Thief (sold)

Deus Ex Human Revolution sells for between $5-$12 on eBay (I could have gotten the higher selling Dirt 3 instead, but I was thinking of just using this myself)... anyway, I'll sell it for .015 bitcoins, which would be around the average of what it goes for on eBay.  Not too concerned w/ this since I'll just play it if nobody wants.

I also got this "Firefall Exclusive AMD Operator Bundle" that includes:

20 Pilot Tokens
3x 1 hour resource boosts
3x 1 hour XP boosts
a random ARES cosmetic
AMD Warpaint
AMD Decal

I have no clue what to value at, PM me an offer or something (or if it's worthless, let me know that too).

since it's such a small amt of bitcoins and I've done a lot of trades on here, I'd want the bitcoins sent in advance

(*note: these could possibly be NA region locked, not sure)

44  Economy / Service Discussion / "IPU Services" ("we pay for idle process0r cycles")? Uhh. BS, surely? on: February 28, 2014, 08:44:35 AM
First off, I never used their Java client since I figured it was scrubbing for passwords or something.  I did post my referral link on here as a sort of joke many months ago, and now it's saying I have:

Total Balance   $9.98

38 direct referrals, 12 'level 2' referrals, and 1 'level 3 referral'.

I had to LoL at this:

Information Releases
BitCoin / CrytoCoin Completely Self-Destruct02/26/2014 With the total collapse of MtGox, the largest trader in Bitcoin, it is all done except for the shouting; Crypto-Currency is dead.Anyone who attempted to use BTC in the past as any type of currency already knew is was completely useless as a means of trade; worth $50 today, $1200 tomorrow.Good Riddance.  Now if all the smaller outlets would simply do the right thing and realize that they are now meaningless, and they should lay down and die.Needless to say, IPU Services will not accept any form of Crypto Currency.

...

but, uh, this place is BS, right?  *scratch*

I mean, according to their "balance sheet" @

http://www.ipuservices.com/12.31%20bal.pdf

They claim to have $2,550 in Mt. Gox (*cough*) and even if we were to trust these figures, the random amounts to various shady currency exchanges as well as the "$123,300.00 Undeposited" amount (wtf is it under a mattress or something?)  It claims to have damn near zero expenses, and, well, too much income for some place with a PoS website that nobody's ever heard of w/ no apparent clientele.

I wouldn't recommend using their, uh, "idle processing power" using application, but signing up probably isn't too harmful, as long as you use unique passwords.

If you want to check it out, it's at www.ipuservices.com ...

... *or* if you want to be a Super Nice Person and make me more imaginary Zimbabwean dollars, you can use my referral link at www.ipuservices.com/user/signup/?referred_by=IPU077019 (temptation too great, hoho).  It might be beneficial if I wasted $150 on a division manager spot, I really have no clue.  It does give me a few imaginary pennies.

I did a bit more research & apparently there was some "semi-legit" company called "Digital Generation" that did something similar and actually did issue a few payouts before stopping (?).

Some junk at:  https://www.google.com/#q=%22ipu+services%22+%22digital+generation%22&start=0

But it's hard to find anything of value, since you'll mostly just find a bunch of disguised referral links (or worse -- exercise caution if you navigate those results, hah).
45  Economy / Digital goods / WTS Batman: Arkham Origins @ 0.015BTC, WTS Radeon "Silver", pick 2 @ 0.024 on: January 14, 2014, 09:46:12 PM
Batman: Arkham Origins @0.014BTC, for steam code

other thing is a code you put into www.amd.com/radeonrewards and you pick two games out of the silver set.  thief, hitman absolution, sleeping dogs, deus ex human revolution (I think), far cry 3: blood dragon, and/or dirt 3.  i assume you'd pick thief + one other.  can't pick thief twice, at least from what i'm gathering from reading the terms.  anyway, it has to be redeemed by march 31st.  it's possible they may add some diff games or change some before then, i dunno.   selling that for 0.024 btc

bitcoins first, then i send the steam code for batman, code to put into www.amd.com/radeonrewards for the AMD Gaming Evolved silver reward thing.

(you may have to be located in north america to redeem this radeon gaming evolved thing?  i'm not sure.  if so, I guess I could redeem it & send the codes for the 2 games)

47  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS 7970 & 2x 7790's on: January 02, 2014, 02:25:16 PM
I'll use my nvidia card.

The 7970 is a Powercolor 7970 that I've had for about 4 months.  The 7790's are a Powercolor and XFX (not 100% sure on XFX).  I've had those for about 6 months.  The 7790's have done a maybe two months of mining, the 7970 has done some gaming and what not, since it's the card in my main computer... but it's not worth keeping it in my main computer, atm.

So, I'm willing to sell the 7970 for $400 and the 7790's for $215.  Both those prices include shipping, which is the box + all original accessories.  If you don't care about the box and accessories, then make it $390 and $200.

yes, I realize these prices are high, but it's about $100 less than I could make on Amazon or eBay for the same cards.

PM if you're interested

(re: my pool, I am mining on that now with three 5830's, a 7770, and the two 7790's)

ed: oh, i dont really expect to get an answer, so i'll be listing these on Amazon in about 24hrs.. prices higher there
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / a new "pseudo" worthless altcurrency on: December 20, 2013, 09:56:33 AM
i vote for someone with 1000+ posts to make a useless new altcoin.  it need not have any brilliant new ideas, just clone litecoin or sifcoin and change block subsidy amounts.

then we can proceed with the generation of moneys
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Frozen coin p2pools, etc. on: December 15, 2013, 02:11:00 PM
err, I don't see the main topic for this anymore

i have serious doubts about this client (and the coin itself) & so i've decided to shut both p2pools down.  sorry for lack of warning

54  Economy / Computer hardware / wtb ~60ghash avalon/BFL single or knc miners -- within 500 miles of dallas, tx on: November 15, 2013, 12:11:30 PM
for KNC Miners I'm referring to the mercury, saturn, jupiter.  i assume some mercury and saturn units are out there, just only see jupiters on here.

i'd much prefer to do local pickup, but if someone trusts me enough to send me the unit then have me pay, i'd be fine with that.    i could also arrange for a local pickup within 100 miles or so of memphis, tennessee or tulsa, OK

can pay it all in cash.  though obviously if it was something like a jupiter, it would require some extra steps (re: not going to meet up with some stranger with $5000 cash in my pocket)

anyway, PM me if you have anything and might be interested & what you're looking for.   i also have some used computer equipment that i could trade w/ as well as usd (two 750 watt gold cert psus, 1250 bronze cert psu, 920 silver cert psu, 2x850 watt bronze cert psu, msi 990fxa-gd80 mb, two evga 680i sli mb, some other motherboards, 3x 5870s, 2x 5830s, 1x 6990, 2x 7790, 1x 7770, 1x 7850 2GB, 1x 7850 1GB, 1x 7970, 6x8GB ddr3 sticks, 3x2GB DDR3, some other misc DDR3 memory, dozens of fans inc. some silverstones etc, asus rt-n66u router, switches, monitors, motorola sb5100 surfboard cable modem, couple DSL modems I don't recall the brand for, some new in box ibm model m 1391401 keyboards, and on and on and on).

ed:

ok, i'll give some starting points, since some people think i'm gonna pay over $1200 for a 60ghash machine

I just got rid of one for ~$1050 (or more like $1100 now).  I'm not going to pay $1200 (or $1400) for one.  Try something like $800

I'm not going to pay $10,000 for a Jupiter

I'm not going to pay $400 for some PoS 12ghash thingamajig
55  Economy / Computer hardware / [sold] on: November 13, 2013, 04:16:32 AM

Overlaps a bit; I have a relative in Austin that's savvy enough that I'd trust to purchase in my stead.

Would want to be able to see that it works before making final purchase.

I'll pay $2000 cash for it, no money orders, cashier's checks, or any of that bs.

Yes, lower than what a lot of people would offer, but most people wouldn't drive over to a stranger's house with $2000 in cash on their person, either

The thing is, I don't want to firewall these nodes as I receive blocks from some of them.  Anyone have any clue as to wtf the deal is?   Is there a way to stop this w/o firewalling the nodes themselves?  Does the message even matter?  Can I just ed -s debug.log <<< $'g/ProcessMessage/d\nw' it out of there or what?

It's the 'BS Satoshi 0.8.99' nodes.

Is there some purpose to these nodes?  They all connect within a few seconds of me restarting bitcoind & appear to do absolutely nothing
