81  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Google/ASUS Nexus 7 Tablet - Mint Condition on: September 03, 2012, 08:49:13 AM
Comes with everything I got it with, free shipping to the US. Basically brand new. These are going for a premium on eBay because they're out of stock everywhere, but I'll just sell it to you for what I paid for it. I'm looking for BTC25

You go first unless you're very reputable.

Thanks,
Garrett

Edit: It looks like Google has them in stock now. Sorry for misadvertising, at the time of writing they were out of stock everywhere! (Google doesn't sell them rooted and unlocked though Wink)

83  Economy / Computer hardware / Crosspost: [WTB] Mining Hardware for LTC on: August 21, 2012, 08:14:47 AM
Thread here: http://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,569.0.html

Quote from: Garr255
Cognitive-LTC will have it's IPO in the coming days, and we're going to need to get some hardware together. Right now I'm looking for one full 4 GPU rig. I hope I will be able to expand Cognitive-LTC far beyond this in the future, but this is how we will start.

I want to pre-arrange an order so we can get mining as fast as possible.

Thanks,
Garrett
84  Economy / Securities / Cognitive-LTC -- Which exchange? on: August 21, 2012, 06:04:35 AM
https://cryptostocks.com/ has been around for a while and was originally a Bitcoin exchange. https://www.litecoinglobal.com/ Is fairly new and solely intended for Litecoin. I think LitecoinGlobal will be the best bet because Litecoin is their only focus, but I'm going to leave it up to you. Whichever gets the most votes here will determine what we do.

Either way, I look forward to establishing Cognitive-LTC.

-Garrett

EDIT:

If GLBSE fully supports LTC within the duration of this poll, we will use GLBSE.

85  Economy / Currency exchange / WTS BTC or MTGox USD for Dwolla or Cash on: August 20, 2012, 06:58:05 AM
I have about $1000 Gox that I need to get out of there. Trusted members can send me cash or a check, all others must be Dwolla (unless we meet in person). I will give you btc at market rate upon receipt of cash/dwolla or clearing of the check, or GoxUSD. I'm in Northern Idaho.

I'm also interested in Norwegian Krone, Swiss Franc, and Japanese Yen.

Thanks,
Garrett
86  Economy / Securities / Cognitive-LTC Possibility on: August 16, 2012, 04:31:13 AM
Crpto::Stocks just opened up Litecoin support today, and I thought it could be a worthwhile idea to start a Cognitive Sub-asset on this exchange called "Cognitive-LTC". The contract would be similar to Cognitive's, and the main change would be mining Litecoins as opposed to Bitcoins, obviously.

Because GPU mining is currently the most efficient way to generate Litecoins, this is the way we will go about doing it. The main reason for creating a Cognitive sub-asset is to create an instant establishment of trust that Cognitive has already acquired, therefore increasing investor confidence which boosts value.

I plan to create the asset within a week. I appreciate any questions, comments, and objections Smiley

88  Economy / Goods / [WTB] Jeep or Subaru on: August 13, 2012, 05:16:01 AM
I've been looking around for a car lately and I'm kind of stuck on Jeeps and Subarus, because I don't want to spend 500% of my income on gas for a truck, and you can't have nearly as much fun in a car. (Well, at least cars that cost as much as I want to spend... Tongue)

My price range is 3-10k USD. I will gladly pay in BTC or LTC as well.

Preferably it will be something raised, and possibly new wheels and tires. I need it to be a non-convertable. I have little preference when it comes to automatic/manual.

The vehicle must be clean on the inside.

You must factor in transportation to Northern Idaho, USA

Thanks!
Garrett

90  Economy / Currency exchange / Selling $498 BTC-e for Dwolla, MtGox, or BTC equivalent. on: July 31, 2012, 02:26:44 AM

91  Economy / Auctions / GPUMax Account on: July 30, 2012, 08:16:28 AM
A friend of mine has a GPUmax account that he would like to sell. I will be acting as an escrow in this transaction.

Bidding will start at 5BTC and will go up in increments of 5BTC.

At any time I reserve the right to cancel the auction and return funds if they have already been paid.

The auction will end 82 hours and 44 minutes after this post. That's August 2nd 12:00 PST.

If there is a last minute bid, the duration of the auction will be extended by one minute, and this routine will continue until one minute past the final bid.

Thanks,
Garrett
92  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Remotely Detonated Pneumatic Cannon on: July 30, 2012, 07:48:51 AM
I just decided that I want to be able to shoot stuff out of a pneumatic cannon by calling/texting a phone.

After a quick google, it looks pretty easy to use a cheap prepaid phone as a remote detonator, and I think this would be a cool way to do it.

If you want multiple barrels, or shots, it should be fairly straight forwards to set custom ringtones to different cell numbers and use an arduino to analyze the signal then fire the tube. Actually, an even better way would be to have an arduino that sets off a tube for each text it receives. In case you are wondering how the phone communicates with the circuit, you just remove the vibrator from the phone and use those leads.

If you are interested in one of these for yourself, pay me for parts, shipping, and labor and it's yours.

I can also sell modded prepaid phones if you want to use them for another purpose, but keep in mind I don't have any stocked and I haven't attempted making one for myself yet, so you might want to hold off on ordering until I make one for myself Tongue

Boring but necessary disclaimer that you will probably read even though I already told you it is boring (I always read the fine print, too Tongue): I am not responsible for anything you do with these devices. Use the devices at your own risk.

Hey all,

I'm in a bad (keeping in mind everything is relative) situation. I need/want a car. This one, preferably.

Most of my money is in BTC, which I think is only going to rise from here out, so taking out a BTC loan then converting to fiat would be a foolish and destructive move.

I have the BTC funds to cover this loan at the current exchange rate, so assuming the BTC price goes up there is absolutely no way for me to be unable to repay the loan. I also have some BTC income (Mining operations and trading), and an awesome job. (awesome != high paying, necessarily)

I have a good deal of rep here, so I figured I'd ask before going elsewhere. I'd really appreciate if someone could simply lend me the money, but that probably won't happen, so I'd be looking for something like a 3% APR.

I don't plan on keeping this for more than a year, but if BTC just keeps rising, it might be in my best interest to.

Thanks,
Garrett

94  Economy / Games and rounds / Circle of Trust [Game/experiment] -- GAME OVER on: July 11, 2012, 01:57:47 AM
Lots of people on this forum are very untrusting, and this will in no way prove that everyone should trust each other or anything like that, because that would just be rediculous.

This is merely an experiment that I want to test out. I will send 1btc to the first person to post their address below. Then they will edit their post and mark it as received then send the coin to the next address on the list. Only "Full members" and above can participate, just to avoid someone creating an account to steal the coin(as pitiful as that would be). If you run away with the coin, I will consider it a scam, and will request that you are labeled appropriately. Because of this, this is in no way meant to be a way for people to earn "rep" or credibility.

After the 100th post, whoever has the coin will send it here: 18dktRf1EYbyaYTkSSZJiacBmCemxwWdqm or 1Garr2555P4oiAaLQqXkcdAKGg4SMt3RZS Surprise me Tongue

Edit:

Does not apply to Garr255 verified Alpacas.

I'll toss an updated transaction list here whenever someone gets around to it:

So out of the 76 participients, only one (surprise) stole the money (ok, we gave them the chance to steal "the coin" twice but turned rather paranoid after jakers).
4 of the actual players got marked as SCAMMERs until now.
Many noobs tried to enter the game with yet unknown intentions. Did anybody count them?
76 because Garr255 and sethsethseth had the coin twice.

96  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Blackberry Playbook - MINT! on: July 02, 2012, 08:21:10 PM
This is a 16gb Playbook in excellent condition. It comes with everything it came with from the store, and the Blackberry made flip case.

This is a solid media tablet, and I even prefer it over the iPad. It has a better resolution display than the 1st and 2nd gen Pads. I'm selling this to raise a bit more money for a car Smiley

I'm looking for $177 shipped to the US. I will accept cash (Dwolla, check, cash in mail) or BTC. I will ship internationally, but you have to pay for it.

These questions are directed toward the creator of the exchange:

What is the advantage of using this exchange over GLBSE? Why should we trust the creator of it? Who is the creator of it?

Even if it turns out to be a legitimate trading platform, the only advantage I see here is being a part of something new.

Let's build a +1 pyramid until they(mos) make(s) one.

Bleh, just rename the FPGA one to FPGA/ASIC.

+1

I don't have tons of money, so I just bought a Jally, about 30 seconds after they published the forms Smiley

I'm going to wait a minute before publishing this so IRC buddies have a bit of an upper hand Wink

Lowest order numbers:
Code:
Jally    - Garr255 - 1656
Single   - OgNasty - 1657
Mini Rig - blackprapor - 1710

Also,
The test orders that Steve and I put through to their database entries were 1650-1655.

So 1656 and 1657 are the lowest order numbers after the page was made public.

Woot! I get the first ASIC!

Congrats on your huge success; Bit-Pay is a great tool.
Cheesy
