1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] Extortion Coin - Official Coin of "Operation ShitCoin Cleanout" on: March 24, 2014, 07:46:54 PM

Are you wondering how you're going to pay the extortion demanded by the thugs of "Operation Shitcoin Cleanout"?

Now, there's an answer.  Introducing:

Extortion Coin

What is Operation Shitcoin Cleanout?

One thing that people get kinda confused about is that they think this has something to do with cleaning up shitcoins.  I have no idea where they got that idea, but it's not true.

"Operation Shitcoin Cleanout" is a way for some O.G.'s to make some Satoshis, yo.

This works in  3 ways.

1) It makes the members coins more valuable.  For example, the founder of Operation Shitcoin Cleanout started a coin called MemeCoin.  You know, like for all memes.  It's brilliant, right?  Supporting ground-breaking coins like this is a huge part of the movement.  But the problem is people don't understand how things should work.  Doge is a meme.  Therefore MemeCoin ought to be worth more than Doge.  Just like a nickel is worth more than a penny.  Hell, anyone's who is not a moron should be able to see that MemeCoin ought to be worth as much as Doge and FlappyCoin and Coinye all put together.  D'uh.  And when it's not we...Get... SO.... ANGRY!  MUST DESTROY!

2) Reduces the competition for pool operators.  Some of the OSC members are pool operators.  This is a great way to trick suckers into to taking out competing pools for them with DDOS attacks.  Because these other pools are doing "evil things".  Wink, wink.

3) Good old-fashioned extortion.  This is the heart of Operation Shitcoin Cleanout.

Here's how it works, in the words of one of the OSC leaders:

If a coin seems to have some legitimate innovation, which we decided is good for the crypto community, perhaps we waive the fee.

If a coin is borderline, we charge some fee like 10 BTC.

If the coin seems like a scam, then we charge double, like 20 BTC.

If any coin does not comply with the application/audit and payment process, they are instantly targeted and destroyed via BCX's methods.

So what does he mean by "targeted and destroyed via BCX's methods?

That's where BitcoinExpress, the muscle of the operation comes in.

And this is a beautiful setup.  The leaders don't even have to pay BCX.  He just does what they tell him to do, no questions asked.

My part is in this operation is brute strength, what ever coins they decide to kill as long as it is not a primary alt is fine by me. I don't even need a reason.

~BCX~

Doesn't even need a reason.  Isn't that beautiful.

So if you are next on the radar, don't bother pleading for your coin.  Doesn't matter.  The leaders decide based on who pays up, and BCX does what he's told.  Doesn't even need a reason.

So your pleading will do you no good.

Better buy some Extortion Coins!

2  Other / Meta / Is it OK to use Bitcointalk to organize criminal enterprises? on: March 23, 2014, 12:14:52 AM
There's a thread in the alt coin section in which members are organizing an extortion ring.  They will demand payment from alt coin creators, and if they don't pay they will launch DDOS attacks and attempt to fork the coin.

Regardless of your feelings about alt coins, this is extortion and it is illegal.

I've reported this thread, and others said they have as well, but it remains open.

Is Bitcointalk OK with the forum being used to organize a criminal enterprise?
