2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Premium Domain Name is the Best Asset for a Gambling Startup on: September 30, 2019, 05:58:20 PM
Of all the casino sites advertising on this forum, only few has great domain names. These 1% few are the smartest of casinos on this forum and they are certainly the biggest and most profitable. This is because the ingredient of success in Gambling business is in the quality of the domain name you choose.

A domain name builds your brand. If your domain name matches your company name, it reinforces your brand, making it easier for customers to remember and return. It will also be easier to win business via word of mouth because customers will remember your name and pass it along to friends.

Make no mistake about it, the internet is a .com world. If your domain name is anything outside .com, you are simply wasting your valuable marketing resources. It is not by chance that some of the biggest and most successful Gambling sites in the world, and on this forum, are on .com domain names. Anything outside .com is a pure waste of time and resources.

Ask Edward Craven, Stunna, and their co-founders how much they acquired Stake.com domain name. I'd be surprised if they spent anything less than a million USD on the name. You think they are stupid? Certainly not. On the contrary, they are among the smartest investors who understands what it takes to succeed in this crowded ecosystem.

Till this day, Sportsbet.io still loose significant amount of traffic to their .com counterpart, and would have been far bigger than what they are today if they had acquired the Sportsbet.com.

Casinos with great category specific domain names such as FortuneJack.com will always control the largest market share. The rest who operates on junk names are either wasting their times or losing out from great market opportunities.

You don't settle for a domain name because you like it. Settle for a domain name that your potential customers could easily identify with. And there is no better domain extension than .com, not even close, as you can see from the chart below.

Breakdown of Domain Extension for Startups in 2019

When considering domain name values there are many factors to consider. Domain names that are short, category defining, and meaningful are the most valuable. Even if your domain is meaningful but lack the .com extension, it is still as bad as meaningless domains. Make out a budget to acquire a premium domain name because your best marketing material for your gambling business is your domain name. That's what your potential customers would have to remember and deal with, most of the times. So, choose wisely!

4  Other / Politics & Society / Democratic Donor Ed Buck Charged After Another Overdose on: September 18, 2019, 06:39:59 AM

According to the LA Times, prominent California donor Ed Buck was charged with battery causing injury, operating a drug house and providing methamphetamine to a 37-year-old who overdosed at his home in West Hollywood last week. Buck has faced scrutiny in the past year after several mysterious drug-related deaths at his home.
5  Other / Politics & Society / Should Trump Focus his Media Attack on MSNBC? on: September 12, 2019, 08:53:49 PM
That network makes CNN look like a child play. I mean, have you watched MSNBC lately? They dedicate their entire programs insulting The President of the United States, portraying him as a lier, a conman, corrupt, and in fact, the worst criminal on earth. MSNBC has really become something else. They are 100% in the business of hating Trump, and they do it with pure anger and hatred.

What exactly has Trump done wrong to elicit such hatred, other than he won a legitimate election fair and square?

Do you think Trump, and indeed, every patriotic American should seriously speak up against the network and its programming?
6  Other / Politics & Society / Campaign to Establish Islamic State in Belgium on: September 06, 2019, 01:32:27 PM
A Muslim Party in Belgium is campaigning and promoting to establish an Islamic state in their new country, being Belgium. France is also currently under serious pressure to adapt to Muslim ways of life and make way for Islamic state. Sweden and Germany are not left out. Could this be true? What do you think is the future of Europe?

According to a Twitter user,
Quote
This is so wrong and so dangerous. Presumably, when you move to a new country, you should become a contributing citizen. Here, they want to force their hosts to adapt to their culture, way of life, and rules to live by. Europe is gone, Canada is next, then the US.
7  Other / Politics & Society / The Obamas $15 Million Mansion - A Complete Hypocrisy on: August 27, 2019, 12:38:03 PM
Unlike President Trump, who earned his money before taking office, the Obamas have benefited handsomely from their time in the White House.

How did they make their money? President Obama only earned the standard $400,000 salary when he was in office, but after leaving, he and his wife Michelle acquired a joint book deal worth $65 million, high-priced speaking engagements and a deal with Netflix. Now they are rolling in dough.

As a capitalist, I am all in favor of people making as much money as they want and spending it how they please. However, this lavish new abode is quite a statement in hypocrisy from the former president, who spent his presidency demonizing everyone else's success.

What was their stands about Success? From telling small-business owners they “didn’t build that” to the 2018 speech in which he said, "There’s only so much you can eat. There’s only so big a house you can have. There’s only so many nice trips you can take. I mean, it’s enough," the former president has spent his life spreading messages that disparage success.

As Foxnew Reporter who reported this says - As many of my Twitter followers have pointed out, he must not believe in the climate change his Democratic peers are pushing. If he did, he would believe his $15 million investment on the small island will be underwater — quite literally — in just over a decade.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What if Bitcoin was Created by the CIA, FBI, US Military??? on: August 27, 2019, 09:40:17 AM
What if Bitcoin was actually created by the CIA, or FBI, US Military to gather some intelligence? This weird imagination has been lingering in my brain because Bitcoin has all the signatures of what the USA Intelligence can create, Similar to the way they have created things in the past.

1. No one has ever created something as big and enormous as Bitcoin and chooses to remain anonymous. The temptation is always too strong for a mortal human being to resist.

2. I am of the opinion that Bitcoin is too complex to be the handwork of one man or few persons. And how it was quickly accepted and distributed shows the evidence of complex and thorough planning, too thorough, and too complex to fit into one brain Roll Eyes

3. How the founders identities were carefully concealed from beginning to the end, without any trace. You will agree with me that only intelligence professional can achieve that level of privacy and anonymity.

And you know, they won't make noise about it until they have gathered enough intelligence. Or may never say anything about it forever, just using it secretly for their purpose. What do you think? Have you ever reasoned in this direction?
9  Economy / Lending / Is Loan of 1.5BTC Possible to Get Here? on: August 24, 2019, 07:33:55 PM
Is it possible to get a loan of 1.5BTC? What can one give as collateral?

I am a domain investor and I have total portfolio valued at $500k. Among them are some very popular domains. Are such assets acceptable here as collateral? If it's ok, then I need a loan of the said amount, and I can transfer three of my valuable domains valued by Estibot at $35k to a neutral account where it will be held until the loan is paid back.

Duration will be 120 days. The project requiring the loan will be completed with 60 day, while I use the remaining 60 days to raise back the loan.

Let me know your requirements and terms.

Thank you
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / What Would you Like to See in a New Casino Site on: August 24, 2019, 12:30:25 PM
I was wondering if there's any new thing you expects to see in a new Casino website that would make it truly unique? To me, it doesn't really matter if it's just a dice or multi casino platform. What I consider truly important is relationship with the customers/players. Not being shady, trying to game players with bogus Terms of Use. I also like proactive customer support and a platform run by knowledgeable operators.

Deposits, Bets and Withdrawals: I like instant deposit, doesn't matter if withdrawal is automatic as long as it is honored in a timely manner.

VIP: This seems pretty cool to me but not 100% necessary.

Support: Like I said, I like Casino site with proactive support. Live chat is a must to me if I am to use the platform. Although I may not use it, seeing it gives me a kind of assurance.

Prizes: This is neither Yes nor No to me

Games: Like I said, It could be one game or multiple games platform.

Auto-mode: Auto-mode with stop loss is cool to me too and will encourage players. I like cashout system.

Dice Speed: Slow-Medium speed dice.

These are popular features of current casino platforms. Do you think it's necessary to bring in new features or we should just limit it at these? Innovation is what drives every industry. So, I won't rule out the customer's desires. What are the features you always look out to see in a casino site that you would like to see in a new upcoming ones?

Thanks and feel free to say Hi to me in aanyway you can  Undecided
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: August 23, 2019, 12:46:40 PM
Politics seems predictable most of the time but looks like few people actually bet on it. Example, you know Joe Bidden has probably 50% chance of winning the Democrats primary. What stops you from picking and betting on that? Do you bet on politics and what are your winning stats.

Some time around October 2016 after the Access Hollywood tape was released, a certain betting site gave 108 to Trump winning the election. I believed strongly that Trump was going to win despite everything thrown at him. I had $5,000 and wanted to pick the odd. Somehow, I didn't follow through. That could have given me over half a million dollars in winning.

How often do you bet on Politics? Any reason why most people don't really bet on Politics? Do you know any trusted betting site that offers good odds in American Politics?
12  Other / Politics & Society / The Democrats Have no Credible Candidate Yet on: August 22, 2019, 07:03:29 PM
I have watched all the Democratic Candidates with keen interest, trying to figure out if there is any serious contender who's capable of taking on Trump. Sadly, I have seen none. Not even close! All I see are confused set of crazy loons who doesn't even know what they are vying for. Some are so out of touch that they choose to go to Mexico to organize rallies.  Roll Eyes

Everyone of them focusing on Trump even though they haven't got close to winning their own party primary, let alone coming face to face with Trump.

Are we looking at the biggest Presidential election landslide in the history of America? Who do you think is capable of taking of Trump, it doesn't matter the party? Because it seems Trump conquers everything and anything that stands in his way.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Satoshi Nakamoto is by no Means a Japanese on: August 21, 2019, 04:43:56 PM
Forget about what his wiki page is saying or whatever we have read about him. Reading through Satoshi's post on this forum, anyone with common sense and good understanding of English language could see clearly that the Bitcoin founder is by no means a Japanese. I spent the whole day reading through them, and here are some outstanding posts he made prior to his disappearance. The perfect use of English is telling and undeniable.

A longer interval than 10 minutes would be appropriate for BitDNS.

So far in this discussion there's already a lot of housekeeping data required.  It will be much easier if you can freely use all the space you need without worrying about paying fees for expensive space in Bitcoin's chain.  Some transactions:

Changing the IP record.

Name change.  A domain object could entitle you to one domain, and you could change it at will to any name that isn't taken.  This would encourage users to free up names they don't want anymore.  Generated domains start out blank and the miner sells it to someone who changes it to what they want.

Renewal.  Could be free, or maybe require consuming another domain object to renew.  In that case, domain objects (domaincoins?) could represent the right to own a domain for a year.  The spent fee goes to the miners in the next block fee.

Quote from: satoshi
Piling every proof-of-work quorum system in the world into one dataset doesn't scale.

Bitcoin and BitDNS can be used separately.  Users shouldn't have to download all of both to use one or the other.  BitDNS users may not want to download everything the next several unrelated networks decide to pile in either.

The networks need to have separate fates.  BitDNS users might be completely liberal about adding any large data features since relatively few domain registrars are needed, while Bitcoin users might get increasingly tyrannical about limiting the size of the chain so it's easy for lots of users and small devices.

Fears about securely buying domains with Bitcoins are a red herring.  It's easy to trade Bitcoins for other non-repudiable commodities.

If you're still worried about it, it's cryptographically possible to make a risk free trade.  The two parties would set up transactions on both sides such that when they both sign the transactions, the second signer's signature triggers the release of both.  The second signer can't release one without releasing the other.

Again, it seems that even @theymos may probably know his true identity (real names and address) according to a forum comment he made in 2010. Where he explained that certain set of first, second, and forth posts were permanently deleted because they probably contains Satoshi's real names and address.
14  Economy / Speculation / Who Else is Expecting the Ultimate Rise of Bitcoin? on: August 20, 2019, 10:50:39 AM
In January 2016 when Bitcoin was trading around $300+, I predicted it was going to bump to $1,000 by the next January (2017). It almost did as Bitcoin ended January 2017 at more than $900, few dollars shy of my actual prediction. Then I predicted again it was going to hit $20,000 in December 2017. Again, my prediction came short with less than $400 USD at $19,650 in 15 December 2017. After that, Bitcoin began a downward spiral and people started panicking. Everyone was prediction the end of Bitcoin.

Then again, in 14th December 2018 when Bitcoin was trading at $3,100, I held a seminar where I encouraged people to start saving up some Bitcoin, that the price was going to hit $10,000 within the next 12 months. Everybody in the room thought it was a joke. Here we are, just 9 months after the prediction, Bitcoin has traded at $11,000+. It is important to note that I made those predictions base on pure instincts and by observing market trends.

Now, I am making another bold prediction. This time, a long-term prediction, that Bitcoin will finally hit $100,000 before December 2022. Who agrees with me on this?

I was expecting Bitcoin to crash in July this year when Trump Tweeted his lack of faith in Cryptocurrency, but it didn't. That was a clear indication that Bitcoin has come of age. That no single person nor single policy is capable to bring the price down, rather the price is decided by the people's sentiments.

Effects of USD - One thing that will push the rise of Bitcoin to 100k per coin is the number of dollars in circulation. Bitcoin’s price (in dollars) will continue to rise exponentially as the number of dollars in circulation rises exponentially.

If the Federal Reserve continues printing dollars exponentially, the dollar price of Bitcoin will continue to rise exponentially, so eventually it will reach $100,000 per coin. And that is what is going to happen over the next few years. Why? Because the Fed and other central banks around the world believes that printing more currency bills will help boost the economy.

The effect of printing so many dollars is that the price of all goods and services (measured in dollars) will eventually rise to match the number of dollars printed. And Bitcoin is no exception, even though it's not a consumable asset.

Increased Awareness - As more and more people become aware of Cryptocurrency, the demand to buy into Bitcoin will increase, and that will help push the price even higher. Report shows that only 11% of Americans currently owns Bitcoin, while 88% have heard of it. It is estimated that the percentage of Americans who will own bitcoin in 2022 may increase to 50%. If the price continues to rise base on demand, 400% increase from the current number of ownerships will put the Bitcoin price at $50,000.

Time to Buy and Hold Some

While I am a strong advocate of releasing Bitcoin into circulation. I find it hard to resist the temptation to encourage you to start holding some amount of Bitcoin for the impending payday as we continue to watch and see where the market is heading to.

This may not be the best time to buy but you can still buy anyways.

Cheers!
15  Economy / Speculation / Why Bitcoin will Hit $100,000 in or Before 2022 on: August 19, 2019, 09:51:13 AM
Do you agree with me on my prediction that Bitcoin price will hit 100k before December 2022?

This upward movement will be fueled by People's sentiment and other important indicators. I also have a strong believe That no single person nor single policy is capable to bring the price down, rather the price is decided by the people's sentiments.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 08:17:09 AM
I got the 2BTC from a business deal around January this year. I knew that Bitcoin was going to bump anytime soon but still went ahead to sell at $3,000+ each. Why did I sell at such a ridiculously low rate when I could have gotten x3 of the value if I waited for few more months?

I was away in Dubai for work while my family were staying back home in my country. They were 100% dependent on me for food and sustenance. Allowing the BTC to sit in my wallet while my family suffers was not an option. So, I decided to sell and solve my immediate problems, to feed and cater for them. Did I make the wrong or right decision?

Well, no doubt I would have gotten $20,000+ if I retained the coin till now, but what if my family died of hunger? Money is as good as the problem it's able to solve. That's the lesson I want everyone to learn this. Very too often, I see people advising not to sell your Bitcoin, that you will gain more if you hold on and sell at later times. While that may be true, you still need to understand that Bitcoin is supposed to be money, not investment asset. It is meant to be spent on daily basis, to solve problems, and to be in constant circulation.

The idea of hoarding Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, waiting to sell at later times for higher returns is the reason Crypto is slow to adoption in mainstream transactions. Anyone who gets it try to hold on to it, as long as possible, thereby depriving the market the needed circulation to keep the currency viable and acceptable.

I once heard of a man who had Bitcoin and was sick. People advised him to sell and get the needed cure but he decided to endure the sickness and wait until the price goes up. He died of the illness and the Bitcoin was rendered useless, with no one having access to it.

Have you ever sold your BTC at low rate and it later bumped and you were regretting...?

Just understand that there is hardly a better time to sell your Bitcoin. Anytime you sell (at any amount) is a better time, provided you use the money wisely.

18  Economy / Gambling / Sportsbook Without a License on: October 18, 2018, 05:27:53 AM
I heard that most big and established betting sites/companies started without licenses. They were able to grow and become licensed and now controls the industry. I know one or two by name.

However, license has become almost a must these days if you're ever gonna be taken seriously in your sportsbook business.

Most software providers won't even think of releasing their software to you without a license.

Payment processors are simply a no-go area without a license.

Is it still possible to start and run a Gambling site without a License?

Now, talking in users perspectives-

Can a Sportsbook still be considered legitimate and okay without a license?

Do you know any operating (with consistent payout and good customer cares) without a license?

Can you bet with a betting site that has no license, maybe because they're starting new and currently has no money for licensing fee?

Thanks in advance for your opinions
