Am I the only one seeing this or its supposed to be a part of the newly created Nigerian board allocation for a merit source.
Obviously, there have been many applications at least, I've seen that of Charles-Tim before hand and it's been pending consideration as a merit source but, I've not filled any application and still, I noted this minutes ago after trying to send some merit.

How the hec am I having 572 Smerits?
Am no merit source and am yet to apply for one but, that's what am seeing up there 572 Smerits! I don't get how it's happening except, I was just made a merit source @Theymos, its that you...? For the forum and Nigerian local board...

I wouldn't want to rush or over do anything but, I'll be waiting on your responses and if someone else could have similar experience but, I think things would be a lot Crystal by tomorrow and maybe I'll run a merit thread for a start along with, doing more expenditions on reading/searching out merit deserving posts. In the mean time, I hold my peace!!!

I write in response to the recent development in the forum, Nigerians and Africans alike. Nigeria stands the giant of Africa although, we have our flaws but, in the scale of things, we stand to represent most of the African nations in the forum and have been increasingly active on the forum. Cryptocurrency is growing at a fast pace in Africa with Nigeria as one of the largest economy on the continent, producing some significant results in the field. Africa as a continent comprises of 54 member nations of which, most of them came off the British colonies and as such, have adopted some form of English derived language known as PIGHIN (Nigerian Pighin) as a common tongue that varies per nation though relative. It becomes sad that, no African nation has a local board on the forum admist requirements met. It becomes a win situation for the forum to award a local board to the most populous and crypto involved nation of Africa forum-wise and the world, on the forum. As, it would accommodate not just Nigerians but could as well adopt other African nations that speaks and understands the Pighin language.

There have been a request for the Nigerian Local Board on the forum here on meta Request for Nigeria Local Board (By Charles-Tim and was temporarily locked by OP to give room for ther discussions and its only right to bring it up periodically. The Nigerian community has been one of the most active on the forum with its members gaining awareness and growing in numbers as well as profiling in the ranks too. That you could observe on the stats on this thread [CHARTS] Monthly Overview Of The Unofficial Nigeria Local Board📈 (Created and Update periodically by Igehhh [Begging your pardon, the stats didn't consider Newbie Users]) and you can accord some of these activeness to have come off the win that came off the success of this thread Request for pinned Nigeria Local thread which resulted in the pinning of the Nigerian hangout Nigeria (Naija) (Thread created and moderated by Cryptoprenuerbrainboss) in the other languages board. As a result, it got more popularity and activities on the forum too. One of the challenges we have now is he grouping of our topics/subjects for effective/exhaustive discussion as sometimes, that gets flushed rather too quickly.

Thinking of the scam

It's not surprising to see all these guys coming up to try and play on people's intelligence. Fortunately for the forum, we've got some hero's who take investigation to the nest level and ensure the safety of everyone. If only one could try and read or seek opinions before jumping into whatever.

After reading through most of the discoveries on some users and platforms organising some scam donations, using the suffering the Ukrainian people now endure to push the length of a users compassio in a bid to scam them and enrich themselves. Using the sufferings others to bring more pain to innocent philanthropist and enrich themselves (the scammers). It leaves me with no thoughts on my mind to appreciate the hero's on the platform and a thought on what could possibly be the next scheme on the crypto space.

It's no new news that, most projects in the cryptospace is fake or scam based. Just oriented with a purpose of sweeping users of there investment funds through ICOs and IEOs. With the on going chaos in our world and the emotions of people built up, coupled with the need to make money through the opportunities created in chaos, scammers have come up with a scheme that are compassion driven and promises that:

* All these funds are being sort out for to provide relief
* The focus is on the children and the elderly
* Shelter and other materials would be provided for those displaced from there homes

Now, here is my thought of a scheme that could go up into the wind if care isn't taken.

Are we going to be seeing a crypto project/coin/token or which ever form it would take, coming up as a form or relief crypto in times of war?.

As a war coin or something that could be kicked off with an ICO or IEO, through pump and dump, rally for investment funds and then, they get off the market.  Is this a likely scenario to watch out for?
We've seen that in the trendy movie squid game and the squidtoken.

Now that the world has been reminded of wars and pandemic breakouts, would we be seeing any of these...
If we do, let's be guided. It could always be a pump and dump and in the crypto space, everyone wants what you've got. Never sell your precious sat for any shit token. It could always end badly!

I see a new generation of newbies so eager to earn merits and scale the ranks in the least possible time. This is one reason why, I admire the activity system of the forum as, though dependent on your activities, its also not entirely independent of those activities as, it follows a stipulated time in its accreditation. Unlike merits that could be abused with an intent although, they both (merits and activities) play there roles so well, each controlling the other. I have seen few proactive users grow so fast on the forum and when you look at there profile to see what's the trick, you become greatly amazed at the kind of contents they put out for the ranks they hold. At one glance, you would note the effort and validity in them contents. A few other beginners possibly have noted this but sadly, instead of putting in work, they come with a different approach/intent solely orchestrated to earn or rub users of them smerits. Trying to drink from the same cup as the proactive once but, with an approach that is rather cunning and elusive.

Why create topics solely for getting merits and scaling the ranks?

Yeah, merits and ranks are desirable on the forum in other to have some opportunities (signatures, creating reputable service threads in the service subboard) and have some forum functions like (uploading: photos, signatures, avatars, getting your wait time on posting increased or off and even sending a pm) open for you but then, what becomes of the case when you acquire all these and learn nothing on the way.

It's funny how they seem to know so well, possibly to have been  oriented or even discovered it themselves of the plagiarism rule on the forum being beginners, stay conscious to the fact on it being outlawed on the forum and still somehow, it becomes the very reason most of them exit with the backdoor. What's even more surprising is how, they seem to propagate a seed of laziness by trying to put links to the source to escape being guilty and to some extent, its pretty effective but, its that how to be proactive and share ideas in actual. Yeah, your not in the wrong, as you don't take credit for someone's work but share in it to have researched and found it useful but,

what happens to your own ideas?
Is it that, you don't trust your brain to produce anything useful?

When your interested in a skill that could aid you (in this case, writing), you learn! Otherwise, why be on a discussion platform and choose not to just stay on the sidelines and read while, asking questions where need be for clarifications! You don't force writing or being proactive on yourself and end up flooding the forum with threads that only bare links. When it gets too frequent of which it eventually does, it becomes a problem. The forum is going to end up having undigested information that's isn't going to do both the author and community no good. For a fact, keeping a keen eye on threads across boards and your likely to find a thread that discusses just what your intent might be and should it provoke a response for which a link to previously read information might shade a light for better appreciation, you do the needful. Not blankly pasting a 50-100% copied content from the web.

Merit and the activity systems weren't just introduced to tame spammers and encourage quality posts only, its in a way, supposed to encourage originality of content as well. The forum is a discussion platform, it allows everyone an equal opportunity of presentation or contribution of a unique idea on a subject being discussed and even avails you the chance to start your own subject or thread. It often don't have to come off some text on the web with some link(s) to the source attached . It could come from your previously and continued digested information or encounters, all organised into a beautiful peice of write up. That would be the more appreciated than, lifting something off the web, add a link to the source and expect some appraisal for doing so. If you must or should have need of a content not of your authorship to add some glamour to your work, it's okay to lift and site it but, it doesn't have to rate upto 50%, when subjected to a plagiarism test. Infact, I would have loved to reduce that stance to 30%.

Now ask yourself this;
Of what use will it be earning or should I say rubbing users of them smerits in the forum and eventually get banned for plagiarism?

In some cases, it's on the same thread or response that got merited that these users get banned! It's a waste, a big waste to the user and then the forum as, users for which might have benefited from such smerit are greatly deprived of them (as: merits can't be retrieved once given for both active, dormant and banned users).

For this reason
I urge all you beginners to Don't stop contributing but instead, Pause to give it yourself the time you need to Read more to grasps or get a better understanding and only then should you Contribute. It would do you a lot of good and you gain a lot by seeking to know and add to the bulk of knowledge by your contributions to help others understand the more better. Ranking up is possible in the forum but, it doesn't resides only in the hands of those creating threads everywhere you turn. If you do that, you might make a mistake and bitcointalkforum never forgets nor forgive.

N/B:
This is in no way to discourage you from posting or making responses but, to urge you to be more original and come up with an intent that goes beyond merits and ranking up.
To play by the rules (be it official or unofficial). Know there are ethics, build yours in accordance to to is obtainable and abide by it.
Maybe you can have merits and ranking up on the sideline but not as an ought most priority.
Gett your intents for being on the forum right and it might help you in the long run.

The emergence of bitcoin, came with the emergence of bitcointalk in 2009. Since then, bitcoin as a currency and the crypto initiative has been faced and continues to be plagued by criticisms from both government, anti-bitcoin/cryptocurrency and enemies of decentralisation. These they do by propagating the seed of fear through misconceptions and FUD on bitcoin/cryptos true nature and limit bitcoin/cryptos to being;

- A ponzi scheme
- A scam currency
- A big bubble ready to burst
- A currency for the rich only
- A non sustainable development without any real use case

These and so many other nonsense they continue to float around and by that, holding the innocent forks that doesn't see the need for a research hostage on a possible future through decentralisation and bitcoin. By that, they continue to remain in the shackles of the government and centralized systems. Fortunately, bitcoin is truly decentralized and investors upon the system do so out of there own freewill and as such, it seems untouchable. In other for government to accord some truth to there claim, they outlaw its actual use and place a ban on mining activities with hopes to crumble the system but still and like the phoenix, Bitcoin still continues to grow.

It's amazing how thees happens despite the government use of the media to spread FUD and discourage any actual usage by placing bans. Bitcoin has a truth nature about it, that no matter how hard you try to cover the truth, it would one day get to surface and bitcoin often surfaces to those who care to research. This involves asking the right questions of the right people and active participation on bitcointalk.

How Bitcointalk Is Changing The Bitcoin/Crypto Perspective Of Locals

When I look back at certain memorable events that births from this forum, I've come to realise that the forum has identified with the world problems than it's actually known. Government and centralised system has painted Bitcoin/Cryptos as a scheme to acquire but then, these events actually puts crypto owners as not just takers but philanthropist. I don't know how some of these activities where carried out but then, like the forum, these activities provides a medium for interaction with those at the grass root and in turn, discussion. As we give, we should as well try to teach. We won't be solving just an immediate problem of a need but also, the future problem of laying a crypto foundation for these persons. It was really satisfactory from proof of aid presented by the organisers of these aids that, the forum did solve aid in solving societal problems. Seeing them smile, felt like seeing a soldier at war smile. People believe mostly based on what they could see, let's help make a virtual reisation birth a physical nature in the minds of these persons and bitcoin/crypto currency would continue to have a new look.

Suggestion
I'll like to use this singular opportunity to suggest that, real life events that births from this forum should be regarded as bitcoin oriented and therefore run on the TheBitcoinTalkShow. This would earn not just the forum but bitcoin some publicity it needs and also, teach to the people.

Firstly, I'll like to congratulate everyone in the forum and reading this post right now, to have made it into 2022. You all are winners and its my wish that we make this year our year, promote humanity and the world a lot more friendly to live in.

Right this minute, citizens of nations around the world for the multitudes which have been able to transcend the new year are wishing each neighbour a 'Happy New Year', calling, texting, tweeting, snapchatting, Facebook in and various means. Some nations whose timing might be few hours back to the time of this post would be in anticipation for the 12noon, the beginning of another earth revolution around the sun and the merry that follows to have seen a new season. During these times, from my many years on earth, I've come to note a common and peculiar act with these times of the year. This is what brings me to the topic of this thread.

New Year Plans and Resolutions

Every new year is always anticipated to be better than the previous, to come with more and more opportunities to benefit from and so, every one tends to come up with a plan. A plan that we often feel would make us hit the gold mine or mine the next block (cryptowise). Fortunately for some, they plan well, work the path and they archive. While the unfortunate once, try all they could and still end up in the same spot at the end of the year, ready to make another plan in the previous year. Its like a man who finds himself or herself in a pit and instead of digging sideways like a tunnel upwards, he or she digs farther down.

PLAN
Let me borrow a definition from Merriam-Websters dictionary which defines plan as, the devising or projection or the realisation of an achievement of a thing. What is that thing, a definite goal or aim for a year. One doesn't go about planning without having a definite goal at the end or a means to follow until you get to that goal. Once either of these is lacking or found wanting, your plan is inconclusive and therefore bound to fail. You ought to be definitive in making plans, know when you archive them and encourage yourself to archive another.

How To Plan
I'll summarise this in one important point to avoid ambiguity of text and it is;

* You be realistic in your plans
Set that which is archiveable before moving over to the next one. It all plays a role on how far you would get. Setting abstract plans isn't out of it but, being a little realistic brings life to your enthusiasm towards a gaol. Now, let's go over to the second phase of this literally piece.

THE RESOLUTION
This is another important part of a plan most persons don't give any attention to. The quest to know, to find out why the previous plans failed. Why you did put in so much effort and still nothing got to work as expected. It deals on analysis, which is a very important aspect of planning as it helps you to guide against future occurance of errors in your plans. Resolutions stand for a pillar or support, it counts towards experience and most times, it doesn't have to be first hand.

Plan and resolve properly so, you Plan not to fail. Realise is same 24hours and 365 days except for a leap year that might vary by 1/4

Whats the point hodling, if you can't risk it all?

At first for me, many ranked up users and I'm sure a lot more beginners at the moment have come to know the term 'hodl' which is a connotation hold and infact was a misspelling of that same word. HODL has infact evolve to mean Hold On for Dear Life. Its a term that reminds crypto investors in times of market crashes that the crash would or could only be for a short while and for investors not to sell off their crypto asset hence, the best is yet to come.

Having this in mind, a lot of crypto investors are very confused on when to sell or get the returns off their crypto asset or investment. Though hodling might seem like a risk free move that indeed tests your patience and rewards it, it could be also one that comes with a major risk especially when you invest on altcoins. This is what brings me unto the topic of this thread.

Hodling could be just as risky as any other technique to crypto trading or investment strategy.

With many not knowing when to sell or actually quite on a declining project, hodling pose a different kind of threat towards investors. A threat that pushes you to either have the mind of a fortune teller on that project or be ready to bear the risk of a complete liquidation of that asset. Earlier on this year, I invested some $400 in a few coins I hope not to mention. One at $6 after a supposed fall from an ATH of $11 and is currently at $1.14, with another at $2 which pumped upto $8 and is currently at $1.2 with the coinmarketcap.com price index. Good enough, I've been watching this coin through the series of price decline and still choose to let it be. You can win, you can still win but then, it always comes with some risk factor which isn't limited to a complete liquidation of your asset. Perhaps this might not be the case for the pioneer coin like bitcoin but it still carries some attributes of such risk when linked with how patient and willing you are to hodl.

There is always going to be a risk to reward ratio and its always subject to you the investor. Mine is simple 'I have a target to an investment and its either I archive it or I'm ready to loose it all'. This aggress with the singular investment principle that states, 'invest only what you can afford to loose'.

Hodling is no simple task, you out to be ready and know that it's a test of patience and it plays with your mind. Though, its of great importance that you invest on projects you've researched and satisfied to be good for you. Build your comfort about that point and be ready for whatever it throws at you!

When I was met by an unvailing of the Satoshi Nakamoto Statue, I felt there must have been some unvailing of the continuous pseudomonous figure of the bitcoin inventor which, would have taken a different tor on bitcoin either positively or negatively  I don't know but, was sure to be another development in the world of cryptocurrency. There is a thread on this forum that talks about the prospect of the unvailing actually: Statue of Satoshi Nakamoto in Hungary by dkbit98 and the prospects for which the statuewas to attain. Well, there has been an unvailing finally in Graphisoft Park of Budapest, in Hungary amongst other iconic figures and its the first of its kind to represent Satoshi Nakamoto in the world.

It's is a new turn of even fir the world on bitcoin that could have a lot of positive attributions, publicity and raise questions that could prompt in an ignorant mind, the need to search for informations on bitcoin. This would have a new turn on how Hungarians appreciate cryptocurrency but let's look at the image and its possible projection, coupled with what it could attain in the world of cryptos

Ideals In the Figure
1. One Idea I cherish most of all is, having the Figure to have a mirror facial appearance. It is a very suitable appearance for a pseudomonous real life image of Satoshi Nakamoto which goes with the saying, 'we are all Satoshi Nakamoto ' and in many ways, it goes to say, how personal or individual on a collective base (looking at the fact that, a lot of persons can stand before the Figure and it would reflect back a lot of faces at the same time "us") is bitcoin. We are a community of us and a power that rest with us in bitcoin. Which is a very good signal.

2. Having it in an iconic park amongst other hero's or giants of the worlds industries
Now this goes to project cryptocurrency for an industrialization change that in many ways could be positive for the world if they could only look. A revolution that speaks of a change in the world of business where, the power of business rests with the people.

3. Another idea to it is having Satoshi Nakamoto in a hooded clothes piece. Mow the hood is a clothe piece on like any other, in many ways not like, the meaning sticks as it could be redefined in several contests. From a critic mind, the guy in the hood is, the hacker, the guy with the gun, the criminal eluding authorities and some of those. So,

Like the saying goes, 'You can't teach an old sloth, new tricks'. Humans are not sloths though but, it actually means there are limits to how much an aged person is willing to comprehend. So, at some point,  you can find them not following and just stop. Learning is more of a youthful thing and when it comes to ways of generating funds, the aged might have more of the capital capacity but, the youths have the know hows as regards tech. Bitcoin is tech and tech is best fiting for youths but, aged people whom have found themselves in the jet age ought to utilise the opportunities the jet age provides. They've got most of the capitals and it would make the market even go bigger but, how to get these forks to know and actually invest is a real problem.

Most aged people view cryptos as insecurities because, that's what the government has painted it to be and become very skeptical when you introduce it to them. They become more concerned with the traditional method of investing that, nothing else matters or makes sense but the youths are more open to new opportunities as, the they find more time in exploiting the web. The aged have got no time luxury, they either grab at first insight or they are out.

Steps to it

1. Its best they come to know bitcoin as a currency of value.
2.  point out similarities to tradition currency such as gold, making sure they come to see the difference between both and why cryptos is better as an investment package.
3. Enumerate the ways to procuring and securing them and it should not be over emphasised else, you make them become scared and skeptical.
4. Ensure they know this is not an investment advice and they could go for further research, seeking truth over rumours before they jump to invest.

Cryptos is for all and a limitation to it is a limitation on the rate of its growth so, it becomes a necessity that people truly understand and exploit it if need be.

After which came the advent of the internet or the web and Google where people can log on, search and upload information from anywhere around the world as well as the uploaded information could be accessed by anyone worldwide. It also created fields to make the connection of person to persons possible. These innovations came up with the central idea of making the world better with the globe as its targeted market and it existed within a centralized system, crushing all its competition and the rest of the world were compelled to live with it. Now, it’s the era of Bitcoin, a currency based innovation.
There have been over time a need and development of an online based currency without success until bitcoin came along. Bitcoin is a digital currency within a decentralized system that exists on the blockcahin. Now, technology remains a developing field in our world today and only came to humanity some decades ago with its complete admittance and utilization still a work in progress in the developing nations and among certain age grades not within the jet-age category. Due to these facts and speculations, the field is questioned in lots of aspects and not trusted under different counts so; it becomes a thriving idea to discover as to how much people know of bitcoin.

POSSIBLE INTERPRETATION
Bitcoin in Nigeria is more of a thing of the youths, looking at the fact that, the youths are the jet age and grew into this technological advancement. Hence are more interested and used to the tech world than other age grades.
The negativism with bitcoin decreased across age groups to form a partial pyramind if viewed in ascending other with regards to age differences though, the 40-49 age grades didn’t respect this order.

It’s of note that, friends are the major source of information with regards to bitcoin and as such, should friends be equipped with the right information; there would be more of a future for bitcoin in Nigeria and relatively the world.

RECOMMENDATION
With Nigeria amongst other nations trying to enforce a ban on bitcoin and crypto, it becomes an increasing need for a crypto awareness campaign in any little way, perhaps through mouth to mouth discussion. To be a song on the lips of bitcoin and crypto enthusiast that should be song to a weary ear and an ignorant mind at any opportune time, so as to promote the crypto legitimacy and awareness

For every crypto enthusiast to ensure they introduced interested members of the public to the bitcointalk.org field as it stands the best place for a crypto education and guide through active discussions and lucrative activities they boost involvement and yields dividend.

In order for there to be no hindrance to bitcoin growth in Nigeria and at large, information dispersion view mouth to mouth is of great importance and people should refer people to the bitcointalk.org for further learning and discussion. It would go a long way by asking them to invest as it creates a sudden phobia to be weary.

The world is in a constant evolution for better and best. This is the drive that pushes the extent of societal advancement not excluding the bitcoin innovation. Currency they say is the currency of the realm, a place now occupied by fiat for which bitcoin is looking to take over.
We are all pleased and amazed with how bitcoin is doing and hope that it becomes the future currency of the realm. With regards to this possibility, it becomes an increasing desire for many business minded persons to look into exploiting the growing field for investment opportunities that would yield good returns in the nearest future. Through the entire search and merry with bitcoin, I have come to the realization of a fact that, the investment opportunities available in this young field can only be exploited by a fortunate few. It became surprising to that even with the available income, this set of persons are still exempt which makes it sad.

Today is 1st of March 2021, I visited a merchant retail point and while I was there going about my business, I noticed a blind man being lead by his handler boy, what a small child he was but, it seemed he knew all the directions for which they were to take and the bargains on transport fare. It was quite an emotional thing for me to watch them communicate using both spoken and touch language to ensure an understanding between them as they gradually ascended a vehicle to an unknown destination to me. I stared at them as they vanished in the distance and it downed on me the reason for which I’m telling this story.
At that point, it struck me ;

If bitcoin investment is actually for everyone who is financially able and willing and of what future do bitcoin have for the handicapped (Blind persons).
We are all amazed with bitcoin and hope that it someday gains a world recognition and acceptance as an exchange media for the future. The digital nature of bitcoin and cryptocurrency makes visual acknowledgement very important and the insecurity that comes with making private keys and seed phrases public even amongst family makes me ask;

* What future do bitcoin holds for the physically challenge persons with regards to those without sight?
* Or the blind aren’t part of the future that bitcoin has installed for the rest of mankind?
* What investments plan lies there for the physically challenged persons in same regard?

It is sad to acknowledge these limitations of bitcoin and cryptocurrency as I know it now, to not only be limited based on funds but handicapped situations of individuals.

So, its only natural for we to be expecting more and more ATH buys and surges in the bitcoin market because, Tesla and Elon Musk isn’t done with bitcoin coupled with the possibility of having more bitcoin investors in the likes of public companies and individuals alike. Though, this surges would create some discrepancies in the mind of the government and as such would tend to influence the trend but still, bitcoin would continue to rise.
With the growth potential still in bitcoin and governments of the world still yet to approve of its idea and incorporate it into the system that governs the world, it only implies that bitcoin hasn't reach its full potent and as such, its wise to invest in bitcoin.

In recent time following the bullrun of 2020 which has somehow seemed not to fade out completely with the bitcoin market still on the rise as other determinants for the direction of the market has come in play like Elon Musk in his tweets and the whales in recent time to push and sustain the market at a high, breaking and creating new highs with btc price now at $66k, the investment strategy of buying when its low and selling high (BLSH) seems to be of little or no importance anymore. Now, it's all about, everyone needing a piece of the pie, to be a shareholder, a crypto smart citizen of the world and so, it doesn't matter when you buy no more but how long you can hold on to your btc.

So bitcoin has been marked as a currency of the future and so, spending bitcoin at the moment doesn't seem much like the right thing to do as it isn't supposed to be so with currencies. Currencies are meant to be for exchange but bitcoin though is exchanged, the growth it attains in due time makes it a hard to spend currency. Rising to have the sun shine on my face before other daily routine, I find myself in a society that felt like Christmas once again just with a different aroma and romance in the air. Empty streets and people concerned about getting the first phase of the day done in other to prepare for a much more looked out for phase in the sundown. So it began to feel like a societal pressure that requires everyone who has attained an adult age and isn’t single to make love now. So people begin to lose focus of the activity and then, do it just because others are doing it. One reality of the fact is that, in all the making of fun, there are others making a fortune out of providing the needed services to ensure a fun filled day for couples whose hands are forced by the day.

Now the question comes?
Do you feel forced to make love or demonstrate your affection towards your partner on Valentine’s Day?

I’m 100% on romance just that, I think or should I say romance isn’t a one day thing and one day of romance isn’t really special above others. Valentine’s Day remains isn't all about sex no more, it remains a solemn reminder of what love is about and the relentlessness about it even in the most difficult of situations, the scarifies that comes with it, how love defies the greatest of authorities and odds. It is ironic how people with power see the world and demonstrates the authority given to them. Gone are the days when I hear power are given only to those who be little themselves as at now, it’s either appointed or seized as related to politics. Today, the people often cry out of every policy formed because of how one sided the issue is been looked out. It’s always considered subjectively rather than objectively. For this reasons, I say this “There are more sides to the story than it’s been considered”.

Of recent, it’s been Indian and now, the Nigerian government that seems to have taken the forefront of the fight against bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Its sad how well they observe and how little they see. While in high school, I was thought how the government comprises of three basic arms for which, policies and regulations are formed, amended, regulated and enforced with all arms working hand-in-hand to ensure stability amongst others and also, the fundamental human rights and how the rights of an individual is absolute so long as it doesn’t affect or restrict the activities of someone else and this includes investments. There is a biblical saying that goes ‘’when you give/good, do it in such a way that the right hand won’t know”. You can imagine the same body doing a thing and yet the other hand isn’t aware of it, Nigeria has extended this saying to doing evil. Evil in such a that, a part of government through its leader can confer on itself absolute authority to take decisions that could affect the country on a national base and possibly lead to a revolution for which second class citizens which comprises the most population of the country would be the most people affected.
It’s been a moment of uplifting for Nigeria in the late months of the pandemic during its first phase and thereafter, where its citizens searched for other means of investments and maximizing ROI. They(we) were met with a bullrun which helped to promote and propel the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency awareness and investment with individuals growing crypto smart with Nigeria as an African nation being listed as one of the top investors in cryptos and now, the government has chosen to not regulate but place a hold on progress of its citizens. How do they do this, by pretending not to see the other side to the story. The sides to the story;

THE SIDE THEY SEE AND FOCUS

* SCAM ORIENTED: In my trying to understand humans as to why they behave in certain ways, I got to understand that everything is subject to critic and we often choose not to accept the truth before our eyes if it doesn’t benefit us directly and as such, it makes less meaning. It could only be deduced or believed that, they aren’t crypto investors or has a side to it that won’t be available to the second class citizens but then being irritated by the rough looks of a sponge and forgetting the fact that, it makes a good scrub isn’t the way to go. Cryptocurrency can do more than being used for scams so, why use scam as a major base. After all, it’s always advocated that investors in cryptocurrency in the country and around the world must exercise caution.

IF the level of caution in the above links doesn’t ring a bell then I wonder what will and I guess similar policies are avail to citizens of other nations as well then, why not go smart on your investments.
So, why would a government be reckless in policy formulation because of some uninvestigated investments of some world’s citizen and as such, limit the rights to utilization of what is avail to easy life?

* REVOLUTIONARY: Its only normal for a better way of getting things done replace the old. Why get so scared of virtual currency especially when it offers a liberty to the government and I don’t mean just Nigeria but nations of the world in this regard. All they tend to see is what it takes from the government and are completely blind on what it offers. Having eyes so big and yet sees nothing! The world has been so consigned with fighting, so focused on the war that they don’t seem to realize when to stop and see to utilizing what it offers and the much attention that could be drawn from the government. All they see is how much control they would lose, if the people are empowered.

THE SIDE THEY PRETEND NOT TO SEE

* IT’S A BEST WAY TO TRANSACT: Speed is good but accuracy is better. This is what Bitcoin has got checked; they know this but yet undermine its importance. Of what best way would it be to uniting the world as a global market than cryptocurrency. It meets the requirements of universality as it isn’t tied to a single nation and its value doesn’t depreciate across borders, its relatively constant everywhere and could serve if approved. That someone could get to someone or something done at the other end of the globe to meet up with emergencies with little procedure sounds like an advantage to me.

* IT DIVERTS ATTENTION FROM THE GOVERNMENT: Many nations of the world today especially the populous nations and the third world countries has unemployment problems and this is a major problem to the growth of an economy as, unemployment is reflected in production which in turn affects the standard of living in nations facing this problem. Its often a view point of many college and high school students to graduate and secure a paid job with the government coupled with their limited resources. Cryptocurrencies has got this too in check as it empowers but youth and adult investors alike and in turn, turn diverts there attentions from the government hence, more wealth is brought in to invest in other field of business which could be taxed thereby, increasing productivity, creating more jobs and aids economic growth but, it’s a chance government has refused to see or take.

THE CONSPIRACY

It’s old and unethical but, it sometimes works. It’s a simple strategy to them, “control the food/resources and in turn you control the people" and they do all this under the cover of the law. A big fowl play!

This is why they tend to focus on one side of the story to as to deny the bitcoin revolution on old ways of doing things. It’s been the barter system, the cowries, manila, gold, fiat for Africa at most and now, it’s time for bitcoin. But then, its progress because Bitcoin isn’t completely erasing the fiat out of the picture just as fiat didn’t completely erased gold. So they accuse bitcoin to be used for scamming as though, scam started with it or is only untraceable when done with cryptos. If that be the case(the scamming conspiracy), why not government of nations teach it to its citizens and not only rely on declarations. Instead, what we see is a display of power given to them by the people and they stay immune under the cover of the rule of law and display their tyranny towards the people without consultation. In India, its prison, In Nigeria its blocking of bank accounts with crypto history either prior or present. How sensible is that? Its still a work in progress as several senators and crypto investors aren’t in unity on the matter. We hope for the best resolution but then, "Ban isn’t Regulation”.

This isn’t to say there aren’t reach or wealthy people in religion today but majority is what makes the difference. I say this with particular reference to the Christianity as a religion and I’m very much Christian with my religious beliefs and through the chaos in the world, many opportunist pastors has risen to take charge of the situation and the congregation in search of faith becomes the victims.
I write this out of long observed traits in the poor masses that flood various large and much room churches in all corners of the streets of Africa. How a religious person with contradicting belief/faith or with 6months of pastoral education or without any education at all turns a tiny apartment for a fasting/prayer house and it eventually grows to become a church! The pastor gets rich and richer with pot belly and rosy chicks while the members go thin and bony, always hoping on a spiritual figure for a break through. One question I always ask myself is,

Are there really need for all this many churches in all corners of our streets?
Does it really solve the problem of so many immoralities in our world as we see it today?

Religion of our time has become a one man business, where individuals attend churches based on the individual that stands on the podium with sight of what they hope could be gotten from the spiritual figure with no intent of in depth worship. There isn’t any better way to brain wash people other than religion. It uses your built in trust and faith in the pastor or religious leader, your desire to attract favors from the spiritual entity and the fact that your expected to believe completely without doubt against you. All of a sudden we have no value for time anymore, all attentions focused on a one man’s business, the religious figure head. It’s always about, going out to acquire and bring it to the house of the lord. The house of the lord that is always open to receive but short when it comes to giving out.

MY ANNOYANCE
I have a problem with the churches of our time and as much as it troubles me, I try not to let it affect my religious beliefs and faith in God. I have a friend with a troubled family essential need, not want but need that would be 3years if not solved by march 2021 and all it could take to solve it as at then (August, 2019) was just $1,000. It’s my intent to skip the detail but should anyone wish to hear the story, pm and I’ll tell it or at least produce evidence that it’s real and pressing. So, I asked that she takes the issue to her pastor in hope for assistance, maybe not all but even at least 1% of that would go a long way in building hope. Maybe not from the pastor but perhaps let the congregation know of it, maybe a philanthropist could do something or perhaps, conduct an offering to help. It was surprising what answer came off the pastors mouth “GOD WILL PROVIDE”. Very religious! but, they don't wait for God to provide when it's got to do with church business or pastors welfare. A fund raiser would be conducted immediately and in some instance, they even specify what an individual or a family is to pay. Despite her relationship with the pastor as a personal assistant, a cleaner in church, a chorister and is personally entitled to opening and closing the church when ever they’ve got activities of worship. She pays her tithes and participates actively in donations in her little way in church activities but couldn’t even merit an announcement. It’s a shame! My annoyance comes in terms of what is being thought in the churches, especially in this much room churches of Africa and a few other large churches. It’s always about,

GIVING
This is one of the chief topics that follow all summons of the churches because, it keeps the churches at the receiving end, not their/our neighbors but the church itself. It’s bad. Even the Holy Scriptures (Bible) will tell you that, when you give to the poor or less privileged on the street, you’ve given to God (Matthew  25:44).
Why is it that, you have to sow a seed (seed of faith) they call it, in the pastor’s life to get the most blessings?
Why is it that, the pastor’s children’s affairs should be funded from the churches treasury?

I once saw a church shot its gate to refugees from conflict rural communities in search for a few days of shelter. They sat and bath outside its walls for almost a week until the conflict was resolved.

ENEMIES
Christians have been made to feel they have enemies everywhere that hinders their progress.  Funny enough, they’ve got no idea whom their enemies are in essence; they’ve got no enemies at all. They fail to realize their only enemy is idleness and time management.

FAITH/BELIEF
The church pay more attention to preaching on abstract things as faith would always create in the individual the need not to doubt. Doubting and asking questions becomes a sin! Taking faith from the church would bring reasoning into the church and once that be the case, the result becomes chaos which isn’t favorable for business.

I expect churches to let their members know these truths,
1.   All that you could ever need has been provided by God, your left to explore the corners of the world, dominate and better your living through hard work.
2.   Manner doesn’t fall from heaven no more, what you sow is what you’ll reap.
3.   The world is every man for himself, if you’re assisted then, your fortunate and should be grateful but it’s got nothing to do with what you believe.
4.   Time is the most important thing that is, the greatest asset a man has and its irrevocable and as such should be invested wisely.

Most of the rich and wealthy people know this! This is why you can never see the rich in churches on work hours. It’s always the poor, seeking miracles and praying day after day for the enemies they don’t have. So religion became a thing of the poor!
In your pursuit for God and spirituality, don’t forget you have all you need less you be a religious poppet, like the rat in a rat race that has faith.

Cryptocurency has been a growing field since the emergence of Bitcoin and as such a lot of alternate cryptocurencies have been and are still trying to emerge and be generally accepted and valued as bitcoin. Thousands of projects have been known to come up, conduct it's ICO or IEO but yet only to fail along the line as the coin or token later turns out to be sh*t coins or it's equivalent. This is what makes altcoins investment a daring field for many investors and as such, you just might require a lot of experience to be an investor in altcoins.

Possible problem/solution
Identifying a problem is the best way to confer solution to that problem although, this might not be the only problem there is but, it's just a thought that bugged me of recent and I'll very much like to hear what you guys have to say about it. Which is more of a menace to Altcoins as regards start up projects,

I. Is it conferring more value to a coin let's say, $1-2 during the ICO or IEO session and allow it to go from there? Or

II. Giving it a relatively low value let's say a few cents perhaps $0.01-0.05 and watch it grow from there.

Which is the best solution to Altcoins developmental projects? Having in mind that, either of the two lives investors in disarray should the projects turns out to be a failed project and falls right out of the market. It would be a much valued discussion should experienced investors speak up and then, it could aid developers of altcoins as well.

There is this near success syndrome that is associated with compilation or multiple bets. I'm damned sure most bettors who use the accumulated bet strategy must have experienced this a few or lots of times and it usually feels so disappointing and the day begins to feel like it's not one of your best days. The thing is,

"In an accumulated bet, why is it often the last games that goes rugged and you end up loosing what's supposed to be a best bet and was already preparing for a cash out or the next step"

It's always never funny when this happens. What's the trick about it, is it that, bookmarkers just knows and tends to push the game to the last in the series for an accumulated bet option or it's really bad luck, if there is such a thing as bad luck or other reasons. What really is the trick about this scenario.

History based predictions

Is it always good to predict favourably on big teams in there prospective nations league, after they most have just participated in an international club organized league like the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and the rest of them.

Keeping in mind that, during these leagues, the best or reserved players are mostly used and probably would be exhausted because, the league games are not often far behind and often, the next meetings are often the mid tier clubs which are often well relaxed and prepared at the same time. Or perhaps, the top teams are in a mental state for the games as we could consider them charged up.
