1  Bitcoin / Armory / Unrecognized! Trying to sign transaction on cold storage [solved] on: July 20, 2014, 10:30:17 AM
Hi,

I'm trying to sign a transaction on my cold storage, but armory will not let me do so. It gives me a big fat red "Unrecognized!" and when I press the "click here for more information about this transaction"-button I get this message: "Transaction is invalid and cannot be shown!"

What's going on here? This has never been a problem in the past.

Online Armory version: 0.91.99.8-beta
Cold storage Armory version: 0.90-beta

I don't know if it has already been posted, but I just came across this.

A shame it isn't bitcoin though, if it was, I might actually have bought one.

Still no word of a date, but this is at least another step in the right direction.

5  Other / Off-topic / How is your personal debt and savings ratio? on: April 26, 2014, 12:15:44 PM
I have always done my best only to live within my means and always save up before buying anything, as a result I have zero debt but on the downside I don't really own anything of value. I live in a rented flat since saving up for a house and paying for it in one go is neither practical nor something you do in a few years time.

I'm 30 years old now and I have only recently started saving for my retirement, but god I wish I started doing so 10 years ago. I live in a country with a large welfare system and high taxes so in theory I should be able to survive without doing so, but I have a feeling that when I get old there won't be enough money in the system to go around anymore. My savings are in PMs and now bitcoin, and I hide it as good as I can from everyone, including the government as they always punish those who do the "right" things with high taxes.

When I look around I see people at my age owning multiple cars and houses, and even though I know they payed for it with money they don't have it still makes me feel poor and to some extent a bit sad.

So, how is your personal debt and savings ratio and how does it affect your life?
6  Bitcoin / Armory / Xubuntu10.04 + Armory0.91-b + bitcoin-qt0.9.1 = Cannot find Bitcoin Installation on: April 26, 2014, 11:00:26 AM
Hi,

I've just upgraded my system to Xubuntu 14.04 and installed the newest Armory (0.91-beta), and I've added the Bitcoin repository and installed bitcoin-qt 0.9.1.0

However, Armory claims not to be able to "find the bitcoin installation". If I manually run bitcoin-qt from the terminal and then start up Armory it instructs me to close bitcoin-qt, but then again is not able to "find bitcoin"... There is no help to be found on the Armory website.

Can someone please guide a normal computer user to get this thing working?
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Armory - copy .armory and .bitcoin folders to a fresh linux installation? on: March 13, 2014, 01:38:21 PM
Just a quick question. I just lost a HD and have now installed linux on a new one. However I don't feels like spending the next 3 day downloading and processing 15 gigabytes of data Roll Eyes

Can I just copy the .armory and .bitcoin folders from my home directory of my laptop to my new fresh linux installation, without running into too many problems?
