So back in 2018 I invested 720ETH in what looked like a very promising ICO - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2064991
The team behind it looked very professional, the White paper well written and overall, the idea very promising, so I decided to invest.
Basically the idea was to purchase properties with the invested money and then receive rent based on your invested amount.

From memory around 34k ETH were invested in the project, which were originally sold at $800 each, but because they couldn’t find a bank to hold it they had to buy back ETH and again sell it at $300 at a later date.
Then a number of properties were purchased in Thailand and I started receiving rent until COVID hit us.

There are too many details to mention as to what happened next, but as it stands now the company went in liquidation, which I very strongly believe was a premeditated and planned exit scam.
I have a copy of their entire website + all documents related to the purchase of the properties (deeds, lease agreements).

I am currently preparing a plan of action and any advice is greatly appreciated as I am willing to spend thousands of dollars to try and recover some of my investment.

Made a deposit of less than 10K euros and got the usual KYC list of excessive questions, which I promptly replied to.
Since then complete silence, which is now 9 days.
9 days with no reply.

Their customer support is completely inadequate for the types of customers you are serving.
They cannot run an extremely time sensitive trading business and not match it with the same level of support. It just doesn't make sense when dealing with large volumes of currency.
I feel that trying to complaint to Bitstamp will have the same result as screaming in the middle of a forest - I won't be heard and nothing will change.

At this point I am furious as they are holding my money hostage and completely ignoring me.

In these circumstances I feel forced to file an official complaint with the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier in Luxembourg in line with their Out-of-court complaint resolution service.
Additionally based on the excessive and unreasonable level of questioning I feel inclined to also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office as you are registered as a DATA controller with them.

But I would rather talk with them and resolve this.

So I am updating my Resume/CV and would need some help on what is the best way to add my mining, trading and ASIC reselling activities on my CV, so that it looks great to any potential future employer. Do you think that is a good idea?

I want to add it under Employment history, but can't think of a way to add all 3 activities under one section.
Also how best to describe it with words, so that it sounds really appealing.

I've been looking for ways to make Bitcoin and Bitcoin related services that I use more secure and have found Yubikey (the generic one and not the MTGox one). But after some research a few things are still unclear to me:

1 - The Yubikey can only be used in Static Password mode for encrypting the Bitcoin wallet. Correct?
2 - How secure is using the Yubikey in Static Password mode. Can a software keylogger record the password being sent form the Yubikey to the Bitcoin-QT application?
3 - What is the difference between OATH-HOTP and OTP mode in easy to understand terms?
4 - Which mode of the Yubikey corresponds to Google Authenticator on Android?
5 - I read that Yubikey uses an authentication server. So how does that work exactly? Does it do some online check every time I press the button?
6 - How secure do you think it is in general? Is it a good layer of security for any online services (exchanges, online wallets, etc)
7 - Can I use 1 Yubikey for more than 1 service/website or is this a security flaw?

I'm seriously considering to get a refund on the delivery charges ($240 for 2 Jupiters) and go get them myself.
I spoke with Sam today, who was absolutely certain that all orders will be ready by 15th October ad he will be able to give me at least a 48h notice of when they will be ready to collect.
So I did some research and here are my findings:

• RyanAir seems the cheapest
• RyanAir offers to buy and Extra Item Seat* so I can buy a single ticket to go there and basically 2 singles to come back - around $100
• The miner fits just perfectly within the hand baggage allowance - 7kg and 50x40x20cm vs 10kg and 55x40x20cm, so will just put it in a strong plastic bag.
• Airport Security shouldn't be a problem - it's computer hardware with no power supply, batteries or liquids and won't be damaged by the xray scanning machine.

Anyone thinking of doing the same? Have I missed anything, that might impede my return back to UK?

* - To book an extra seat for an item the word "ITEM SEAT" must be entered as the surname and "EXTRA" must be entered at the first name. So SEPA withdrawals can only be made if I have euros in MTGox or any other exchange. If I have USD then I'll have to buy Bitcoin and sell them for euro?

I'm based in the UK and I want to know what will happen if I request a SEPA withdrawal - is that even possible if I give UK bank account details.

I just spoke with my bank and they said they only support SWIFT international transfers and the guy wasn't even aware of what SEPA is.

My questions are valid for all exchanges btw.


P.S - I am aware of the looooong delays in MTGox withdrawals.
