1  Economy / Invites & Accounts / 60 USD stuck inside PaxFul Account (57$ USD Paxful account for sale) on: February 13, 2021, 07:21:06 PM
I Have 57$ USD stuck inside Pxful account, I cannot unlock the account unless I do an identity verification, which i do not want to do, since crypto exchanges tend to get hacked all the time. The account also has 5 Positive trusts. I don't know if this adds value to the account  Huh. Let me know if it does. If you are interested, reply to the thread or send me a PM. As I said, the account needs to be verified. Thanks!
2  Other / Meta / Why do most Full Member accounts are inactive? on: December 26, 2020, 06:01:36 AM

Why is there so many?
3  Other / Meta / What hapenned to sirius? on: December 26, 2020, 05:57:24 AM
The co-creator of this forum, sirius, has not logged in since January 6th, 2018. Why so? Was the account hacked or he just vanished like satoshi?

Maybe I missed something big which explains everything but I was unable to find any information about the case on the forum or through a Google Search.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why can't I re-use a Paper Wallet on: December 14, 2020, 06:35:39 PM
I generated a Paper wallet a few minutes ago and the website mentioned that if I was to spend with the paper wallet, I needed to spend everything at once or my funds would almost surely be lost forever. Why? I mean, is it just because the address touched the Internet or is it another reason? I don't see why I would lose all my funds. Thanks
6  Economy / Service Discussion / Get access to Keybase.io account without wiping account on: December 13, 2020, 04:47:11 PM
I recently signed up on keybase, prved many of my indentities on other sites and I did a reset on my computer because it was too slow. I re-installed Keybase and it said that it seems you are loging in with a different device... please verify your paper keys but I did not backup my paper keys.

The other option is to reset the account. I am still able to login on the online version of Keybase.io. Thanks.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin for Dummies - Book Review on: December 12, 2020, 08:06:15 PM
I bought a book related to Bitcoin written by Prypto - Bitcoin for Dummies. The book itself is great, it exlains almost everything someone would need to know to fully understand the concept of Bitcoin. I would rate it 8/10 and highly recommend it over other Bitcoin/crypto beginner guides. You can buy the book here: https://books.google.ca/books?id=mJPNCwAAQBAJ&hl=fr .

I am wondering how do people get the "Bitcoin Expert" or "Bitcoin Core dev" badge. I will probably never get them but I am simply curious. I guess you need to be an early adopter and have proven to help the community with helpful solutions.

Hello everyone! I have launched a service where you can buy Itunes gift cards from me. I am only selling gift cards from 10$, 15$, 25$ and 50$. I dont have some kind of escrow or anything. The trade proceeds as following:

  • Contact me here with a PM if you're interested
  • I send you the code for the Itunes Card
  • You validate the code in Itunes
  • You send me the amount corresponding to the gift card.

You may need to send first if I believe it to be necessary.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / I'd like to deepen my knowledge about Bitcoin on: December 09, 2020, 07:29:36 PM
Here is a few things I still don't understand about Bitcon:

  • MultiSig: as far as I know, It is an address owned by at least 3 persons and to make a transaction, at least 2 people need to sign something.
  • Proof of Work
  • peer-to-peer
  • Bounties on BitcoinTalk
14  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / I discovered I have my 2013 wallet.dat file but the file is encrypted on: December 09, 2020, 06:02:19 PM
I was surfing trough my external hard drive files and found my old wallet.dat file. I currently have a full node on my PC, is it okay if I overwrite the old wallet.dat file with the new one? Will this screw everything up? The wallet.dat is surely encrypted though, I will be giving updates on the thread.

Thanks

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Fatal Error in Bitcoin Core 0.20.1 on: December 08, 2020, 07:56:47 PM
I just finished downloading the new Bitcoin Core version 0.20.1

I can stay around on the wallet a few seconds but I always get the same error: Fatal error... the wallet then proceeds to close itself.

I get the same error every time. Let me know if you have the same error or if you have a fix.

Thanks
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Trouble signing a Bitcoin Message in Bitcoin Core on: December 08, 2020, 07:53:01 PM
I am learning more and more, I am able to sign PGP messages, I tried signing a Bitcoin message with Bitcoin Core, I have a full node.

I get an error every time I try, the first time I tried, I changed to another address, as the address I was using was SegWit and Bitcoin Core does not support it apparently. I tried using a legacy address (The one that starts with 1) and I got a different error message: The address provided does not match any private key. I tried with a Bech32 address and I got the first error.

I guess Legacy is the way to go but why do I get an error?

Thanks
