you have already seen this story but it is just incredible to me that this clown is still operating all these sites and making insane posts in this forum, all while admitting to and keeping RickyJames $80,000 in bitcoin. My goal is simple... I want him to pay back the money he stole or to go to jail for the crime he has committed. I really don't care which one. I (JC) write an article, an interview about Dr. Michael Moriarty PhD (MM) and his network on CyptoCoinsNews, where I work as a journalist. I praise MM for being a bitcoin advocate and in the article he shits on Coinbase and Circle etc. calling them Ponzi schemes and in bed with the Federal Reserve etc. 2. BitcoinTalk user "RickyJames" (RJ) sees the interview and uses MM site "bitlaunder.com" to deposit about 132btc for mixing. After the coin is not returned for 24 hours, RJ tries to email MM but gets no response. RJ tries support requests and more emails and all go unanswered. 3. RJ emails me and asks if I will try and contact MM as I did the interview. I say okay. At first, I assume RJ is full of shit. So, I email MM as to why I have a customer claiming $80,000 in losses at his site. MM returns my email saying he never heard of RJ, knows nothing of the situation. 4. RJ emails me a PDF of proof (pdf available at http://www.antilyze.com/work.html) which includes the address he paid the coin to, I check MM site and indeed that is the pay to address and when checking blockchain, RJ's proof holds up. Now I'm thinking, "Okay MM, where is this 80k?" 5. MM emails me and says he can confirm user RJ sent 125 btc and withdraws 123 btc. Claims RJ is a scammer-extortionist and not to worry about him. He also gives me the bitlaunder "payout address" of 1DDWEQM11uMUKiqpGEWvBT2at3CjCw3Vra (1DD) I again check the blockchain and see the money go from RJ to MM then from MM to 1DD. From 1DD there is never a payout of anything close to 123 btc. So, I simply ask MM for a transaction id. MM emails me copies of emails of him "taking care" of customers and says, "now, do I look like a scammer? I have no need for his 125 btc, I have over 50,000 bitcoins" 6. This seems crazy, I email Michael and again ask, "MM, this is simple, I need the payout trx id so I can get RJ off my back. Where are his coins?" I tell him that RJ will go to the feds soon, he really should give me the info. 7. MM then says that if RJ goes to the Feds that RJ will be arrested because the coins are dirty and stolen. Then asks me, "Why would you send someone 125 btc and need them cleaned in 24 hours? Why so quickly? Because they are stolen or hacked that's why" 8. I email MM and tell him he is actually wrong. I say that RJ is clean and so are the coins. At this point I'm shocked! How can MM play cop? He runs a launder site and chooses when to send coins back to the customer? That is theft! 9. MM emails back and asks to see the proof that RJ and his coins are clean... which I provide him. MM writes back and says that he has checked into RJ and I am right, that RJ and his coins are clean and so he will get them back shortly. Wants RJ to email him with btc address and an agreement that once the 125 btc is returned, that the case is closed. 10. RJ emails MM as requested and MM confirms and says he will send a test transaction for 0.01 btc and then the rest. MM sends 0.01 and then shows his true colors by KEEPING THE REST! MM admits he has the coins, then just refuses to give them back.The day after he was supposed to send the 125 btc and did not, MM posts in the forum that he has opened hotbitcoins.com and has decided to "Give Away Free Bitcoin" but fails to respond to any email from JC or RJ about the stolen coins. Then yesterday, he responds to a thread concerning the safety of investing in btc and says, I just invested $400,000 into Bitcoin

So, when users send him coin, and he mixes them and then either does or does not (in the case of RJ) return them to the customer, he is claiming that as proof of his btc investments. He is a laughable clown! Those are users of your site depositing coin that you are to pay them out with... that isn't investing you fraudulent scumbag. MY MISTAKE:In the course of my emails with MM and trying to get him to admit that he had RJ's coins, I sent an email from another email account (same IP) in which I even signed the email JC. He was supposed to know it was me, but I was trying to get him to admit that he had the coins. This was before he ever claimed they must be stolen or flat out said that he still held him. In my email I said, "I know what you've done, so to keep me quiet, I need 20 btc." I admit now, that wasn't the best idea but I was always in contact with RJ and had MM decided to send the 20 btc, I would have sent it to RJ immediately and with it, the obvious fact that MM has admitted to stealing the coins. Ultimately, he did admit it and turned down the 20 btc offer, instead trying to bribe me by asking me to ignore RJ and to work for him writing positive articles about his site for 3 btc a month. (Hmmmm, wonder where he will get these 3 btc a month) I turn him down and say no way, this ends only when RJ is paid back. Well, instead MM makes a site named after my name http://jerancampanella.com and claims there that I am a scammer extortionist. What an asshole! Claims I was fired from my job at CCN for writing lies about MM, claims that my house is in foreclosure and that I am scamming bitcoin businesses. Those are all huge lies. I still work for CCN, and had an article published yesterday. My home is not in foreclosure and I have never tried any scam or even thought about screwing any other human. I believe in what is right. I live by the Golden Rule. And if I stole $80k, well I can't see having a problem with someone who tried to "extort" me into returning what I had stole. Sounds like a good person in my mind.
