There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Do not use this site. After a day or so of having my btc the account broke and I'm unable to get my btc back. I took a picture here so you can see for yourself.

What I mean by broke is go to coinchimp and login, oh you don't have an account? That's alright, login with any credentials no matter what and you will get the same screen I just posted. I thought maybe there was a database error so I tried to create another account with my same name, nope. The user already exists, that's when I tried logging in with a bogus account and it worked. I then tried to make a new account, of course that worked. I contacted coinchimp via email, they all fail and return. I opened a support ticket under the new account, no response.

Thankfully I transferred less then a btc there, I lost maybe $80 and I was just about to move it out of there too. Just my luck, beware of this site.
