43  Bitcoin / Project Development / The 1st Technological Foundation for Latin America on: April 25, 2018, 10:47:58 PM
Many people knows, even from the same Latin America, that region is not so much involved technically with the crypto world.

The most of people I know,

1. They just "trade", buy any coin and wait its price go up to sell to take profit. (Speculation)

2. Other type of people they just buy or sell Bitcoins as a product.

3. Some people is having BTC only to hold... And so there are many people does not really know about the world of cryptocurrencies, talking technically.

Due to this we have thought to create the first Foundation in Latin America involved mainly in this new technology. One of the purposes of this Foundation will be as follows:

1. To support new projects based on Blockchain. (Mainly)
2. To guide users or newbies to understand many things of this topic, this is leaded to people really wants to know at computer level how Blockchain, Tokens, Cryptocurrencies work. All the process having a cryptocurrency is sent from a part to another one.
3. To teach by informal learning to people all these things that sometimes are difficult to understand.

Let us to know your opinion, or questions whether you have about this project. Smiley

AGRADEZCO SUS COMENTARIOS Smiley

Grin Grin Grin

50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How to steal BTC just with public key. on: April 25, 2018, 12:00:40 AM
Can the BTCitcoins of a wallet be stolen just with the public key?

Example: I have 50 BTC in my wallet, any person very far from me asks for I sell them 50 BTC and they say me they need a POF (Prove of founds), so they ask for I send a small amount of btc, (can be 10,000 satoshis) for they check the wallet in blockchain and make sure I have the enough amount to sell.

I ask this because I have heard a wallet can be cleared just to have the public key and with to have sent satoshis previously.

Please let me to know and if is possible, technical examples why can exists the possibility this happens. Or technically why this cannot happend.

Thank you!
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BITCOIN´s Day on: April 24, 2018, 04:23:17 PM
Bitcoin has become a world phenomenon, though right now many people doesn´t know it or heard it. Bitcoin has changed totally the system, not only economic system but at technological level. We can say from entire world population, just the 25% know it or has it.
And I also know bitcoin has changed not only my life but from others, specially economically.

For that my proposal is to create a Bitcoin´s Day where can be celebrated in many countries in the world, starting on social sites or forums like this and after to see the possibility to make events in some cities or countries where a day be dedicated to Bitcoin and to Satoshi Nakamoto topics.

So, let me to know your opinion guys. Smiley

Espero comentarios. Wink

54  Other / Beginners & Help / Merit on: April 23, 2018, 01:33:30 PM
Hello guys, as you can see I am new at the forum, so there are many things I still don´t understand and it is about the Merit.

I have in my screen at the right side above, a part it says +Merit

That appears in every user quote and also in my profile like this -> Merit: 1, my questions are:

What happens if I click on +Merit, in my own quote?
How can I get Merit? (this also appears in my profile)
What´s the purpose of merits?
Any user can give merit? If it´s so, how can I give.

Thank you for helping, regards!
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / If you have ETH or you´ll have, this cares you. on: April 23, 2018, 12:56:04 PM
Right now the Ethereum team is analyzing the Blockchain Ethereum´s consensus change and they said it is ready for a community review. This means they will fork the network from PoW to PoS or the first hybrid blockchain in the network. This is the link: https://www.coindesk.com/the-code-for-ethereums-consensus-change-is-now-ready-for-review/

What we can expect from this change?
1. More security, if any attacker want to infringe the network or to make a 51% attack, that person should have too much money.
2. Some users can lose their rewards if they don´t follow the consensus rules.
3. Obviously with a change will be many things are omitted, this means weakness, so by this time that change will pass by a community review, what it means more people talking about ETH.

I posted this thread into the Spanish section but I have realized, there is not the same intensity in participation with the spanish-talkers, so, I want to read quotes in this section, by that way we can feedback ourselves.

 * What do you think about this change?
 * Are you agree?
 * This change can improve the network right now?

Please, let us your opinion. Smiley

PSDT: I know too much people know about technical data respect to the technology but there are also people starting in this "world". So, those people with too much knowledge make more difficult when they explain about PoS or PoW. And here below I will write it to understand it simply.

PoW: Proof of work -> Your chance to find the next block for mining is proportional to your CPU power (processing capacity).
PoS: Proof of Stake -> Your change to find the next block for mining is proportional to the amount of coins you are holding. (more coins, more opportunities to have rewards)
56  Local / Altcoins (criptomonedas alternativas) / Mejor Ethereum que Bitcoin? on: April 23, 2018, 12:24:59 PM

57  Other / Beginners & Help / Moderators locking topics??? on: April 22, 2018, 04:32:25 AM
Hi guys, as you can see I am new in the forum participating. So I don´t understand some things, one of them is why moderators lock some topics, it appears with a padlock. I would like to know which could be the reason moderators to lock that topic.

Thank you for your answers and feedback.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Beware with RIPPLE on: April 22, 2018, 04:24:12 AM
One of the improvements of Bitcoin and Blockchain is the decentralization, through Bitcoin you can send money wherever you want, and the amount you want with no restrictions, but I think personally that Ripple (controlled by banks) can "affect" the system again.

The crypto world is changing all the financial system BUT I am not agree with the system or with the Ripple Blockchain. This coin can be amazing for people who holds because the same reason that represents (backed by many important banks). But its centralized system make we continue in the same system like fiat money. If you all can see is the coin with more supply in CoinMarketCap, taking us to a king of inflation as it is happening now with the paper money in some countries, as they control it, they can print xrp when they want (the same control like right now).

So...
The money should not be controlled by an unique server.
It should be limited to control inflation and to force people to move the economy...

This is my opinion respect to this coin, there are too many people knowing this kind of topic, please let your opinion.

Am I being exaggerated or I am correct with this opinion?
What you would advice for newbies respect to this coin?

Thank you for your feedback!  Smiley Wink
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / TRADING of Bitcoin in a broker or exchange? on: April 21, 2018, 09:55:19 PM
Do you have any preferences in to trade the Bitcoin by a broker or by an exchange?

If it´s so, let us to know your opinion, by this more people can feed theirselves, write advantages or disadvantages you have personally when you trade.

I think in 1 advantage with exchanges. When you buy any amount in an exchange you can hold and to sell when price go up and if the price go down you will continue having the same amount of BTC. The opposite would happen in a broker, if you buy any amount, your account can burns if the price turns down enough.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / A PAYMENT METHOD on: April 21, 2018, 06:26:02 PM
Hello to everyone, as you all can see I am new in the forum, it is so amazing to see too much important information about these topics; Blockchain, Bitcoin, Mining, etc...
I have a little question that I consider it should be as a topic in this space.

What cryptocurrency do you think would be the best payment method in a future?

Having into the account:

- Transaction costs.
- Sending and receiving speed.
- Decentralization, centralization.
- Also the team behind of them.

Let us to know your opinion and the why, by this way many people can see and analyze what coin to buy for holding or for using as a payment method.

If I have to correct something in my posts, please let me to know it. Thank you for the feedback.
