101  Other / Meta / ★ Benefit of Merit Competition on Signature Campaign ★ on: March 09, 2019, 06:51:39 PM
Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my thread. Today I am going to share a matter which looks very effective on my eyes for our community. It relates with signature campaign. I had applied on bustadice signature campaign though I had not accepted but I discover something interesting from the activities of campaign manager yahoo62278 . As a applicants I read their main thread and find that campaign manager have put additional stake for few participants  who will make most constructive post.

After visiting the spread sheet I discover the process of choosing most constructive users. Campaign manager select them based on their earn merit per week. As a new user of bitcointalk I see this kinda merit competition on a signature campaign for the first time. I am not sure that any other manager have previously done this kind of competition or not.

Honestly this matter impressed me a lot. I believe merit competition increase the quality of users post which can minimize spam on our forum. I think if other managers follow this strategy by putting bonus stake for constructive users then it will encourage community users to make quality posts. I am not only suggesting this for BTC signature but also for other signature campaign. As far as I know stake distribution fully depend on managers hand and it will not be difficult for them to put few bonus stake for those users. In one side its creating competition among participants to make quality post for achieving bonus. On the other hand forum will get quality posts, unique ideas and obviously going to the next level.

Special Note: I am not sure that my thread is appropriate for this section or not. If not please feel free to suggest.

Lets see their unrealstic offer:

Western Union transfers. Pay with BTC and receive clean $ money to pick up where you want. Make money with us!

Prices of Western Union transfers:

1000$ Transfer = 150$ BTC
2500$ Transfer = 250$ BTC
3500$ Transfer = 350$ BTC
5000$ Transfer = 500$ BTC

For example, if you pay $150 worth of BTC you will receive a $1000 Western Union transfer

It is to notify everyone that this guy is offering 1000$ western union instead of 250$ which is nothing but a trap of stealing money. Anyone can easily detect his scam packages IMO. This guy is also giving fake reviews by using another alt account. Please stay far from this.

What happened: No team, No concept & huge supply.
They mentioned team here: https://bitcoinblack.net/community
But these are just peoples who registered there. In real they have no team members.

please read a part of their whitepaper
Quote
Bitcoin is in a cycle which will discourage people from cryptocurrency and remove
hope of cryptocurrency being an ecosystem for the people, making it seem like an
enemy as the majority of people enter at the wrong time due to the media.
Bitcoin takes power from the people as it's heavily manipulated and through cycles
which discourages participants from cryptocurrency in general.

They are talking against bitcoin on their whitepaper but how surprising is that they want to raise Bitcoin by their ICO. you can check it here that they are continuing their presale by using bitcoin payment method.
https://bitcoin.black/product/pre-sale-packet-900000-coins-stage-4/

For your information today I found this user mbelgasmi and here is post history. When I click his referral link its redirect on Bitcoin black website.

Total supply: (36 000 000 000) Just look at their total supply. I think they just use the name of bitcoin only to get investors attention but in real they are totally spreading news against bitcoin. I will suggest to read their whitepaper to know details about this possible scam.

105  Economy / Reputation / ★ Fake Team members photo supplier for ICO ★ on: March 03, 2019, 08:00:50 AM
Hello Everyone,

I found an user on our forum who is selling fake team members photo for ICO. Which is completely illegal in my opinion. Waiting to see others opinion.

Thread link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5116264.0

Archive link: http://archive.is/N2QeR

Profile link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2555843

Its really surprising that where we trying our best to detect fake ICO team members to stop scam but this user is selling fake team photo. Its nothing but encouraging ICO scammers to commit another scam IMO.

Where will he find those photographs? I think he will steal it from another peoples identity or from any hacked database. I hope DT members will put their attention on this case soon.

106  Other / Beginners & Help / Do you know how should be your topic title? on: March 03, 2019, 05:10:45 AM
Hello Everyone,

Welcome guys to my thread. Today I am going to share an important guideline about thread title. Before today I wasn't careful enough about this matter. Personally I always try to read old topic during my leisure time to expand my own knowledge about this community. As a regular approach today I found something very useful for our community users & I think its gonna help newbies like us.

Although I know using full quote isn't a good practice but for better understanding I am going to use this here:
Moderators here typically don't require you to use good titles for topics, but I thought I'd post some guidelines for anyone wondering how best to write a title.

Include enough info in the title so that readers can mostly guess what your topic is about. Try to condense your topic's main idea into a few sentences. Ideally, people should be able to write useful, on-topic replies by just reading the title (though this sometimes isn't possible).

Terrible titles include:
- "A question"
- "I was wondering..."
- "Someone help me"
These titles are better, though still not great:
- "A question about Bitcoin-Qt"
- "Survey of the community"
- "I have a problem with the forum"
These titles are good:
- "Bitcoin-Qt takes too long to start. How can I speed it up?"
- "Poll: What is your gender?"
- "Whenever I try to send a PM, the forum gives me an error"

When asking a question, never use a title like "How to send BTC"; it makes the topic look like a guide on how to do something instead of a question about how to do it.

Some people like to put "tags" in the title within brackets. Like "[GLBSE] [ANNOUNCE] ASDF: Generic asset". I personally don't like this style. I prefer to include the tag info within the sentence, like "Announcing ASDF, a generic asset on GLBSE". When tags are really necessary, it may indicate that a new subforum should be created.

Use normal capitalization, not "newspaper capitalization". "Thread title style guide" instead of "Thread Title Style Guide". Capitalize the first letter of the title unless it a trademark like "eMachines".

Omit unimportant leading words. "Selling $100" instead of "I'm selling $100". Other than that, it's best to write a grammatically correct sentence if doing so does not make the title annoyingly long.

If the title is composed of only one sentence, don't include a period at the end. If it contains two or more sentences, put a period after each sentence, including the last. Questions must end with a question mark.

It is to notify all our newbies that this quote is the guideline of our forums admin @theymos. Where he explain the whole matter about writting a proper title for a thread. There some special things described beautifully such as terrible title, medium quality title, good title, subjects clarity, writting tags, use of capitilazation and avoiding unimportant words. Personally I got clear ideas from these about which are better to use or not as a title. I will try my best to follow those instruction in future.

In my opinion forum admin described about this by his own and hopefully if we follow carefully then it will obviously going to increase our threads quality.

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my thread. Today i am going to share my investigation result of an ongoing ICO project called "Dreampot". I want to put your attention to their website partnetship section. There you will be able to find that they are showing partnership with Changelly, Binance, Google chrome, Trust wallet and more. I search on their website and social media where i didn't find any announcement regarding partnership with " Dreampot". Even there is no clickable link on their partnership section where you could find anything about their partnership. On the other hand they are not providing any whitepaper, team and roadmap. Another interesting thing is that you can't find any concept behind their project. Why they are raising fund actually. I think its nothing but a complete scam.

What happened: Fake partnership, no whitepaper, team, roadmap.

I will suggest everyone to be careful about this project.

110  Other / Beginners & Help / ★ A Complete Guideline to use forum search button properly ★ on: February 25, 2019, 06:27:27 AM
Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my thread. All of us know that there is a search option on the upper right side of forum. If we have any queation on our mind then we can easily search the answer by clicking on forum search engine. Unfortunately we don't know the proper use of this search option. Even I got a lot of new things about this search option today which was unknown to me. Today i reaearch sbout it after seeing the reply of our forum admin.

note that if you use the search box in the upper right while in a topic, it searches only that topic.

If you are reading a topic and use search button during that time then search engine will search on that topic only.
So if you search something others which isn't relate with topic then you will not get any result. You can get confused about your search but it doesn't mean that this question has no answer. You can get it easily again.

How could you use search button properly?

1. If you want to search anything on a specific thread then you will have to open that thread first. After that
you can use search button to get all your answer easily.

For example you want to search your stacked bitcoin address. First you have to open this thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0

Then you will have to use the search button for getting your answer easily.

2. If you want to search on a specific board then you will have to open that board first. After that you can use search button to get all your answer easily. As an example you want to search something about trading. Then first you will have to open Trading discussion to get all your answer.

3. If you can't decide to where to search about your question then you can use forums homepage search button directlly for getting your answer. This search result will be a combine answer where it can be kinda difficult for you to find your one.

4. Use Advance search option for more advantage. You can make google search, seach by user, search by message age and many more here.

Special note: Search option will not show you any non public board. For example If you are below member rank then you can't search on Investigation.

111  Other / Meta / Force to Reset Password on: February 24, 2019, 07:31:09 PM
Hello Everyone,

In recent times bitcointalk account hacking has been a big concern for us. We are getting thread where members are claiming for their hacked account and facing a hard situation to recover it. In current system there is a option "Always stay logged in". If you click on that then you don't need to put login details untill you use log out option. Many of us use google "save password" option for log in.

As a result we may forget our password because of not using it for a long time. On the other hand many users use same password for all online accounts and its an opportunity for hackers to hack their account easily.

How it will be if forum force to reset password in every 2 month? For example if someone didn't change his/her password during this time frame then he/she will redirect to password reset page after log in. After reset a new password he/she will be able to log in again.

In my opinion if this force password system implement by our forum then it will not be easier for hackers to hack users account. From my experience i have seen this force password system on some banking website where they force to reset their users account password in every 2 or 3 month. If hackers be able to steal users account info somehow still then they will not be able to use it for a long time due to force password system.
112  Other / Meta / ★ Proposal for a warning message on Announcements(Altcoins) board ★ on: February 23, 2019, 07:51:27 PM
Hello guys,

Welcome everyone to my thread. Today I am going to make a proposal for showing a warning on Announcements (Altcoins) section. As we all know that in Investor-based games section a warning shows there for all when anyone click on any thread.. After seeing the situation of ICO scam i realize that we need a same kind of warning on Announcements(Altcoins) section.

Every single member of this forum know that bitcointalk has a great value on whole crypto world. Not only the members of bitcointalk invest on ICO but also many investor come from outside of the forum. These investor take the forum as a source of guideline for their investment. Honestly when I wasn't a member of this forum at that time I have followed bitcointalk ANN thread before my investment. Because most of the ICO projects use bitcointalk ANN thread link on their website along with social media links. In recent times ICO scam increasing rapidly and these scammers are targeting bitcointalk to promote their project easily. So I think its necessary to have an warning on ANN section too. If a warning shows there then investors can easily understand that there is always risks in ICO investment and forum doesn't moderate any likely scam.

For example when you click on  Investor-based games sections thread you will see this warning;

Quote
Warning: You are in the Gambling section. You are likely to eventually lose any money that you gamble/"invest". Additionally, moderators do not remove likely scams. You must use your own brain: caveat emptor. Do not gamble more than you can afford to lose.

How it will be if we see a warning on Announcements (Altcoins) sections thread.

Warning could be like this:

Quote
Warning: You are in the Announcements (Altcoins) section. You are likely to eventually lose any money that you "invest" on any new coin. Additionally, moderators do not remove likely scams. You must use your own brain: caveat emptor. Do not invest more than you can afford to lose. Forum is not affiliated with any Altcoin.
113  Other / Meta / Why newbie able to create poll but can't submit vote ? on: February 23, 2019, 07:17:33 AM
Hello Everyone,

Bitcointalk forum is a place where every single member have the freedom to express their own thoughts and ideas. But one thing that took my attention is that in this forum a newbie can't submit his/her vote on a poll. But he/she can open a poll. I think this rules should be reconsider by our forum admin @theymos.

Here is a thread link where a newbie feeling confused about his voting power.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5113356.msg49876363#msg49876363

But I see here on the forum that newbie members are able to create a poll.

Here is the link:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5111656.0

But its confirmed by forum admin @theymos that newbies will not be able to submit vote. You can see this here,

Previously, anyone could vote in polls. Now you must be at least a Jr. Member. This should make vote manipulation more difficult, though you should still not rely on forum polls for real accuracy.

I am agree with our admin decission that newbies will not be able to vote due to voting manipulation. But if they can't submit vote then why they should allow to create a voting poll.

In my opinion we usually see voting on democratic countries where without being a voter you can't be a candidate or a participant on their voting system. I think if a newbie can't submit vote here on current forum system then should not be allowed here to create a poll too.

I created this new thread because our current voting rules looks conflicting to me

114  Economy / Scam Accusations / ★ Please read carefully before Install any coin wallet on your device ★ on: February 21, 2019, 09:30:51 AM
Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my thread. Today i am going to talk about an concerning issue. Recently wallet related scam has been very common. If anyone visit our forum's Scam accusation section than he/she can easily findout multiple claim about wallet scam. Its already been a concern for crypto holders to keep their fund secure.

I am going to share some instruction to keep yourself protected from this kind of wallet hacking incidents.

You can follow these steps:

1. Please don't Install/login/Register any wallet from third party websites or social media like facebook, twitter, telegram, reddit, medium and many more like them.

2. Try to Install wallet from original official website. Every coin have their official website where you will find their wallet download link.

3. Please try to stay away from searching a wallet on google. It is to notify that there's been a couple of phishing websites who copy the similarities of other coins original websites. If you visit and download wallet from those phishing websites then they will steal your coin instantly. Even on playstore there's been a lot of fake wallet apps too. So i recommend everyone to visit Coinmarketcap first and you can easily find your desired coins original website by searching on there.

As an example you want to Install Monero wallet. You can follow below instruction by visiting Coinmarketcap to get the original wallet download link >

115  Economy / Reputation / ★ We want @marlboroza on DT1 again ★ on: February 20, 2019, 09:31:26 AM
Hello everyone,

As a member of bitcointalk I think we need someone like marlboroza on DT1 list. In early days he has done a tremendous job against scammers, spammers and many more like them to keep the forum secure. Having a DT1 member like him can be a threat for those who always try to commit fraudlent activities.

I beleive vote on be half of him has been increased than past. Even he was not in my trust list before but right now i also added him on my custom trust list. There's may be personal reason for having this decission from his side. I don't want to ask any question on that purpose where he doesn't want to give any answer. But  from my own perspective i want to see him on DT1 again.

IMO marlboroza always serve the forum with his great investigating power. Which members I follow in bitcointalk for my inspiration marlboroza is one of them.

I beleive its our time to show respect and love for him.

116  Other / Beginners & Help / ★ Gambling vs Forex vs Crypto Trading ★ on: February 20, 2019, 06:04:09 AM
Hello guys,

Today I am going to share my own experience about gambling, forex & Crypto trading. Although i am new in the forum but Its already been 5 years that i am connected with crypto trading, forex & gambling. I think its like a puzzle for new users to take decision where to start or not. Many of us working hard to earn from online  and looking for a reliable source of earning. For that reason i will try to describe my own experience with all of our new comers.

Gambling

Gambling is a popular source of earning. There's been a lot of gambling projects going on successfully. Its true that you can earn a lot from gambling if your luck is on your favour. Here you have a big chance to make it 2x,4x,10x and on the other hand your balance could be zero too.

Personally i will suggest not to engage with gambling without enough fund. If you have fund limitation than you can't cover your loses where big amount holders can do it easily. Many people beleive that if you maintain good strategy on gambling than you can earn a lot. But in real i think it has no value. As an example you put bet on bet365 where you select football team Barcelona on spanish la liga as your side. Yeah its true that Barcelona is strong enough to win but you can't be 100% sure. So there is no way to deny that gambling is nothing but a risky source of earning.

Forex

Forex is a famous source of earning for online investors. Millions of people worldwide connected with forex. From my experience its is a good platform to trade foreign currency. But it is to notify that without enough knowledge and experience you can't make profits there. where i beleive if anyone wants to engage with forex he/she should learn every single basic.

As an example i wish many of our users knows about IQ option. Its a broker of binary trading where you have a chance to make your fund 100x in a couple of minutes. But there's chances to make your fund zero too. Its kinda simillar with gambling. There's many brokers available in forex but you always have to put it on mind that your strategy & knowledge will play the main role.

Crypto Trading

Crypto currency is showing its power to all over the world. Where its already been a favourite destination for online investors and traders. There's been a lot of advantags in crypto trading for a new user. Crypto trading have got lower amount risks than gambling & forex. Where in gambling & forex you always have a chance that your fund can be zero.  But in crypto trading you can get notifications from exchanges if any of your purchased token or coin going to be delisted. There's always a chance for you to recover your fund.

Yeah as like as other source of earning you need your own strategy, knowledge & experience for crypto trading. Its a place where you can invest and hold an established coin easily for your future profits.

 Honest Review from myside:

I want to say for our new comers that its not an easy task to earn from online. Before invest somewhere you should learn regarding knowledges about your targeted source of earning. I beleive its your skill, strategy, and experience will guide you to your bright future. Personally its been a long time I left gambling and also not so regular on forex now. In recent time i am totally spending time with crypto trading. As a trader I beleive its a golden chance  to make a entry on crypto world. Its going be a wise decision to invest and hold crypto IMO.

117  Economy / Reputation / A question about hacked/sold account of @Apriand on: February 19, 2019, 09:38:57 AM
Thread link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5071715.msg48034435#msg48034435

Question raised by Findingnemo
user tried to sell his account literally for his need and I have seen many have tagged for attempt of selling but in this case want to see the stance of DT members. Roll Eyes

Hello guys,

I wish this thread will turn our DT members attention here. If anyone read this members thread carefully he can easily understand that @Apriand account has not been hacked. He clearly confessed that he handover his account for 1 month to another person. Now he got his account back by the help of forum recovery team. Recently he asks our DT members to remove red tag from his recovered account. Surprisingly DTs are removing their feedback also.

Now the Main fact is @Apriand handover his account by taking money from that person. Which is clearly simillar to account selling.

Some question already raised in my mind. Such as;

1. Is it trusthworthy to handover account by taking money?
2. He confessed that he take money from the buyer of his. account. Did he refund to that person? Because already he recovered his account and he didn't submit any proof that he return that borrowed money.
3. What could be then if that person commit any scam during 1 month use.

My opinion:
I think our DT members should reconsider this matter before removing their red tag from that account.
118  Other / Beginners & Help / ★ Keep your role on default trust (DT) selection ★ on: February 18, 2019, 06:06:39 PM
"Keep your role on default trust (DT) selection"

Welcome to my thread. I think we have already got so many thread on forum which are relates to default trust selection system. I don't want to repeat those discussion again. Today i am going share some important information for our new users and IMO those will encourage them to play their role during DT selection.

What is default trusted (DT) member ?

Default trusted member specially works to keep the forum safer for its users. They are here to protect users from scammers, spammers and many more activities which are not accepted by forum community. They have got the power to take proper action against anyone who have committed fraudulent activities on forum.

What is DT1 ?

Which members are selected by voting system they get the place on DT1 list. To be a DT1 member you have to add 10 people on your custom trust list. Details will be shared bellow. You will find active DT1 members here.

What is DT2 ?

DT2 directly selected by DT1 members. Which members are in DT1 members custom trust list they called DT2 member. You can find active DT2 members here.

What is the eligibility of voting ?

If any member got 10 earn merit he/she is completely eligible to submit vote. Every 10 earn merit opens 1 vote for you. That means if you have 20 earn merits you can vote 2 person for DT1 selection. As it will increase depending on your total earn merit. Another thing is that if you have 30 earn merit but you submit 5 vote in that situation algorithm will select your vote for only 3 person. It will be on algorithms hand and no one knows for whom your vote will be counted.

How to submit your vote ?

To submit your vote you have to click on your profile first and then you can follow this users instruction for successful voting. Please take a look here;

Everything is correctly written, but I would have added more pictures for greater clarity.

How the custom trust list works ?

By using custom trust list you can vote someone during DT selection. If you include anyone on your custom trust list than its clear that you have trust on his/her judgement and feedback. According to your trust list  his/her feedback will be shown to you by default even he is not in the DT list.

As same as as if you exclude anyone from your custom trust list that means you don't have trust on his/her judgement and feedback. By default his feedback will not be visible to you.

What is Depth ?

If you select depth 1 in your trust setting than you will only be able to see the rating of DT1 members only. Its need to know that whoever included by you in your custom trust list they are DT1 for you. If you select depth 2 than all rating of DT1 & DT2 will be visible by default to you. Whoever on your custom trust list and also who are in their custom trust list will be DT2 for you. Their feedback will also be visible to you by default. Same calculation for depth 3 & depth 4

Why should you vote on DT selection?

Forum has given the opportunity to select your mostly trusted person by submitting your vote. I believe you can select them which members judgement you trust. As a citizen of your country you select your favorite party on your countries governmental election. where i believe  its your responsibility to choose the right one for ruling the country. As same as here on DT selection you have your choice and responsibility too.

What is inclusion and exclusion ?

Inclusion is the way you add someone on your custom trust list as instructed above. On the other hand if you don't like anyones judgement than you can exclude him/her from your custom trust list. You just have to use this tilde (~) before that members name to exclude.

Do you have chance to be a DT1 member ?

Yes, you have the chance if you select by current voting system which already described above. To check the requirement you may visit here.

Is it possible to be removed from DT list ?

Yes, That is the advantage of new DT system. DT1 members can remove anyone from DT instantly if he/she is corrupted. For example if Majority of the DT member exclude you than you will be removed from the DT list. Suppose you included by 3 DT1 member but 4 DT1 member exclude you than you will be removed from there.

Finally I believe every responsible member of this forum should keep their role on DT selection. Its the only way how we can choose our best faces for the improvement of our forum.
119  Other / Meta / @theymos It's time to make DT blacklist. on: January 30, 2019, 02:41:12 PM
Hello everyone,

Just few days earlier our honourable forum admin theymos introduced us with new DT selection system. By this new selection system recently we got our new promising DT faces.

But its really annoying that some users of the forum are trying to manipulate the whole DT selection system. Every single person discussing there is untrustworthy and bearing  red trust on their profile. IMO its a combined group members who are doing this together.

Forum honourable admin theymos has promised that he will handle the manipulation directly by himself.

Even if someone was openly talking about trying to form a strategic DT1 manipulation group for the express purpose of undermining the system, such a topic should not be deleted; rather, I'd look to handle this within the DT1 selection criteria.

Theymos should take proper steps to stop this kind of activities. This guys are completely manipulating the DT selection system. Even they deleting continiously other members comment from the thread. You can take a look on the thread & i wish you can easily understand how they are manipulting. Even they are discussing to manipulate by posting on local sections too.

I think its time to make a DT blacklist for upcoming DT selection. Otherwise situation will be much complicated. DT members are taking actions to stop scam, spam and fraudlent activities but every time some guys putting false blame on them.
